- It was about time that India had a re-look at their education system. NEP 2020, India's new National Education Policy is a revolutionary step that can take steps to make sure it remains relevant in the fast moving digital age. Here we take a look at the top 10 things that will change if the policy if implemented as it is meant to be, as usual, in our own way of storytelling.

There are 3 fatal flaws in this policy from the view of Southern states
1. 3 language policy has been brought back, which indirectly enforces Hindi.
2. Vocational education combined with Board exams at class 5th & 8th is another crude way of pushing pupils from lower & middle income classes to drop out of the school education system as they have Vocational skills now to take care of their livelihood. This increases the inequality and the drive for people in lower classes to settle with their skills in local job market than trying for other higher levels of academic excellence. This will negatively impact GER.
3. Education at an earlier age of 2 years is not really good. Most of the baltic countries (like Sweden & Norway) start schooling at the age of 5 years & above and their curriculum is currently considered as World's best.
Very interesting points Praveen
@@BisboWorldBut really good work team on focusing their key highlights 👏🏼. The major issues with NEP is., it’s like a prospectus. Good and flashy. But how they are going to achieve these goals, what’s the action plan and timeline, and more importantly how they are going to empower and nurture teachers is a big question mark. They are the people who will be ultimately driving this at ground level. With current pandemic leading to double digit fiscal deficit., I can bet that even 4% of GDP spends towards education is far fetched (let alone 6% target)
Looks like dmk upis is here
@Abin Abraham A debate should be constructive with valid counter arguments against the points laid. Seems you guys don’t have. Better luck next time.
India’s Unity lies in her Diversity. 😌
Can't argue with second and third point, but the first one is a rather good step.
I am a north Indian (since you're saying this is a problem specific for south Indians) and I have studied 3 languages in my school, not Sanskrit but Nepali. And I think knowing an extra language doesn't hurt, so it is a good step, provided you don't think from a political aspect, Because if you do then our existence could be up for debate.
Today after engineering ... No one knows what to do next ......🤣🤣🤣
But they surly know after 6th standard..😂😂
That's a good point we require quality teachers for this, instead of business mindset.
.but in our this will definitely become business
Yeah I hope future teachers will try develop entrepreneurship or innovative kind of mind set in students. instead of current generation teacher saying "you'll not get married if you don't get job" 😑 a very stupid reason to make students study!.
@@ri8176 And ppl like me who don't want to marry.😆😁😆
It's because you were not interested in engineering.

There must be a law where Children of politicians and govt. Employees must study in govt schools then the condition will automatically change.
Well... It's these politicians who have to make that law in the first place...

If they are good why won't people join
@i don't know Yeah, you are right
It is an unfair restriction on the child, if they wish to study elsewhere

I studied in a Govt School(6-12th) and it has free Facilities like Computer, Practical lab and Games classes and provides Free Books, Notebooks, Uniforms, Shoes, Schoolbag even Geometry box and Pen-Pencils to all students.
Yearly Medical Checkup for all like Eye or Teeth even for Students Parents and Teachers family members.
And Mid day food for all Students and Teachers. Buses for them to dropp home. And had monthly fee around 100rs for boys and 50for Girls.

Yes
All incompetent teachers should be thrown out
Exactly but then politics, nepotism and bribery will be the biggest hurdles...for example in WB, people are granted for teaching position, ad hoc or permanent only if that person support Mamata Banerjee's TMC...
Here in Manipur, free books and free uniforms(that too in the poorest of the poor quality) is like 1 student receiving in a class of 20.
This FREE schemes are like Siphon business for the MLAs and social workers in Manipur.
Sad to know this
@Pavan Kumar for every "free" book the government gives you, they make double the price of the book.. also, how are books expensive? Ncert books cost 100rs-200rs and most people can afford it..They should gve free transport or free tuition or something more beneficial
@@BisboWorld yes
Same here in Mumbai. Nothing is free mate.
All policies introduced by the government are for our betterment and ease of living, but we receive major set backs when the funds forwarded for implementation of these policies never reach the desired place and is misappropriated by the people responsible, or when these people act lazy in performing their duties. Our country will rise to global standards only when we as citizens develop basic civic sense rather than working for just our own self goals. Understanding our duties towards societies upliftment is really crucial. We always blame government’s for any failure in a system, rather we should always have a broader aspect of viewing things and look at that point where actually we are lacking. #jaihind 🇮🇳#mayindiasucceed 🇮🇳

The system which requires people to be good is bad system.
Best conclusion and thesis explained by BISBO. He is avinacado for reports. Good work BISBO

I don't know when will these new education system come into existence
But who were born from 2000 to 2017 are unlucky because we didn't had such specialized system of education.
Especially 2000 to 2008
It's good that the new policy has respected all forms of jobs, which is a good thing.

Wow Vashitva. Thank you

Being in 10 standard it is scares me if I think about exam, with this pandemic going on we are losing a lot of teaching time. A lesson which should be completed in 2 days is taking 4 to 5 days now. And not going to school and being at home we do not get any motivation to study.
Man, I'm sacred as hell too. I've lost all of my motivation as well. I don't know what is happening, this is sick.
@Heat Ray Might come across as lame, but I don't know man. There's no subject at school that intrigues me at this point. This year has sucked a lot of things. But still, I'm not one to blame others for my self-manufactured misery. I haven't studied in a month. Things are only getting worse. I'm afraid I'm slowly and steadily entering a cynical stage of life.
Don't worry their will be no exams at that point
@@srinivasjonnaggadalla6602 you mean, no board exams? I don't think there will be no board exams, it's a bit far too stretched for me.
@@srinivasjonnaggadalla6602 there is no way the board exams will be cancelled. They may just postpone the exam.

