Big fan of voice 4. I played her as resisting, and she really sells the "Haunted" vibe as she mutters most of her line with a hinge of dread. And then the shift to her combat voice NAILS the loss of control
For my first two characters I chose voice 2 (neither where durge) but for the third one I wanted to try something else and holy am I thankful for that. I live her voice so much it's so manic and crazy
Larian knew exactly what they were doing when they picked Voice 5 as the default. Hearing the others and I think, hey these are good. But once it gets to voice 5 everyone else just sounds so weak. Voice 8 is the only other good contender. She really captured the brutal, psychotic Durge vibe. Voice 7 says everything way too fast, I think he was going for that crackhead energy which makes him my least favorite, which is ironic because he's my favorite for regular Tav.
I think the actual voice actor for voice 7 nails that traditional evil voice type really well, like a more exaggerated and gravely version of voice 5. It's just a shame his lines are spoken too quickly, it makes them less dramatised and not as eerily intimidating as 5.
I think voice 7 suits the silent assassin role, as you can really picture that voice coming from under a hood in the shadows. Neil Roberts is definitely my favourite though. The rasp stands out, as well as the poetic, theatrical inflection in his voice.
Yooo, that's exactly what I was planning to do! For the girls, Voice 4 sounded the most crazed and evil of all of them for a chosen of Bhaal run while Voice 8 sounded the most genuinely sincere for a redemption one
“Into the bloody fray!”- by voice 4 is my favourite line, also “they’re dying for me” and “behold, the dance of death!” She has such a beautiful madness in her voice. I used it for my first playthrough as Tav, but with Durge it was interesting to know this other side of that voice and it’s mindblowing!
Tav4 Is so fun to playthrough with. I go between Tav4 and Tav5/Default Durge as they are the clear best choices. They have such passion and allure and know how to sound convincingly manic when the script demands them of it. Just big love to those VA’s x
I adore Voice 3 with this, gave me chills when he started laughing in Act 3 the closer we were getting to fighting Orin. As if he knew what was coming. But I think I'm going to try voice 5 with my next Paladin redeemed Durge
Voice 1 sounds kind of scared and unhinged, Voice 3 sounds psychotic, and Voice 7 sounds like a generic evil guy (in a good way) the problem is he says the lines way too fast :/
Also worth noting, most of the ones where a Va is actively shouting are exclusive to the evil Durge. Interestingly, “I can do better. I must.” Is also exclusive to the evil durge.
4s "they're dying for me" line makes it my favorite.

Anyone else stan voice 4? Easily my favorite.
I love it, she's so expressive and has this mania in her voice, absolutely amazing

Voice 3’s “where am I? What’s going on?” Quote always makes me feel so bad

Voice 3’s Father, are you watching is so satisfying
Voice 1's "a fine day for murder" line has got me wanting to play yet another embrace urge.
Voice 7 my beloved.
Always a choice for my redeemed Oathbreaker Paladin Durge
I ended up using Voice 4 for my murderhobo evil durge and Voice 8 for my redeemed durge

Love Voice 3 so much
