- Well, here it is! A story retold how it exists in my heart and mind for my Dark Urge, Zora, and Lord Enver Gortash; both freed of their tethers to Bhaal and Bane by death and rebirth. (Time did not permit me to show the Dark Urge's resurrection at the Bhaal Temple, but that's part of canon and I thought it far more important to show my reimagined ending for Gortash.)

We all know at the very least they were "special friends", hehe. I just like to think they were WAY more than that because ever since my first non-durge playthrough I wanted to explore a deeper story with him. I'm a magnet for a handsome tyrant with a troubled past.
I am very confident that they will put some Durgetash content into the game when adding the evil endings.

Gortash ruined my Durges for any companion, his death still hurts, and I can't get over the fact that there's no ending with him :( (as of patch 6 at least). These videos feed my Durgetash rotten heart, thank you!

Everything about this is total eye candy! The animations on the models are so freaking smooth it felt like I was watching some actual cutscenes from the game about the past! And your Durge is so pretty!

I really wanted to give some unique angles and camera pathing than what is coded into the game just to mix it up a bit and make it as unique as possible, since we're all pretty much recycling the same content to tell our stories. I really appreciate when viewers notice some of these added details, and it makes me just want to do more. My Durge, Zora, told me to also thank you for the compliments!
This is a work of art. ❤🔥 Truly beautiful, especially seeing Enver in an array of different costumes. Instant favorite for making my heart leap out of its chest whilst watching this at least three times in a row. I REALLY love the storytelling in this, how it flows, and looks so genuine! It makes me wish this was an actual route in the game that a player could take. 😭 This is as good as it gets!

Thank you so much! I honestly was all about Astarion from the get-go, and never imagined I would enjoy any character above him, but in my first play through when I first saw Gortash, I was immediately intrigued. Then, the more we learn about him through Act 3 just had me completely roped in.
There will be more videos, for certain! I was actually in the process of a follow up to this one to explain some of what happens between his death and return, and how it all happens as it is not what most people think, but another creator ended up releasing something painfully similar to what I had begun to edit, so I scrapped it, sadly.

Thank you so much for your kind comment! Setting out on storyboarding this video, I knew I didn't want the death to be a big part of this. All of us who love Gortash probably wince with the very same pain when playing through or watching that part. My story has always been about rebirth, as Durge comes back free from her tether to Bhaal, I always headcanoned Gortash coming back free from Bane's influence. My fanfic is still a WIP but it tells the full story of this concept. 🥰

Beautiful story - I love it. I have a similar headcanon for my main durge (avatar guy here) but it's a little more monsters being polite monsters.
I know the starcrossed lovers tragic ending is also very popular in the durgetash community, but I can't handle it unless it's the end of the world lol. So I really appreciate your version!

Throughout the entire thing, I was literally "oh, my!" 😳🥴 I recognized some of the scenes from other companion romances.
It would be very interesting if that were to actually happen with evil Durge playthrough.
It'd be amazing if we had the option in the game! I'm just grateful for the mods and tools that let me live out my headcanon, lol, and super grateful that others are enjoying it, too! (Stay tuned for the next installment, which I hope to release very soon...)

I understand why larian couldn't do more with gortash because they've already given us so much. But gortash would have much potential for more storytelling, he was sold to the devil by his own parents and tortured so of course he would cling to power for himself to never feel hopeless or at least that's what I took from it
Just imagine as romance or close friendship as durge with gortash with a more fleshed out story of him. That would've been pretty good to see

It would definitely be amazing to see him as an official romance option in the game, but Larian has made it clear there will be no more content updates (only bug fixes) after the new evil endings are released. That said, if you're willing to dig into the world of modding, you can still create your own story!

@@SimplyMarshmallow18 Zora is chaotic neutral and my post-Banite Gortash is kind of between lawful and chaotic neutral. They're both kind of still figuring things out after both being freed from the bounds of their former lords.

lol, yes; though there is more to the story that I plan on showing in future videos! Zora (my Durge) actually goes through quite a bit to get him back and strikes a deal with Withers.

Thanks for the kind comment! Most of the mods used are listed in the description, but I currently have over 65 active mods in my mod manager, so it's way too many to list. Most of the armor sets are just dyed pieces from a very popular mod called Basket of Equipment. Hairstyle is a simple ponytail from Silver's Hair.

Thanks for the kind words! This isn't a romance, it is an event that plays when you rescue the Tieflings in Act II and return to Last Light Inn to see them reunite. You need to utilize Cheat Engine & NPC Tool to make the swaps.
Nothing fits but its still a better love story than Twilight :D
Hi! The time constraints of this video did not permit me to tell the entire story (for instance, the details of how she rescues his soul from eternal torment prior to making a deal with Withers), nor is it chronological (due to the nature of flashbacks) but it is kind of hard to explicitly state without either putting text on the video or using AI voices (which I will never do). I've been out of video editing for over a decade, so I appreciate constructive criticism. I'd love to know more about what "nothing fits" refers to so that I might take it as food for thought going forward. Thanks for watching and commenting!