If an extra year guarantees skill and decently paying employment, I don't think any parent or student would mind it.
it would be much better if they can do the same without having to go for an extra year right?
@@tejas3632 well yes. But a carefully planned syllabus can actually be worth it if it brings up employment and skill.
Why guaranteee.. that's the main problem... risk hai to ishq hai.
There is no need of any kind of foreign universities, actually the govt can increase the no.of IIT's,IIIT's,NIT'S,and IIM'S so as to increase the brand value of indian education but the admission to student should not be given by rigorous tests, they should be somewhat easier...
If we are bringing foreign universities to our countries what's the use of IIT'S then.... everyone will go into them only even though the IIT's perform well...
But here's the biiiiiiiiiggggggg question
''KAB AAYEGA BHAI YE NEP2020???''
WE R DYING......😭😭
Iiit are private institutions, and the amount of research and innovation done in foreign universities is 100 times that of iits bcoz of the basic mindset of us...bas acchi salary milna. Not generalising but at least 40 percent of students chill a week or a night study for exams in most of the engineering colleges even top teir ...so they would give a tough competition to Indian universities and hence standards of Indian colleges will be improved
But why not think that foreign universities will provide competition to IITs in research and development. So with that IITs also will do more research and development
@@itsmemilli4758 bro I agree with u but I was just talking about brand value of IIT's and NIT's cz they are indian....
U see india is nit less than any of the foreign universities bro......
Indian govt. Just hv to give them some more resources even IIT's have to increase their infrastructure bro...
PEACE✌️
@@vamsishankar8476 they r providing bro but this is not enough bro... if the foreign universities will cm to set their branches in india it will take some more time to adjust in the indian market bro.... That's it

Autonomy. Let each school decide which teacher to keep and whom to fire. It's the centralisation which is strengthening the bureaucracy. Let the schools have its autonomy.
In West Bengal, most of the government schools function in that manner. In WB, there's a concept called semi-government schools where majority money comes from the government but a certain share is collected from the students' families.
Everything is fine but what about 1:58? Rocket man with Coco Cola tank😂
Lol 😂 you noticed
Nice video bisbo. This is easy to understand and could u say why government schools are not improved in education standards?

Happy to know
Nep 2020 is for increasing percentage of students getting higher education to 50% by 2035.
Tamilnadu: Wtf bro we r already at 49%...lol.
Yeah if we look at hdi Kerala is almost double the national average and is in the higher 2nd tier(india is at higher 3rd tier)while if jarkhand was a country it would be at a level of countries that are in lower africa
NEP will not benefit for South indian states like KERALA, TN ,TELENGANA,AP,KTKA. Dropout will be increased if contact public exam at 5th & 8th std.

Very very good analysis of present day education scenario in INDIA
Thank u for getting right analysis.
It's my pleasure Sriram
One year old kid, which cannot even "pronounce a word" properly can fulfill its needs either by showing it or by expressing it by whatever means possible. At such a young age, It understands its family members, their roles, their language. That same child at the age of 10, who can express itself very well with words fails in school subjects. Definitely all our teachers (irrespective of the type of school they work-in) deserve a bharatha ratna for converting such highly talented kids into paper weights. Everybody is beating around the bush and not addressing the elephant in the room. Even a cat knows the best way to teach its kittens, but our so-called think tank members of NITI Aayog, Bureaucrats in education department and other "experts" do not know a single tangible step about teaching / education, but are very good in writing a useless 4-paged article in any English daily. Much worse, some retd. bureaucrat will write a two volume book titled "India's Education system since the birth of milky way galaxy" with 5000 pages for each volume.
What about reservation in jobs even govt job holders and high income class peoples getting reservation in everg aspects of life for eamcet for graduation level and for jobs for iit .. ..Even alot of sc and st peoples are still backward becuase of this reservation system in india

Totally unbiased information. Kudos for that.
Bisbo although we are ready to embrace the new change do you think that at the ground level i.e schools and colleges will be able to manage teachers for teaching different subjects like entrepreneurship and other skill...?Lack of teachers may lead to schools not offering the subject for student..right..?
Yes how well it will be implemented is the key. There are lots of teacher training modules in nep 2020. It’s important that they work.

The mindset of parents also need to change. Many parents still want their children to be software engineers or doctors or govt employees while the child might be interested in painting, dancing, sports, music, etc...

We really need to change the system
My current favourite channel 🥳
Thank you Kaushik. What does it take to become your permanent favorite channel?
Much awaited video
I think there must be something like Indian Teaching Service (like IAS or IPS) which is needed to become a teacher and teaching line must be more rewarding to improve quality of teachers because teaching is a very unattractive job in India and mostly people who can't do anything else end up becoming school teachers. That is why private coaching institutes run very well. They provide higher salaries and hence attract more qualified people.
Absolutely right Pranav. One of the criticisms of the policy is that not enough is being done to attract quality staff and make it a lucrative career choice.
What will be employment oppertunities in future? We have so many kids to graduate but not many better jobs to get employed!.
Yes that’s one issue they are trying to address through vocational training
You have shown that public school student preform better than private ones.. I have seen many news article and govt reports which is otherwise? What is your source?
I would definitely support the "native language medium" of NEP2020

This was really important
Despite my mom being a govt school teacher, she didn’t put me at her school. Instead she took me to a reputable private school. Do you want to know the reason why? Coz my mom clearly understands that the infrastructure and the quality of education is far better in a private school than in a govt school. N why is it so? Its simply coz govt doesn’t do enough to upgrade its infrastructure and also the govt school teachers r less qualified than a private school teachers, simply coz in a private school, the management hires a well qualified teacher. And I totally agree with her.
