AB - Ancienne Belgique is an internationally acclaimed concert venue for contemporary music located right in the heart of Europe: Brussels.
In my top 5 favourite albums. And in my top 5 favourite bands ever. I love Sparta. It's impossible to explain why you like something. You can explain liking a building or a design of a car etc. You can't explain why you like a band. It goes a bit deeper. Jim playing 3-4 parts each song and killing it oin vocals. I do miss the old band with Tony etc and I wish they'd reconnect. But this is pure class
Saw this tour in Cleveland a few months back, and the videos I've seen on YT so far do it no justice. So fucking awesome in person.
Yeah they were awesome in pensacola
If Sparta does a tour for Porcelain, ill quit my job to make sure i make it. I would drive to California from Tennessee if I had to. (GOD please dont make me lol) ....like, i love this album. As we all do. It holds a special place in my heart. And it brings me back to the time period from which it was released.
But Porcelain, in my opinion, is when they were truly firing on all cylinders
its on, bro!
Its a desert island album for me. This album means so much to me and been listening to it for nearly the 20 years its been released. I will never tire of listening to this album. I was devastated when I could not board my flight to Boston when it was overbooked and I missed the concert of a lifetime. I am so grateful this was taken and uploaded.
This album is a masterpiece. Right up there with "Slip" by Quicksand.
i got to finally see my favorite band in myrtle beach sc thank you jim and matt i love u guys so so so so much!!...SPARTA RULES!
We had such an amazing time playing with Sparta this night. so much fun that I left my Ray Bans in the green room.... well worth it
I love Jim and I generally like what he has to say but I loved how they didnt talk. Lol. Until the second set.
My favorite part of this album is that you can hear ATDI throughout its entirety; albeit a tamer ATDI sans Omar's wild melodic solos and Cedric's over-the-top vocals. It's the album they would have made had they survived the fame, drugs, and pressure; and with Sparta Jim proved to be an incredible frontman and songwriter once he took the spotlight. WS is one of my fav entirety albums without one dead song.
Even though there are only 3 musicians they sound great, i dont know who is the drummer but is killer
Neil Hennessey from the Lawrence arms
God I hope they do a tour for this (maybe hoping for a Porcelain one would be too greedy lol). I'm glad they're still playing but I feel like they don't usually mix my favorites from Wiretap into their usual sets.
They just did a whole tour for wiretap scars
Such a great band - loved seeing this.
They need a touring guitarist to help on guitars and backing vocals to save his voice. Hope they consider
WHOA!
Awesome performance
Had no idea this was being filmed, awesome! Will the rest of the set be posted aswel?
Either way loved the show, glad I can rewatch it.
Great album!
Sensational
thank you
Nice one! Been to another gig - it was great :)
WOOHOO
Thank you for sharing this!!❤❤
f crying, it's bringing back so many memories.
whats up with that hush at the beginning ? lol quit doing tha. I REMEMBER going to see these guys in SF in 2004 ,i didn't have a ticket I went with a girl i was at that time and she got a ticket but I DIDN'T and it was kinda sad so I play sad guy on line and the bouncer was super chill and he let me in for free man I WILL NEVER FORGET that. They played the whole album but left one song out , one of my favorites , the one with the piano at the end. so hoooooold ooooon ....
Only 2 times ive seen them he refused to play Cut Ur Ribbon and idky 🤷♂️ 😢
love sparta, but gotta say i'm not a huge fan of this more stripped out sound, it lacks the ambience and texture of the band. This is more like Sleepercar covering Sparta. Also the band seems to have need more time to practice, timing is off and chords are wrong in certain parts.
They played this songs 20 years ago different line up, he does this just cause he can...i get what you are saying , they are def not that kid of band, This is more of a side thang. cheers
That’s not Paul Hinojos on bass, is it?
I believe it's Matt Miller
Matt Miller has been the bassist for most of Sparta's existence and is the one who's played on all the records. Paul played bass in atdi, but switched to guitar for Sparta.
Porcelain was their masterpiece.
