I just picked some of these up this spring. I’ve enjoyed many crappie tacos on my dinner table because of these plastics. They are amazing! Love your take on the ultralight focus. Also appreciate the eurotackle review. One thing I found when the spring bite tapered off this year was the size 04 rapala x-rap. It’s a tiny suspending jerk bait with a feather trailer and it killed on crappies that didn’t want to bite. I caught my limit, but kept fishing for three more hours because I was having so much fun with my ultra light rig.
Big Z-Man fan here...these micro finesse lures are phenomenal. Before the end of the 2022 season, on the water tests had excellent results with micro TRDs, Shad FryZ and the Tiny TicklerZ, all on the Z-Man jig heads. Great for panfishing and agree that they will catch anything. Best wishes, Don
I got some of the Ticklerz and TRD, but when it comes to “micro finesse” I prefer to use and support Ethan’s stuff over at Mule Fishing aka Fish Anything. He just doesn’t have any stick bait style stuff yet.
great content as always.. I'm a pond fisher and I down size lures when things are tough or cold and I caught my PB largie on the Zman bugs.. 6 lbs 2oz on 6 pound test.. keep grinding and gettin after it cousin
Z-Man's smallest chatterbait the Flashback Mini comes with only 2 trailers and I've been looking for a suitable replacement. Hopefully the Shad Fryz will do the trick.
Super helpful. I bought a bunch of these recently and excited to try them out. I spend half my time fishing local creeks so this should be a great setup.
🎣 I think these would be great for trout, crappies, panfish, perch and even rock bass. I have to get me some and try them for trout fishing. Great review and I enjoyed the video
Thanks for reviewing these. We don’t have any real tackle shops in the area, which is kind of strange considering they hold BASS tournaments here. They tend to have the bigger sizes in what they do have and mostly in the darker colors. Are colors a regional thing? I’m in NW Montana and chartreuse is just about the only bright color I can find. I’ve done good with that but I wonder if other bright colors would work too. The water is pretty clear with a light green tinge to it except during spring runoff when it gets muddy. Any colors you would suggest for me?
This is awesome timing I'm wanting to catch some panfish on lures & this came just in time, I can't seem to find a ultra light rod thats over 4.6 long, I'm not wanting to spend a whole lot just yet, I did find a quantum 6.6 long light fast do you think that would for that?
Check out Fish Anything, he has a ton of great ultralight rod reviews. If you’re looking for a fast, the most recommended seem to be “13 Fishing Defy Silver” at about $50 (Burly loves theirs). And I personally love my “Temple Fork Outfitters Trout and Panfish” at about $100.

I feel the same way! I’ve thrown a lot of support towards Ethan’s venture. I can’t wait to try them out!

You can try a piece of a toothpick in the tail of the larvaz to keep it straight. Gives the back end a little buoyancy too.
Thank you again John, inspired and inspiring
I love anything ultralight fishing lures. Looks like great products and durable.. Going to try Ethan out for the Mule lures too
I've asked the local shops about these and they're not in yet. I'm gonna order some online. They looked really good. 👊👍

i'm not sure on the colors, I use different than most people around me so its hard for me to tell others what to use
I need to buy their stuff. Is the plastic more durable than Berkley stuff?
For sure.. I've caught dozens of fish on the same lure.. jus be sure to weight them because they float.. good luck
Cool video, thanks for the info 👍 🎣

Hi John. Check out Mule Fishing micro lures. Great small company with great lures. Ethan is an amazing micro fisherman
He has done videos, recently, with Ethan. Videos are up on both channels.
I’d love to see him collaborate with Mule to make a creature bait!
Took the Micro Ticklerz in bubblegum color to Milwaukee River and caught soooo many Northern 😂
