Thank you so much! Catching those little bluegill, red breast, and long ears is so much fun! Good luck out there! Try the larva z…you will catch fish with them.
Awesome breakdowns of the bait and definitely some good gills, have to give them a go! I'm more of a large/small mouth angler here lately but panfish have always been awesome and fish for them as much as I can.... thanks for sharing!
Whats up Chris. Didnt know you were youtubing. I was told I needed to check you out. Looks like some good fishing. I enjoy catching those big bluegills. I like your rig too. Pretty cool setup. Great video quality too.
Yessir! They go nuts for it. If you really want to see some action… check out some of the videos posted recently by I_Fish. He caught a ton of really nice bluegill on the same rig.
Oh trust me man I watch all Vic's videos thats my boy lol. Fished with him a few times when he lived here in then Midwest. One heck of a fisherman that's forsure. I subbed to your channel bro awesome work keep em coming. Tightlines
Great job on the review and some good fishing. You have the most colorful fish in that little creek. I liked seeing the action of the bait in that water. Interesting how the tail floats. It seems the bass like it too.
Awesome job on the video brother, man I love these baits and like you said I really like the fact that they stretch so much without breaking. I gotta admit when I first ordered mine I was thinking these aren’t going to last long but boy was I wrong. Again great video!
Thank you so much! Yes… the colors on them this time of year are so pretty. You should come out and fish the creek with me sometime. It’s a lot of fun.
Thank you! I think you will like them. Let me know how they work for you and what type of setup you use them with. I’m still experimenting with them, but so far, so good!
Great review of these baits, as well as some awesome fish. You said you didn't know what they were made of, well that real stretchy stuff is called Elaztech. I don't know the property make-up of it, but keep them away from regular plastic baits. If not, both will be ruined for sure...
U should try the shad fryz since your swimming the larvaz. They're my favorite of them all, the tail kicks and creates vibration in the water. Can also fish it on the bottom
Would like to see some more reviews with zman for the panfish! Maybe some micro trd and micro goat! Just placed an order for them can’t wait for the mailbox to get stuffed.
The Z-Man micro lures are great. Check out the channel called The Fishing Nomad. He did several reviews on those baits. Hope you catch a bunch of panfish with them! Thank you for watching!
I have used the 1 gram size, which is close to a 1/32 ounce. To make it fit, try trimming about an 1/8” off the head end of the Trout Magnet so it goes on the shorter shaft of the BG-1. Thanks for watching and good luck out there!👍🐟
I used a combination of 1g, 1/32 oz and 1/64 oz jig heads with the Larva Z. The 1/64 were Trout Magnet jig heads. The 1g were I_Fish BG-1 jig heads sold by UA-camr I_Fish over on his channel. The 1/32 were just plain old unpainted lead jig heads. Hope that helps?
They are very good for panfish and micro plastic lures. Definitely recommend trying some. It’s hard to find a jig head with a size 12 hook that has that much weight to it. You can cast them a mile on 2lb test line.
Finally got to try these out today and I've gotta say that I'm disappointed. These were extremely interesting to me from the first time I saw them as some of my favorite panfish lures look similar to these. Unfortunately I just didn't have much success on them. Of course it was only the first day so maybe it was just a bad day or bad time of day or bad color choice. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully I'll be proven wrong. Looks like you did pretty well with them.
That stinks! The bite was off for me this week, also. Hopefully that’s all it was. Those little lures definitely work. I had a tough time getting anything to bite on my last trip. Even the trout magnets, which usually always work well.
@@pistolcreek Thanks. I've never used any of the Zman soft plastics before, but picked up several different ones recently to try out. I used the Shad FryZ yesterday and did really well with some bigger bluegills and largemouths. I was pleasantly surprised cause I thought it might've been too big for the bluegill, but it wasn't. Still have the TicklerZ and GrubZ to try out, hopefully later this week.
@@TheFishingNomad How did you fish the Shad fry? Like a swim bait? I’m gonna order some of those tonight and try them out. What weight jig head do you recommend for those?
@@pistolcreek I used a 1/32 oz jig head and just casted out and retrieved it steadily. Two times though I had a fish on before I could even begin my retrieve. The fish were sometimes hitting it on the drop as soon as it hit the water.
I like to use a 1/32oz or a 1 gram jig head with this lure. You can either work it through the water column by twitching or swimming it to you… or let it sink and bump it off the bottom Ned-rig style. Both seem to be effective.
These z-man larvas are great for different types of species of fish. also the fish doesn't waste any time on biting them. Here's the two problems with these little z man larvas. 1 is they only give you eight pieces, I think it is. 2 the tails will break off after a while, once you catch too many fish. That's the downside to these
I gotta get me some of those ordered! Thanks for sharing this is the first time I've seen these in action. The colors of the ole gills in the creeks never cease to amaze me I just gotta figure out how to get that insurance billed😂
Chris, great breakdown and review of the Z-Man Micro Finesse Larva-Z! Beautiful colors on all of those fish! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, brother!
Great video! Beautiful bluegills. Gotta get me some larva z. This is my favorite style of fishing 😊
Thank you so much! Catching those little bluegill, red breast, and long ears is so much fun! Good luck out there! Try the larva z…you will catch fish with them.
Thanks for the overview. I’m going to order a few packs and give it a shot. Love that pool you fish. Nice Bass was in there! Thanks Chris 🎣🏆💥
I think you will definitely like them. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I ordered a 8 pack of the green pumpkin. I also ordered the Daiwa reel 2000. 😊💥🎣. Keep you posted.
Shoot yeah! Green pumpkin is always a good color. I think you’ll enjoy the reel. Let me know how it goes. 👍🐟
@@pistolcreek I’ll do a video when I premiere the reel🤩

Excellent review; direct, to the point, and still informative.
Thank you so much! These are great little lures, for sure.
Man that larvaz paired with the BG-1 jighead is unreal. They just cant resist it🤙🏾

That right there looks like an awesome multispecies lure. the kind of thing i like taking to creeks and ponds

Great info on the bait. Looks like it did the trick

@@pistolcreek yep, me too!
Crazy looking lure there, but the fish sure seemed to like it. Great job!
Thank you, Joe!
Sweet vid man. That's a little slayer for sure 👍

I love the drag on that reveros reel i need to get another one.
Yes…they sound so good. Makes using the 2lb line a load of fun.
It works really well! A lot of different panfish species in that creek.
Thank you, Mike!
Your welcome brother!
man, that made it look too easy! worked like a charm.
Haha! Thanks so much!
I just looked on eBay and they got tons of Z-Man stuff. I just ordered 2 colors of these and some hooks for them.
I think you are going to love them! Seems like all the fish go nuts for them. What kind of fish will you be targeting?
Thanks for the tip
You bet!

The black is always a safe bet. Has a natural look to it and has good visibility in any clarity of water.
