Don't get me wrong, I love those real estate videos of you showing us penthouses I personally will never be able to afford in more than three lifetimes, but these vlogs of you just talking about the stuff you like, that's what I really love to see on your channel. You just being real, honest and true to yourself, that's what I really look forward to see when I wonder when you're going to post. oh gosh I'm sorry thats what you thought haha. I haven't had my license since 2020. I sold for maybe 6 months and realize that MOST real estate agents become agents as a fall back plan for their big dreams in life.
This is wonderful Erik. Your achievements on UA-cam and in real estate are undeniable, and you have touched many people with your more personal vlogs. But I feel that what you are doing now is the most healthy thing for a human being. I wish you success and happiness in this field and I hope there are many more roles for you ahead. x

Hey, Erik glad you posted this. My sister and I were discussing this in the car on the way to see D U N E this morning actually. My niece is an off-Broadway actress. She left today for Connecticut for a play for two months called Sanctuary City performing the lead role, her name is Sarah Gutierez. She has done several in NYC where she lives in Bushwick. Congratulations! I do not live in New York so I can’t come to see your show but I am so happy for you. I have watched your You tube channel for a while and like your channel. Have a wonderful time doing your show and life is a long game…just keep moving forward. I was 40 when I went back to school to get the accounting credits to sit for the CPA. I had 3 young children and a very helpful husband. It was hard work but I did it and now my children are grown-we put them through college and now they are all married, have children and getting on with their lives. I am retired now but so grateful I had the dream and worked toward it. So happy your dream is coming true. Dreams are wonderful things to have. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have followed your journey, phases, success and loss since 2016…that’s almost a decade dude. Like you said, you’re in it for the long game. I can relate because I will be in vet school & research for years before I can do what I truly want to do. I wish we could somehow watch the play from a recording or something! If you guys do, please let me know.
The covid lockdown shut down on my birthday. I was going to an off Broadway show. I always visit theater as much as I can, but I actually haven’t since that cancelling of the show. I would like to get back into watching really talented folks and the stories on stage!

Erik, I couldn’t possibly agree more that people are going to (or are) growing fatigued of short-form digital content and will crave more live theatre again. For me, I know seeing live performance is my main way out of the matrix, lol! I hope to spend the rest of my life enjoying the talent of other hardworking artists, particularly face-to-face and in-person. Hope to have that opportunity seeing you perform one day, as well!

I thought I came here to be Mr. Science Man, but the last few years have been a huge mess professionally. Do I like this, or is it just inertia? I was okay with where I was before, so why did I come to NYC at all? I came here for something else.

I'm not in the real estate business; I don't even live in America.
In 2020 I lost my job as a network admin whilst in uni for a Math/Phys double major. No job, had to move back home with my family.
FF 4 years, my gf has a great job and I'm a software engineer as my 9-5, but I started producing music and DJing at nights about 2 years ago because it's what I really want to do, but now I can easily pay the bills, we can travel, have benefits, and can finally chart a course in life, as well as pursue my passion responsibly.
The overall message here resonates with me; I've followed this channel for over 6 years simply because the properties "looked cool" and nothing more.
Now I'm actually thinking about the future, and I'd love a place in Sweden eventually.
Please don't give up, lads.
If I can make it, you can.
This wasn't in Erik's message, but I am a spiritual man, and I thank God, personally.

I think you hit a nail on people being sick of digital stuff and wanting to experience "real stuff". I am so burned out and tired of having my work, relaxation etc in the same place- my computer. I think this is a real problem for younger people (im 26).

New York would be the place to be if you want to make it. Lauren Norris moved to NYC from Alabama. She won miss Alabama last year. So NYC gave her all sorts of opportunities. She went to LA but got really bad vibes and ended up in NYC. She's as pretty as Elle on "Legally Blonde".

Everything you said about timing and struggle was almost verbatim what my pastor said this morning. I also spent 10 years chasing my artistic dream in NYC only to be bitterly disappointed- but not enough to give up. Thanks for sharing this hope. ps. And I always thought you were a wealthy realtor!

Erik. I am a retired Substance Abuse Counselor (28 day rehab) and relate to what you just spoke about following your TRUE desire in life. I had a male patient (early 30s) who came from an extremely wealthy family in CT. His parents paid for his apartment in NYC; paid for college education to obtain a Masters Degree in Education; and paid $18,000 for his 28 day in-patient treatment. His drug of choice was cocaine/crack. He was not employed despite constant reminders from his parents to get a teaching position. He did NOT want to be a teacher -- he wanted to be a DOG WALKER in NYC. He actually did that without his parents knowing and found such pleasure tending to the animals and was making a decent amount of money. He said the crack would take away the guilt for lying to his parents about looking for a teaching job. After having a session with the patient and his parents, I explained exactly what you said "do what makes you happy in life and don't worry about what others think or say". This client still stays in touch with me and has a very prosperous dog walking business in NYC that is over $125,000 a year. So Erik FOLLOW YOUR DREAM OR DESIRE -- best of luck and keep following your dream.

I subscribed cause your videos had a lot of heart.i was always inspired by your mindset, motivation and travels. You are a lot of us inspired to be…. I unsubscribed when your videos are just became too full of house tours that said nothing about what made me such a big fan. They, in my opinion, though expertly made, didn’t say anything about you anymore. They lost the heart, and soul…. And honestly, I’m glad you addressed this loss of oneself in this video…..
