Love the vlogs! Even though I’m sure they are ExHauStiNg with a toddler. Just know your posts are SO appreciated-they really help me get through my days as a new mom 💕
Its perfectly legitimate to need breaks from your kids. For me, I enjoy having them home with me full time until they turn one/ one and a half and then they start getting into everything and it just makes both me and them agitated- that's the point when I begin sending to daycare/ playgroup. But even that, I find one that's small and has a family feel, and I only send until 1:30. So me and my children still get to spend most of our days together but we both get a healthy break from each other and my children have an organized place to socialize and develop super critical social skills.
I don't know your personal situation Nicole, but getting Sage out for even a few hours daily to be by someone else with other children could be really beneficial for both of you. Feel good 😊
One of my favorite quotes I've seen.
" Everyone says the newborn phase is the hardest... Do not believe them... Toddlers are savages."
I'm with you, toddlers are amazing and so sweet and special but everything is a battle... But, as with all things they will grow out of it... I have a 14 months old, but I also have a 16 year old that is getting her permit and applying for jobs.. The bittersweetness of my oldest growing up has helped me cope with the hard days with my youngest... These moments fly by so fast... But yes, he is a savage none the less lol..
Thank you for being so honest and real. Parenting is so rewarding AND can still be the hardest job ever for some and that's ok! You are amazing.

This is really a good experience traveling with a toddler until you have another one and have to learn their ways. 😁

And then one day you travel with a 5 and an 8 year old and it's super easy. :) (I do remember the first few years though🙈)

I’ve been trying to figure out which was a harder stage for me with my son, the newborn or the toddler, and they are both really hard but the toddler one is probably harder.

I love the travel vlogs! I know you keep saying Sage was going through it and how it could be the toddler stage, but it also could have been all the traveling and being away from home. It’s a lot for a little person to take in. I’m sure she had a great time 😎 and what a great experience to have had. Wishing you all peace and love during this transition in your lives ❤️

The donuts from reading terminal market are amazing!! When I used to work in center city I would sometimes head there at lunch to get some and bring home.

Thanks for uploading this video! It's been so great following your adventures over the last few months. We're gearing up to do more travelling with our baby (more than those quick cottage trips) and was wondering, where does Sage sleep at these airbnbs and hotels? Sorry if you covered it already. We have a pack & play but doesn't seem to be too comfortable for our little one.
Before you even said it I was gonna say it sounds like Sage went through a leap! My daughter is going through the 8 month one right now. Ugh. lol it really does help me feel better to know what she’s going through!

Love your video!💕💕 I’m a mum of a 7 months old. I’ve started BLW feeding. Just want to ask if Sage had any food intolerance? Did you give her new food to try for 3 days? I gave him egg yolk a few days ago. His eczema got serious after😬😬
I'm so glad Matt got to see Washington like you were saying though! I hope you guys had some what fun 😂 I went to Tennessee with my almost 1 year old (he's ONE TOMORROW🥺) and the 5 1/2 trip became like 8-9 hours 🤪 & Dad forgot the DVD player with cocomelon 😂 we stopped and bought one and guess what? It wasn't charged at all & we had no way of charging it. It was a mess, I think I almost lost my mind like 3 times 😂😂😂

I think that was way too long for Sage to be away from home :( Im glad to hear she is doing better! Mom of 5 here and I cannot even imagine traveling that long with a 1 yr old
she had family with her the entire time and was loving it but at the end I think we were all done.
If you need a mental health break for a week from social media I think we'd all understand! I can't imagine trying to road trip with my toddler, good memories I'm sure but rough.

Don’t do Myrtle Beach the next time if you go through South Carolina! It’s gotten awful as far as crime and just trash overall. Instead, be sure to stay in Charleston or Folly Beach, SC!
Our girls are 8 and we still don’t let them eat in the car! The choking hazard is too real, its not worth the risk, they can wait for food. Once someone mentioned to me that our car seats are so clean and I responded with ‘that’s because we don’t let them eat in the car!’ 😂
I’m glad you’re saying this because I feel like I’m the only one who’s nervous about it as I see so many kids eat in their car seat. I have a strict no eating and will always take sages snacks away as I’m buckling her in.

If you travel alot, with a little one...it gets very very tiring. Places are not child proof, once home in your child proof home you will feel better trust me

Children need stability, familiarity and thrive on routine. Maybe she was tired of constantly being packed up and brought from house to house.
