Can't describe how much I love voice 8. It's so soothing, melancholic, a bit rusty. This soft whispering breaks my heart. Extremely feminine, thoughful. I think this kind of voice goes well for sorceress or wizard girl with tragic past. Reminds me of voice of Blue Diamond from Steven universe
For this reason, I really want voiced dialogue. God, these voices are beautiful. Especially 3rd vote. Thanks to the author for the video. Now at least I can somehow listen to them in... my free time.
@@DrGears-sn4gj Voice acting is expensive; let us use our brains. 1+1=2. If voice acting is really expensive, would any developer include as many dialog options with a voiced main character? No, because it would be astronomically expensive, money is not infinite and developers can't look into the future to see if their game will be a massive game changer. If we use our brains once more, I know it's hard, but we can use other games as examples. Dragon Age Inquisition has a voice character, and that game does not have even half of the options we have in BG3. Why? Because the main character is voiced. Durr Durr. Dumb take. Durr Durr.
It's a doozy to hear the default Durge voice (Tav voice 5) say all this. Imo and ironically he's the most emotive of all the voices, with his voice shaking when his RO is downed as if he's teetering on the edge of desperation and insanity. Really drives the "tragic hero overcoming himself" narrative

I think it’s a dialogue bug, or maybe it's a thing with high approval (Tav said the same thing for Wyll, & both him & Gale are at the peak levels of approval at this point), but I’m interpreting it as my Tav deciding to UHaul it a week into getting a worm in his head
I love it a lot well😇 It's my main Tav's voice too, a monk/bard with an urchin background. I love that she can be equally soothing AND raspy. That's what she's about in terms of personality, kinda. And yeah most of the lines are delivered with such heart... The laugh triggered by the laughing monk amulet is so goofy, and the vicious mockery insults are also hilariously delivered with this voice - so you should totally check them out if you haven't already 😂

I love Tina Barnes, voice 8, because she reminds me so much of Alix Regan, who played the British female voice for the female Inquisitor in DA:I. Ugh, and I always romance the pretty, heartwrenching Elves 😂
The voice choices for Tav are actually pretty good. Tav’s voice actors/actresses actually have some depth and don’t sound overly generic like in other games where you can choose your custom characters voice.

It sounds so sweet and gentle, the line where they say "I'm on my way :D" is so cute to me for some reason, heard it a lot in my game. Also, the "speak to" lines triggered for me all the time, even when I clicked on non-romanced characters. Was kinda funny to hear my tav refer to their bestie as "first in my heart", and not to their romanced companion :'D
I love how incredibly soft and sweet voice 3 is. My beefy tiefling ranger Durge sounds like he's half-whispering most of the time when he's not getting awfully giddy with the Durge-specific voice lines. What a babe.

My current durge is a bard with a flair for both the gruesome and dramatic, naturally. They're romancing Astarion and 21:58 is just so bittersweet. Like they're trying to be their usual smart self while ragging on Astarion but is barely holding it together because they're so afraid of losing the first person to ever see them for who they really are.
does anyone know why my tav doesn't say anything like that? i mean, whe she heals her partner or smth she just pronounce spell. some people told me that she should stand a bit far from character so she needs to walk a bit and then cast a spell and while she walks - she will say smth. but no, the distance doesn't matter

Is it just me or does Tav voice 2 sound an awful lot like the "female" mc voice in Hogwarts Legacy? Especially the "It's opened" voice clip, it just sounds so much like it. I wonder if it's really the same VA or if they just sound similar

I played with voice 5 for my Durge run too! Some of the voice lines were astounding, especially the occasional Durge specific line!
