- A rainy summer day and I was out driving around exploring for new fishing holes. As soon as I came across this old creek mill I had to make a few casts. The fishing was on fire.

Trim your trailer and the skirt…promise it’ll help. I was losing fish like crazy and randomly was told to trim. I don’t let the skirt go past the bend of the hook. Money…

I've had that happen before and although I thought my hook was not dull, it was.
After giving it a good hone the lure worked great!
If you search what ever creek that is, and add in usgs, you can see what the flow of a particular creek is, some of them track the turbidity aka mud, of the water as well. Up here fishing steelhead thats a huge tool for what creeks i pick to hit or skip. Hope it helps you as well.

Dude that was cool 😎. The music, the opener laying on the anticipation then the pay off. I definitely like to trim the spinnerbait skirts down near the bend of the hook. I,also leave a few strands that are longer as the teaser. My favorite was the first catch of the target species...smallies. Ooh...there's a good one...what is it??? A smally.. comere...git over here! good fishing - don't forget to use the crawdad or hellgrammite - they both outfish everything else the vast amount of the time in the right conditions - rapids/spillways

NEW SUBSCRIBER-----Found you while looking up videos about lake Ocoee / Parksville. My son will be in college at Lee university so I will be fishing that area more often.
I live iin North Georgia and love all the little creeks and stuff we have around. Problem is access...can't really blame people nowadays because they're tired of others in the past messing things up. Just like deer hunting, I really try to find new places all the time. I kayak fish and have a 16' jon boat rigged up, always looking for something new.

I particularly enjoyed your touring on that day . Such beautiful green mountainous countryside, gorgeous. But then everywhere you fish out there is beautiful. Thanks for mentioning how to select the music. I had been conscience of your selections and appreciate your choices. I recently heard of a comedian who wanted to use some of Paul McCartney's stuff and he would've been charged $600,000 for that privilege . .You found a good resource ! Another nice aspect of your video was how you enhanced it with some very nice drone footage. That was a good compliment. Your skill in the entire package shows much improvement as I have witnessed most all your videos and its all fun to observe.

I have always done well after storms that muddy a creek up and make it rise just a touch. Spinnerbaits, chatturbaits, even noisy topwater seemed to work really well.

I love finding spots like this. Now that I do more ultralight fishing, it has opened up so much more water ways for me to explore here in New Jersey. Summertime is the best to climb into a stream and get cooled off while fishing.

Boy this weather has been absolutley wild. I'm in Logan County KY KY TNBorder so Were getting some of the same fronts. Them clouds have been absolutkey insane up here. My river is shot right now but I hit the lake yesterday for 8 hours on my yak got absolutley sun ROASTED John im serious 🤣🤣🤣

Have you debated using underspins at all? I use them with trout magnets. Maybe better for covering water in creeks.

i may love natural waterfalls but seeing falls like that is awesome too. seeing a wall as old as that one like always make me ask the question how the made it. i mean those are stones not cement and how they stop the water to place the stones

Ayyyyyyye I'm a local Kentucky fishermen myself brother! I near LBL qbout a hour 9 mins from it. Down near Clarksville TN KY border. Near Guthrie KY in Todd county.

That looked like a long thick skirt. I personally use humdinger spinnerbaits. The skirts are shorter and the way the hook is made it is rare you loose a fish. I don’t fish with a trailer hook either.

I usually don't like river fishing after heavy rains. I feel like they have too much food coming in. You seed to do fine. Though my best days have often been on rainy days. Great job again. I share your site all the time.

I felt your pain losing all those fish. I was fishing watts bar lake for largies but I need to fix my medium heavy casting rod, so I was trying to fish a texas rig on a lighter rod
I used a thinner hook and everything but 8/9 fish threw the hook, and the only one I actually landed was 10"...

Time to time. Can try shortening the trailer, they sometimes are hitting that. I watched a few bass one time hitting the spinner and not the trailer. Love your vids and spots like this.

Man, I enjoy your videos, they take me back to my much younger days fishing creeks! Here is little tip on fishing spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, etc. , slightly open the tip of the hook for better hookups. Keep on fishing while you can !!!!!
