Perfect reunion timing wise. It was only roughly 10 years after RoC so they still had some youthful punk energy to give as did their core fans. We were still in our 30s. After TMV and Sparta split, we all but lost hope that there could ever be a reunion. Between the 2012 and 2016 shows, I must have gone to like 5 of them because you knew that it was a special time and almost one last celebration of our rapidly fleeting youth. And here we are 10 years later. Viva ATDI, my youth.

This was the time Omar's mother passed away and he just wasn't into performing at the time. But Cedric is fucking hilarious in between songs, que chingon! \m/

Yeah, he’s straight Sonic-Youthing it thru a lot of these songs. (nothing against SY but you know what I mean).

This band are freakin out there! They make music no one understands but it all sounds killer. I once tried reading the lyrics and it confused the hell outta me. I now understand the technique. It's the sound of the words not the meaning. That's genius level songwriting. Not many people can write lyrics that make no sense on paper but when they're put to music it all explodes. Meat Puppets are one of the only other bands that have been doing it for decades.

Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's meaningless. Maybe you're just too young? Or too shallow? Or too dumb?

they do have meanings, it's just very surreal and abstract. the majority of in/casino/out is very political, you just gotta deconstruct every line.

I was sitting patiently in Detroit, waiting for my first show 11 year's after finding them in the record store. They canceled the rest of the North America tour while in NY City and flew to Europe. My heart was crushed with no make up dates. I got a call about 6 months later saying their gonna make up the 5 dates. It was a very rewarding experience. Well worth the wait. Thanks for posting!

I equate ATDI as a Steven King novel or some obscure painting that’s yet to be discovered and get huge praise for. Reminds me of a painting that ya you see the painting but Omar’s guitar is like all the colors in the background holding it all together. Simply beautiful
