Wow $700 for this size apartment in North of Brooklyn is a great deal! Me and my partner have just found a king size one bedroom with a separate kitchen and living room at the very South of Brooklyn. It’s very reasonable as Brooklyn but still costs $1700.
Smart move. What's more is people who have homes dont even enjoy being home they prefer being out in the world. So much wasted space and money left on the walls.

honestly, i got super lucky with this spot. somewhat affordable apartments aren't impossible to find, but you definitely have to put in the effort. however, i know a friend of a friend who's lived in the city on sub 1k rents for almost ten years so it's definitely possible, best of luck!

Yes, he can get cheaper rent in The Bronx but there is a high crime rate in The Bronx, the highest of any borough in NYC, so that is a big "NO" to living in The Bronx!
