- we went to Wilmington in hopes to get on the pompano. i talked to a few other anglers , some of which gave up . we ended up not getting skunked but The original plan was to park near CAMA beach access but it was packed full. so i went to ft. fisher which was also slam packed full of people, all in the water up to the rocks. so we took a hike down the beach towards the ORV side but walked there pretty much with the cart. instead of redfish and pompano we got some pins haha. still was a nice relaxing day and it was like 83 degrees F. couldnt ask for better weather with a constant SW breeze too!
You live near Lake Royale? Saw a sticker on a vehicle and decided to subscribe. Used to love going on to Fort Fisher as a kid and surf fish. Enjoying the vids!
I do actually live out this way. its quite a drive but i love it!

we had taken her corolla that time so going offroad was out of the question but, yeah i just had it in my tackle and we were on the pins all day so i didnt feel like tying up anything else. if we started seeing other species i would tie on more naked rigs
