My only concern is closed religious (doesn't actually have to be religious) communities like this sometimes become breeding grounds for really scuzzy stuff. Victims can't really escape their community without leaving all they've known behind. And victimizers are often given protection due to their status in the community.

Shabbat is wonderful, we look forward to it all week. That day is set aside for rest from work, rest from chores, laundry, dishes, washing the car, mowing the lawn, even playing sports or fishing or TV. We are to focus on family and Him, G-d, the Creator. For He gave us this time, and the wheat to make the bread, and the meat, the grapes to make the wine with. It is a time to put aside our worries, the bills, the stress of every day life. Try it, you may find it wonderful too

Let it be known to all:
Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
I tell ye, truly, Jesus of Nazareth is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. He is the anointed one, for he is, Jesus Christ. God the Father has raised him from the dead; who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God! Angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by him. They who believe and are baptized with the Holy Spirit shall be saved; but they who believe not shall be damned. For they who believe not on him, shall die in their sins!
I tell ye now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!
They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God...
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."
      1 John 2:2 KJV
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
      Acts 13:26-33 KJV
26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, *and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.*
27 *For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.*
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 *And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.*
30 *But God raised him from the dead:*
31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 *And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,*
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
      1 Peter 3:22 KJV
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
      John 14:6 KJV
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
      Mark 16:16 KJV
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
      John 8:24 KJV
24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
      Acts 2:38 KJV
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
      Luke 11:13 KJV
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
      John 14:21-24 KJV
21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*

Perhaps if you knew what they did behind the scenes, in the dark, and in the tunnels, you would have less respect for them
Their faith is in mysticism, the occultic Kabbalah and the Luciferian Talmud, not the Holy Bible (which they claim is the least important). Their "family values" are odd at best (pe-do-phili∆ and r∆pe are rampant amongst the Ju's. Their "holy" book the Talmud not only condones it but encourages it. Why we're now hearing so much about the I-D-F raping prisoners, especially children, which they've been doing for years. We're even seeing videos of it in action. We've all heard about that horrific ra-pe in one of their dreadful prisons just a few weeks ago that was filmed and sent around the internet! The I-D-F soldiers that did it were arrested, then hundreds of Ju's in the city rioted around the prison demanding the release so the authorities released them. Sounds like Sodom and Gomorrah, when the sodomites were banging on the door of Lots home demanding he release his guests so they could rape them). The head honcho Ju I-D-F soldier who instigated the ra-pe went on the talk show circuit justifying it. Just horrific).
Those are not normal people. No wonder Jesus hated them. He rebuked them and said they were of the Syn-ag-ogue of Sa-tan

I think the only belief that can save humanity,
is to love our world, nature and each other.
Any belief system that separates one human from another,
      especially with violence,
      Is a zero-sum game.
Why would God wish death or war OR SEGREGATION by his word?
If God created this amazing planet and everything on this planet?
Why would God want us to destroy each other or any part of it's beauty?
Orthodoxy is cozy...you feel safe having the "right" belief.
But to be "right" about what God wants means that another person hast to be "wrong" about what god wants.
This is what is often referred to as Zero-sum game.
There is the earth and it's flora and fauna.
We may be the "keepers" of the earth....as CHOSEN by God?
If we are.....don't we have to STOP making war?
Look at all the wars through the millennia......isn't it time to make the final law?
      The law against WAR
SO that we can move forward in peace?
Didn't God create Physics if God created the World?
      So then......God=Science=Math=Physics?
      God=Truth=Math=Science=Physics=Law....etc...AND ETC.
God doesn't seem so complicated to me.....God=Truth=Geometry=Math......
      Anyway you get my drift.
I recommend all ltra Orthodox religions look at the fossil record
That humans have unearthed, and found falling out of eroded rock.
      Pliosaur......it's not in the Torah.
      But it should be.

I thought she made a great liaison, bridging the cultural gap. And it's also important because there is an LGBTQ population in orthodox communities which need to feel that they have a face, a voice and a choice. I’m a Muslim Imam, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this eye opening video by Drew. I gained additional insights into the various religious aspects of the diverse Jewish culture in the USA. Knowledge of all “hue-mankind” and all global religious traditions is essentially powerful and useful. It’s very important to me in by overall world views of various ethnicities and their religious understandings, which may be different from my deeply held orthodox Islamic beliefs. Drew deserves credit for displaying his religious faith for one and all to see. Much respect, again, is offered by me in taking the time to objectively watch this video. Unfortunately, a lot of people have abandoned their religion and a lot of churches are closed. This is very unfortunate because we need God in our lifes. I believe in god I should probably say that but I don’t identify myself with any religion there is only one god. I also believe that religion is man made the history of any religion is not good if you look at it the atrocities each religion has committed in name of god is wrong in my opinion.

I am just now coming to this video. I am Muslim and part of the LGBTQ community. Seeing your friend talk about how she was essentially shunned, brought back quite a bit of trauma from the rejection I went through at my own Muslim community. I am fortunate that my parents and family never shunned me, but the rejection I faced at my local mosque was horrible. In one immediate decision, one that I wasn't a part of, I lost a lot of friends, and was told that I can still attend prayers and Jummah, but I had to sit and pray in the back closest to the doors, and leave before anyone else, and to not talk to anyone. In turn no one would speak to me or even acknowledge my presence. I will say that you made a wonderful documentary and were very respectful to the community. I am glad however that you didn't sugarcoat the negative things. Please keep doing wonderful work.

      Be it known:

As a Mexican-American Catholic. I actually worked at a Reform Synagogue in Fort Worth. And that in itself was a strange and learning experience. I remember a Orthodox Rabbi one time and I had to turn on and off the water faucet for him to wash his hands. After a while I felt a part of the community. (I got Shabbat kisses from the Jewish Grandmas on Friday evenings) I knew I just had a small experience with Judaism . But I'm grateful to know a different community outside my own. As I was told the story when a child, Jesus was a practicing Jewish person. It would stand to reason then, that in order to better know this person one would have to have some basic understanding of the Torah. I wish more people could find their way to this understanding or rather opinion. Keeping the Laws for thousands of years through all that they have had to live through has to be a mixed blessing. To see people marching with torches through the streets of America screaming ugly things based on religious hate of a people is a sad thing to me.

As a Hasidic Jew, rarely have I seen UA-camrs visit the Hasidic community and give such a thorough and honest portrayal as you have in this video. Yasher Koach! The world needs more people like you who visit communities and look at it from the bigger picture, showing not only the cons but also the beautiful things we can learn from them. Yes, it is a well done video. In many ways, though, it is needlessly judgemental and incorrect. e.g.:
      1. Friday night candle lighting is not when 2 stars are visible. It is 18 minutes before sunset.
      2. It is not true that the. Hasidic ( and other orthodox) Yeshiva education system does not give a complete education to the children. That is pure New York Times antisemitism. The Yeshiva educated boys and girls get an education that makes them be successful, responsible, self confident, grateful adults. This is overwhelmingly proven by comparing Yeshiva/ Chasidic educated children to secularly educated children.
      3. To pass judgement that women are not treated justly in the Chasidic community, is ignorant and prejudiced. Just talk to any Chasidic/Orthodox women and girls.
The intentions might have been good, but
much more background research is needed to make such a video report accurate and true to life.
