Sounds like a certified Wu Banga.. That trick with kick drum, genius 🤯
How much is this thing. Iam getting into hardware . I just bought my first mpc and it's pretty fun. Beats making beats on computer .
Initially it was $949.00 now the price is &1,500.00
Oxfam record prices jumped at least 50p because of this video!!
😄
Hah, I found that same Ken Dodd album in a skip about 15 years ago, along with a load of K-Tel compilations and other 'bad records' that were very much ripe for sampling!
Tapping the record to make a kick was brilliant
I NEED that on vinyl..I'm buying like 5 of them..My turntables and my Rane mixer started dancing...I am not playing..
Best SP 2400-Video so far FYA man ! ! !
Je regarde ça et je suis content, même s'il pleut le dimanche soir
The kick drum trick was mind-blowing. Thanks for sharing mate 👏🏻
Yes yes, quality beat, stamping your mark on the S2400
Handles sample transposition like an Emax - sounds so familiar...in a good way.
Mannnnnnn this is fire
👍👊
TUBECHOPPAAAA!! you're insane bruh!! that drumnbass one was as ridiculous!!!! the master splinter of choppas!! How is workflow/sound/swing compared to MPCs? Looks way more tactile and sounds soo in your face!! Kinda feel like i need this too....damn ya tube!!
Bro your chopping skillz are outstanding !!!! well done .
Yo bro, I got a s2400 and I can't make it fall into chop mode that easy or clean. What did u do or how did u make it fall on point that easy and tight like that. I know to go into mutil mode but it doesn't fall on point that easy without some work to it. What's ur secret bro, and how did u change the tempo and the sample stay on point. I mean, u sampled it in 1 speed then turn something at the top and the tempo changed to another tempo speed, how bro
You have to trim the sample first to an exact amount of bars. The S2400 doesn’t detect the transients, it simply divides time into 8 equal slices. You can check out my S2400 Production Techniques video course for more info or email me for details of Zoom lessons where I can explain in more detail. See links in video description 👍
I can here Ghostface going crazy 😜
That’s dope as hell when you dropped the melody out. OMG. That joint rocks. Hopefully next week i get mine.
My boy dissected all those albums 😂
Great stuff, that machine looks so inviting.
To be honest, it's a bit weird watching cats use these "lo-fi" techniques (using low samplerate, sampling at high speed, truncating the decay on drums, etc. to save memory) when they have unlimited sample time available. I understand the desire for *that* sound. It's just that... back in the day, we had no choice but to use these techniques as we were using 12-bit samplers with minuscule amounts of RAM. We didn't want our music to sound lo-fi at all. I didn't know ANYONE who didn't wish they could use high samplerates for every sample, or who wasn't dreaming of owning a new 16-bit, 44 kHz sampler with tons of RAM (which cost THOUSANDS of dollars plus you needed to buy an external hardware sequencer or computer + software to do anything with them). We all dreamed of a day when our music could sound clean and "hi-fi." I started out with an Ensoniq EPS Classic, which came with about ½ MB of RAM. A cartridge expanding the RAM to 1 or 2 MB, can't remember which, cost about $300. It took a lot of creativity to squeeze tracks out of that machine but that was part of the joy of it. You kinda had to hack those samplers to get what you wanted out of them
Shout out to somebody on top of the craft .... I truly hope to be there someday
Wu-Tang would murder this
Anyone wanna trade my SP-1200 for one of these?
@@thadirtyabbott33 👀
@@thadirtyabbott33 yeah, I have a s2400 looking to trade for a 1200. Hit me up.
Defiantly has a Wu vibe about it 🔥
just when I thought 8 wasn't enough
Got a big bag of tricks.
The mighty Ken Dodd! He was a huge star here in the UK, not so much for his singing, he was a great comic. Saying that, you should hear him belt out a bit of opera, mind blowing!
nice times
So fire, I want to hear Ghostface on this
Quality!
Filters sound dope
Very wu.......keep banging!!!!
"I Bomb atomically, Socrates philosophies" 🔥🔥🔥
Dope, nice beat !
🙏
You can make a beat out of any genre out of any thing. Thats whats makes it even more fun.
Yep!! Some of my best beats have come from cheesy looking records that cost me £1 😁
Quality production sir! Like a previous said it has a Wu Tang vibe to it and that is a very good thing!
Legit lost Rza break? Excellent sir, excellent.
Guess who's bzak! This break is still killing it.
Dope video man 🔥💣🧨💎⛏🎧👀
That's so dope!! Watching it 3rd time in a row. What stand you using to angle the 2400?
IKEA BRADA, I use them for all my pad samplers 👍
Best S2400 demo I've seen.... Must resist...
