So… the little bonus trail up to the Arlington mine site… my wife bailed out of the truck with her purse and Red Bull and hiked all the way back to the bottom . She flipped out on the off camber section and bailed at the little washout. I backed down and did a 57 point turn at the switch back. She didn’t talk to me until Ruby. Fun times. 😂 I’ve always wondered if it didn’t turn into a goat trail to nowhere.
At the time we had a guy from Omak working with us. He’s spent most of his life up on Loop Loop screwing off. I told him about it and he laughed and told me it’s a 4 wheeler trail now. He said he came down it once in an old S-10 when he was in High School out deer hunting and never went back. He thought I was nuts for even trying it in my Tacoma. It’s back on the list of trails for me to hit next summer now.
Thank you. This looks like so much fun. Not only the trail but the friends on the trip. Content and editing is beyond words. Well worth the wait! Fantastic job
The patches are all now spoken for! Again... can't thank you all enough for watching and sending me your messages. This has been a very challenging year personally, so it's greatly appreciated.
Head my man! Keep up the good work and your channel will blowup. Also it’ll only get better from here! These vids are so positive and funny. Folks need to subscribe to keep you motivated to make more content! 👍🏼
Some momentum would definitely help. Don't know if you saw the "layoff" video from a few months ago but this is definitely a time of transition and decision making. If this picks up I can put my entire heart, soul and effort into it... but bills need to be paid.
October is such a beautiful time to travel, but you never know when that surprise snow fall can stop you in your tracks. Adds to the excitement though. I Cant wait for spring and next seasons adventures!
Great video series!! Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thanks for keeping me and many other people entertained with your videos throughout the year
Thanks for watching Eddie! We did a few other adventures earlier in the year that are worth a look... especially this one! We actually met Canada Mike on this previous trip... although he isn't in the video: ua-cam.com/video/vtlJSZvcVtc/v-deo.htmlsi=RF-HgGNh3mhiiUTk
Great stuff. New subscriber here and love the channel. PNW boy living in FL that gets to move back to the PNW next summer! My vote is Idaho BDR. I would love to see this fun crew do that route.
Just curious if Chris is getting interference on his GMRS antenna being so close to his Prinsu roof rack? Seems he’d have awesome rearward transmission but severely hindered forward transmission. Love the new, beefier, Australian style antenna!
No interference reported on this leg, even with one part off camera where we all split up over a decent area the last night to find a campsite. Very impressed so far!
@@aevnate4140 I agree 100%. I used mag mount NMO with the 6dB gain antenna on my Colorado. When I added a Prinsu rack I added a “gutter mount” NMO. Might be hard with @pnwbison RTT. Anyway, great trip, great series! Seen all three parts several times (one episode per trip to the gym).
Terrific series. Some technical explanations with the fun. What specific maps, gps tracking, etc would you recommend? (What is the map you use in the intro’s?). Also, what clearance did you have for your Tacoma? Was it enough for sections 1-4, 5 &6? Regards!
Hey there! So there's a link to the paper map we used on the trip (and that I scanned to use in the video) in the description. For maps and tracking Chris, Mike and I used Gaia on our phones and Nate used a Garmin Overlander GPS. In Gaia you can save/download the entire WABDR route. I've also used onX Offroad. That one is harder (at least in my opinion) to import route information... but people also like it.

Magical story! 🥰
It definitely was a side adventure.

Means a lot man. Thanks for the support. It's been a challenging year. Feels good to have this one done!
Awesome series! Looks like a good crew too. We envy those Mountain View’s!

I enjoyed the details you included for section 5 lots of videos kind of blast past that….
I cant wait unitl I have built up my 4Runner to be able to do trips like this !!
Depending on the time of the year, you could do it in a stock 4Runner. Be sure to invite friends!
"MOVE IT!" 😂😂 Thanks for putting up with me buddy. Fantastic end to an incredible trip.
I get to be sassed by you in real life... then get to listen to you sass me over and over while I edit! 🥺
I honestly don't know how you do it. I'll petition for your sainthood someday.
RIP, me.
@@True-77 it’s sad that you’re super dead. 😢

Yes indeed! Thanks Brad!
Very cool journey. You guys were having WAY to much fun!!
Excelent series gents. Cheers!!

Thanks for watching, commenting and leaving all the encouragement. This year has been extremely challenging and your support means a ton.
Outstanding!
Definitely Idaho BDR!
I've heard good things about that one, would be fun! Wonder how many days it would take?
Awesome way to finish it off! I’ll keep my eye out for more. Love the mix of vehicles. Two Bisons though…sweet! Way to rep Canucks, eh Michael lol!

Great trip guys!
Great series!!Subscribed.
Great videos guys, I will be doing the BDR in June 2024. You guys gave me some great ideas for the trip. Thank you .

@@PNW_Bison awesome!!
I would agree its not the best location for optimal performance, but its a great radio and better than the ghost antennas most people use.

Great details. Thanks. What clearance is your Tacoma? Was it adequate for all sections or just some?
What model/brand of drone do you have? The footage is super clear. We're looking for a new one since ours is showing its age.
Hey there. It’s a Mavic 3.
I actually just sold it to get the Mavic 3 Pro... but any Mavic 3 is great. Best drone I've ever flown.
@@JasonExplainsThings 😎
Very cool planning on heading that way next july!
What clearance did you achieve with your Tacoma? I have a 2010 with a 3inch lift and wonder if it is adequate for Sections, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc
I have just over 10 inches of clearance.
What to do next? Get real brave and cross the 49th. Canada calling, eh?
We’ll see.
Astoria - Goonies beach run
What caused the check engine light?
It never popped up again. 🤷🏻♂️
@@JasonExplainsThings interesting.
You need Nate to give his honest opinion on his jeep one year after.
That’s a great idea.
That was definitely human poop, JASON. 😉
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Probably!
ok so watched every part of this looks like a blast i wonder if it could be done
on street legal mini bikes
Olympic Peninsula?...
That would be a great option. I have been wanting to run that loop and do some camping in that area.
Did some camping out there last April, gorgeous area.
Who is the Canadian hottie? 🇨🇦🍁
I did need the hug. 😂
