Today's video is a classic day in the life but we changed it up a bit as we took Sage to the zoo! I show you how we prep to take her out and what I bring on the road. It was so much fun seeing Sage interacting with all of the animals, and our little ice cream + waffle cone treat was a bonus.

I love how Sage was like “Yo dad just give me the lettuce I got this!” Haha! She didn’t hesitate for one second!
If you make it down to the Palm Beach County area, there's a place called Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. It's free to enter but they ask for a donation. The whole place is a sanctuary/rescue but you get a very similar experience as if you're going to a zoo. Glad you guys had fun!
Your videos are great and lots of helpful tips. I like the variety snack pack in her cup, smart. And buckling her snack to her stroller belt, also smart! Also love the giraffe ornament!
It was so good to see Melbourne again!! I have pictures when I was pregnant with my first in down town Melbourne... Growing up my family used to go their a couple of weeks a year to visit with my Grandparents. Good memories!

Trust me I can relate to toddlers mood swings. 😂 I’m not a mom, but I lived with my little cousin from the time she was 5 mo to a year and half. One minute she would be all giggles and smiles and the next is was like Satan has entered her body. She definitely hated her diaper being changed as well, but she was all smiles when it was over. She’s almost 3 now, and she’s turning into a such a little fun little girl.

What diaper bag do you have?
Also what is the brand of the car seat? I love that it has a sun shade.
Always took snacks for my kids when they where little. Now they are older 9yrs and 13yrs, I do snack bags of few treats and healthy snacks , trick is they either make it last all day or when its gone ,it's gone. I make packlunches too. Extra fruit and veggies too. Definitely do the same for yourself and dad. Oh and as I'm watching the vlog I'm eat healthnut trail mix bar from the cookbook. 😂 😍

Thank you so much for sharing your life! I enjoyed watching as always. Do you let Sage to nap on the go or go back home before her nap/naps each time? I am traveling back to my country with my 14mo son soon but he hasn’t done any on the go nap for a long time and I am so worried if he doesn’t sleep in a stroller :/ usually we rush home to put our son for a nap but wondering what you do.
We’ll let her nap on the go if it aligns with a nap and just try to get a car or stroller nap. If we can arrange it we’ll usually leave the house right after a nap

Pro tip 🙌 put the built bar in the microwave for 15 seconds (or oven) and top with some sugar free cool whip. Like a decadent brownie, fudgy goodness!!

Ya I agree with Matt that zoo’s are depressing, I always have too look into the zoo first to make sure I am not supporting a zoo that partakes in bad practices like so many of them do. I like to support ones that are actually helping the animals be that rehabilitation or sanctuary for those that cannot be rehabilitated or need repopulation.
Yeah I agree. I was actually really impressed with this one. They have a lot of initiatives they are apart of to support animals. I also liked that it was a smaller non for profit zoo so all funds earned go back into the business and animals

I love healthy bars but I would say I bought couple day back and I was suffering with colon pain ,but I read content of protein after eating it was 36g 🙈maybe not for me ,hate being too sensitive for foods which I like
I don’t think I’ve ever had a bar with that much protein in it before. These are around 17g and I don’t have any upset stomach from them. Hope that helps!

Here I am 7 months pregnant and overwhelmed by all the things you had to bring with you for a day out with a toddler, gotta do whatcha gotta do though, I’m sure I’ll be rewatching this video in a year 😂 . You should get a seat protector for under Sage’s car seat! It would keep your leather nicer a bit longer 🙂 and they don’t cost that much 👍

@@HealthNutNutrition ah just make sure you check with your car seat manual. Some don’t allow for anything under the seat. safeintheseat is a good account to follow for that too.

Thank you! Ever since we started bringing snacks everywhere it’s changed how she is when we’re out. It doesn’t mean she’s always eating it’s just toddlers get hungry often and fast so we come prepared. I like to offer healthier options

First kid- “I like to pack 25 things and be prepared and have something for every possible scenario that could happen!” 2+ kids- “I think there’s an extra diaper in the glove box in the car? He just uses the utensils and cups at the restaurant, I stick a napkin in the water glass to clean him up after, and he always has food on his clothes but…meh!” Sigh. I miss the days of feeling somewhat prepared 😣😅

So sick of all these UA-camrs supporting these products that are awful. I ordered these and was so disappointed. The taste is ok; not good like they make it seem, but not terrible. However the texture is strange, its gummy and not appetizing at all.
Try putting them in the fridge it makes a huge difference and tasting the mint brownie, cookies and cream or salted caramel. They all taste different but those ones are my fav. Especially the mint brownie has the best fudge like centre 🤤
Love your videos and healthy recipes! It does feel a little disingenuous for you to promote these bars packed with sugar alcohols and artificial ingredients since you typically always talk about natural whole foods.
Sage is growing too quickly. She’s like “I got this, give me that lettuce 🥬 “ she enjoyed the giraffes 🦒 a lot so the ornament is perfect.
