Fascinating! Clearly nothing like the MPC, though from what I can gather, in many ways also not very different, right? And just to overstate, as most here already mentioned, really great sound!
Dig that raw UK early 90s vibe! great samples and record digs ! props excellent SP12/1200 type workflow and sound but with more sampling time and FX ! 🥁🎷🎹🙏
Great track!!! Do you think u could of made this track just on an MPC? I just recieved my S2400 and I didn't hook it up yet, I am very excited. All we need now is a detailed Tuturial. Thank you for ur hard work and dope tracks.
Thanks and you’re welcome 😉 I can make much higher quality and full, detailed tracks on the MPC much more easily than the 2400. This track in my opinion is just a basic sketch and I don’t even particularly like it, but it kind of worked as a little idea. I was filming so it’s easy to edit and share on here. I’m grateful people like it but it doesn’t exactly show off any real skill, it’s basic sampling and sequencing. That all probably sounds a little negative but thes are just ideas and sketches to show what the machine can do and how it sounds. I’m may upload a review video of some description next week. 👊👍
Technique-wise with a 1200 do you basically just find a chop you like and then pitch it down until its tempo synced? Trying to choose between this and the MPC Live II and thus far this looks like much more fun!
@@Bendy2K The s2400 now has the ability to pitch stretch samples, which basically means as long as you have an exact amount of bars for it to use as a reference, it can pitch a sample up or down to match the pattern tempo. The MPC can do this also. I wouldn’t compare the two though as they are very different machines. If You want simplicity, polyphonic limitations and the 12 bit sound then get the 2400, otherwise get an MPC.
Wow, this workflow looks super efficient unless much of what I’m seeing is as much to do with your experience - your channel might set me back a net $4,000 haha If you don’t mind, how would you compare this to both the MPC X and Octatrack? Btw I thoroughly enjoy all of your content. Top notch shit!!
Thanks 🙂 I was talking to a friend last night about just that - it helps to have experience but the machine does have an initial simple workflow. Some things are a bit more tricky, such as editing automation and other things that can be done much easier in an MPC for example. Hopefully that side of it will be updated soon as it can be frustrating to fix something if you mess up and there is no undo. It is similar to the Octatrack in a way but the feature set is much more limited and in no way as refined. But it sounds much better IMO. The X is in another league in terms of functionality. I’ll do a review soon and talk about this stuff more. 👍
🔥🔥
Your vids are partly responsible for me ordering one of these bad boys. Very excited about it arriving.
Great !
Nice Job, Sounds like some old Photek stuff. Love the Reggae Hit as a synth. Dope Stuff!
I like it man !! Nice sample choice, nice flow, nice snare roll used in the drum loop. Inspiring stuff. That S2400 is sounding amazing.
You just made me get off the couch filled with energy... Dope stuff !

Super! Absolutely amazing!
I see you're using those Ikea laptop stands. I got the Ikea Brada one for my mpc one for $10 AUD, works perfectly!
They’re the best, is use them for all my machines 👍
Can you make a S2400 review? Would like to see how you make it fit a Jungle/DnB workflow

Still thinking about doing that review? I would be interested to watch.
Bass line rocks
genius bro. I still haven't figured mine out.
Check out my course, shows you the majority of the important stuff: courses.tubedigga.com/s2400_premium
Wicked stuff
👊🔥👊
Photek for sure.
How dope is this maschine?
It’s pretty dope!
This or an MPC for phrase chopping old jazz records?
Either. MPC is a lot more flexible in general but the s2400 is mostly for the distinct 12bit sound
This is wicked btw

@@TUBEDIGGA really appreciate the replies man - thanks. I think the simplicity of the 2400 is calling to me. Biggups!
