Hey its SaltEastSimon, Born in South FL, Raised In NC. I love Coastal fishing. I got into it a few years back after bass fishing for years. I had craving to hook into something big. I wanted to find fish in the surf after watching famous youtubers Surf Fish. It became a Obsession on top of bass fishing. On my first trip I was overwhelmed , So much area to cover with little to zero knowledge of surf fishing. My first cast into the ocean and I snapped off my rig and 6oz weight. Not to mention my rod came apart and the top half launched into the ocean in the dead of winter, I jumped in and put it back together, I spent Hrs freezing about to face frost bite for a skunk day. After that Horrible experience (my Bday btw) I was determined to never get skunked again. A few weeks pass and FINALLY and I decide to head back to the surf... and behold A WHITING, My first surf Fish! I was hooked! Then I Became a Fishaholic . The rest.. thats what this whole channel is About! So check it Out!
OBX Fishing Adventure
went to Nags Head NC to do some surf fishing.. its still not quite at its prime time in the fall when the bite really starts to pick up. we visited the soundside and as well as the famous bebop pier towards manns harbor. so i hope you guys enjoy this little short i made even though its not to much catching going on in the video . still an awesome day!

Your right the first clip was A 737NG but the nightflight was a MAX8 your can hear the difference too in the cabin. This was going to CMH in the max . Then otw back 737NG. We hit storms in ATL. Got rebooked at 130am was crazy tiring experience. Didnt make it to bed until 4am got uo at 6. 2hrs and inwas at my gate . Need a private jet 😂

we had used wild caught gulf shrimp and live sandfleas. I liike to use fish gum but the kind i want has been sold out . So i used Ez Flea from fishbites. spotted a super fresh pack at walmart. so i grabbed it

we had taken her corolla that time so going offroad was out of the question but, yeah i just had it in my tackle and we were on the pins all day so i didnt feel like tying up anything else. if we started seeing other species i would tie on more naked rigs

Hello Sir, I am watching your latest videos with delay. I love it, I live far from the sea and it’s complicated. Would you have any tips or tricks to catch fish with your rig. I’m fishing with my son this summer and I want him to catch some fish from the beach. Thank you very much SaltEastSimon.
Shrimp works really good in North Carolina .a lot of the times you don't have to cast for to catch the fish they usually in the suds. look for a nice Riptide to fish where the water flow is going out where the fish will be concentrated . Most people use too big of a piece of shrimp I like to cut mine in quarters or thirds

I had heard the traffic was nuts in Havelock during the air show! All that construction, plus the added vehicles definitely sounds like a recipe for disaster when it comes to traffic! And that was an awesome whiting!!! I need to get to the coast soon to do some more surf fishing!
My 2.5hr drive ended up being 6hrs haha. The surf bite isndefinitely warming up!
@@salteastsimon My family used to have a place at Atlantic Beach when I was growing up, and we always tried to avoid going down during the air show weekends for that exact reason! I wish we still had that place! If we did, I would be there almost every weekend!
