    The hunter-gatherers we are descended from had to work 3-4 hours a day in order to fulfill the needs of daily life, the rest of that time was spent being near others in intimate tribes of well under 10,000 people; the move to agricultural and industrial life meant workdays of 10+ hours with whatever spare free time remaining being put towards navigating massive, impersonal cities of no fewer than 100,000 people. It's not your fault - you're just trying to sit down at the campfire and have a meaningful interaction the way you were evolved to. 🫂❤

      Am I wrong in saying that the man in this picture is fake, but the bold women (Egyptianess) are real, based off of coin portraits of CarlosUSsss III of Spain. And the fact that genesis 25:25 exists. Imagine the creepy face of Carlos-us's father had he been pure blood red devil - bold black thin lip bbg steppa girl friend creepy enough.

    I always say that addictions are a replacement of something that's missing in ur life

  • @xanderxxvblaze
    @xanderxxvblaze 3 місяці тому +49

    Most bad habits and addictions stem from meaninglessness in life, followed by boredom.
    So the bad habits are not the pivot of our predicaments. Its our purposelessness. Our lack of wisdom and perception. i.
    People often get so fixated on certain bad habits that they start to fear that if they let this certain habit go, they wont be able to feel this beautiful lie anymore. They start fearing the truth...unknowingly. They fall in love with the highs, the rushes, the pleasures. Bad habits are just a mode of escapism.
    When you dont face your fears, most things you do thereupon becomes a cope for not facing the fears you were supposed to encounter.
    So yeah, dont blame the bad habits. Accept that you sill a larvae, ever growing and learning. Theres lotta stuff for us to learn. You are still a bucket that hasnt been filled to the rim yet, also dont let that be an excuse, let it be an opportunities. Find growth. Reject weakness, its poison.
    The best thing you can do to boost this journey of growth is to accept the truth and keep moving forward. Truth will be harsh, but whats the point if its not.

    I don't know your age but girl. You are EXTREMELY evolved and self-aware for your age. Honestly. That is why you don't have friends. Maybe, maybe, you could find a friend in someone in their 50s or over. Because young people do not think like you do. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!! There are people like you. But they are few. Sending love

    People used to literally die from homesickness. Modern culture has nearly obliterated home and community, thus likely the inundation of addictions and 'mental illnesses', aka most of them probably a completely normal human response to 'homesickness' for cultural connection that is almost no more as well as the inundation of toxins our organs, brains, and emotions have to now contend with.

    i love videos like this because you describe my situation perfectly.. love the algorithim for it. i grew up having friends because i thought i needed them and to be honest, it made me so lost not being able to relate to people, leaving me with few people i talk to now. i think its a beautiful thing that social media exists to connect likeminded people though. youre on the right track , keep showing up each day and one day youll have so much strength you won't recognize this "broken person" youre trying to fix. maybe we were never broken but just humans experiencing life and trying to survive with our needs, but as we grow we learn to accept the messy and good parts of life and ourselves. its all about being intentional with our needs, pouring the right thing into the cup that will quench that thirst

    Recognizing and admitting that you are addicted is a crucial first step, similar to how an alcoholic must acknowledge their situation. It takes courage to face this truth, and I admire you for doing so. By addressing this issue and speaking openly about it, you are taking positive steps towards freeing yourself from its hold. Remember that feeding your addiction only diminishes your energy and hinders your growth. It's beneficial to focus on higher thoughts and connect with the divine. Take time each day to meditate and reflect on your journey. I wish you strength and success as you navigate this path towards healing and liberation.

    Wow! Thank you for sharing your perspective. I feel we make things harder for ourselves by exaggerating the importance of things we "need". For me it helps to care less about whether I get something I want or whether things go the way I want. If I take an aloof "we'll see" attitude and let go of controlling the situation, I feel freer, less constrained, and less focused on if/then concerns. If I get it or not, or if this or that happens, it's fine either way! Let life live and let yourself laugh at the craziness. How dull it would be if we always get what we want and nothing surprising happens! 😊

    I feel like you're the person on the internet I can relate closest to, like our journey paths are exactly aligned, despite being of different genders.
    Not that I'm trying to bring up antagonistic gender dynamics, its just surprising to me that the struggle im going through is articulated by a gal better than most (maybe my belief systems just been brainwashed from male-oriented self-improvement content idk)
    I've thought about this topic too but it sounded so doomful knowing that my unmet needs will drive my bad habits unless I meet them appropriately (which ive tried to find a way for but i cant see an actionable solution to it), so I end up burying it. But then I keep asking myself why I cant break my habits through despite my best attempts lol.
    Thank you for making this video, your content helped me reached important realizations along the way. Keep doing what you're doing, these stuffs are genuine and authentic 💚

    Bad habits are maladaptive behaviors, so no, they're not meeting a need. For example, excessive eating. When you're eating much more calories than you require, you're not meeting a need anymore; you've gone beyond the need, and if you do this habitually, it's a maladaptive behavior. Basically, you're meeting the illusion of a need or a proxy for a need, if you will, but not the need itself. Your conclusion that "a bad habit is meeting a need" is a faulty one. The bad habit is actually an obstacle to meeting the need.

    • @vivalamew
      @vivalamew 3 місяці тому

      Excessive eating has the same function on the brain as drugs and alcohol- a temporary cover-up and distraction for bad emotions. So it does fill a need, it just doesn't last for very long.

      people understand that they are excessively going back to bad habits that are bad for them and they are aware of that however I think the premise of the video was to ask yourself this- why do you/people fall into these bad habits?when do you fall into your bad habits? Do you fall into bad habits more heavily when closer to a timeline where you were stressed out? The whole thing is a bad habit is a comfort that is used when felt needed because that one bad habit could be the only thing making you feel happy in a situation entirely foreign to you that you know is good for you.

    Check out this idea. On needs and wants. I call it the Beauty and the Beast, So we have Beauty and Ugliness, or Like and Dislikes, wants and dont wants, Love and Hate, I got over my female addiction by relizing that what we view as Beautifull and Ugly controls our Attention and actions, and that we can move these things around. Everything in this world has no meaning untill we give it a meaning, anything can be beautiful anything can be ugly. Men have problems with porn and women nowadays because they have made women so beautifull in their minds and themselves so ugly in their minds that they are suffering big time, so unbalanced, and all they have to do is look at the uglyness in the beautyfull things and the beauty un the ugly. And this applyes to any addiction, all you have to do is say eww. And youl statt to dislike it, like food for people that over eat. Ofcourse you can always take it to the other extreme and mess it up again. So basically to look at everything as beautifull and uggly is a good balance. Beauty Ultimately is the Highest truth tho, but in this earth life uglyness is created to have a counter balance, a polarity, Duality thats what creates this reality,
