Fantastic - really interesting to see you in action and to hear the beats you make. Especially as you're coming from the original SP-1200 / hip-hop angle.
Now that is a nice way to implement the recgain level! I was very suspicious about that machine (and still am) but I start to like it :) Good Demo video.
I ordered my S2400 right before the pre-order price went up in 2020! It appears from all the reviews and feedback ISLA did an amazing job, can't wait to add mine to the studio.
Same time frame for me- about 3 days before the price increase. When are you expecting actual delivery? I’m still thinking summer like later June but who knows.
i guess you both can expect your unit around may - just guessing - we'll see. Yeah the details are like a rockstar game, somebody chose wisely. Metal knobs, nice sliders, some great additions to the original SP1200 with it's own soul. But tbh there a few more updates to make it perfect. Experienced random crashes. When you try to load a project while the sequencer is running it get corrupted and won't open again. But don't worry, this is normal for a new machine and a small team.
@@station2station544 I know my S2400 is on the boat and I don't want to be the guy bugging the ISLA team about the projected ETA for my unit, they clearly have real work to do. (folks waited over a year so I guess I should assume 6 at least months) Like Waskmusic, I have a few (not as many as him) vintage drum samplers to hold me down until my unit arrives. It's a great time to be an SP 1200 enthusiast without paying insane money, Isla S2400 and the Espi 1200 are game-changers.
@@WASKMUSIC I am an engineer and the build quality looks amazing, the profit margins on the pre-order units have to be pretty small based on the quality of the components and materials used to build the S2400. I also don't expect a flawless bug-free product day one, it will get there over time. I often think about how rock solid the MPC 60 / 3000 and original SP 1200 are from a software perspective.
It seems to be such a simple, enjoyable and comfortable machine to use, I think I will get one, not a fan of having too much machine in my studio but this one will definitely find his way in mine considering the actual price of the SP 1200... Grreat video man ! Peace
Great Job s2400 brethren. Glad someone with the OG did this type of review. Minimal learning curve needed to showcase it. Unlike myself who barely had experience on it MANY years ago. Keep em coming. Peace Netm8kr (#264) 👍🏾✌🏾
Wow that is a ton of samplers in your list. My synth list looks like that but I only have a few samplers. I've played with the SP1200 only once so couldn't say how close they are but I'm digging my unit a lot. Hope you are too.

Can you connect the mpc live direct with the new usb update and use the sound card inside the s2400 not sure if it’s possible as I don’t have an mpc but was thinking adding one
Thanks for taking the time out to do this! :)
Thank you sir for building this awesome machine ❤️
Using the Pads as VU meters for input hotness is crazy.
@Isla Instruments when does this hit the Market?
@@kennethbeavers6903 it is already out. It won‘t hit the stores, only available through their website. Just order one.
Finally a LEGIT demo !
Thank you my friend - i had fun doing it :)
From one S2400 user to another you're gonna love this my friend. I've had it almost a month now and it's insane!
No doubt! Have fun with yours :)
Where to buy it?
@@jingweiliang3846 to be honest: It would take 1 attempt on google to find that out.
On the website of Isla Instruments only.
What other, similar machines have you owned, if you don't mind me asking?
@@BsYtHandle similar? To the S2400? Only SP12 and SP1200.
But similar to the sampler/instrument itself many more.
Still questions?
Bro you should film more videos using the S2400, you absolutely murdered this demo. Hope to see more in the future!
This is a proper demonstration bro! Much appreciated.
S2400 feels great...almost the same WORKFLOW...even better and faster!!! #NxtGn
Peace it sounds amazing ! It almost sounds like the SP1200 glad you made a beat. Planning on getting one this year. Kudos !
You should!

@@WASKMUSIC Cheers. Someone needed to do the technical walkthrough so I've been really honoured to do it.
And you doing great!

That beat is amazing! All it needs is a Nas verse!
Would be great to have Nas on that ;)
this is what im talking about i miss hands on... this is the real Deal
Thank you buddy

Damn you are right!
Luckily for me i do not have to decide which one to use for the rest of my life.
I guess you won‘t regret buying the tank S2400.
One of the better demos! Thanks!
Thanks :)
Nice machine. Sounds good.
Glad you taking us on this learning journey. Keep em coming man

It will arrive some day - read a book while waiting or stuff like that. Then you can enjoy your machine with a fresh mind

Not the same sound as the SP but still a pretty cool sounding piece of gear

please, no more boom bap.. . any 808 slides in there?
Wrong channel for 808s.
You want 808 slides from a drum machine made to be similar to an old drum machine that was used to make boombap?... weird
