Vinod Rai is responsible for all this ordeal and mess because he overestimated the license money and made it look like a big scam took place. In reality the UPA govt distributed 2G license for low cost so that low cost could bring down the call and internet rates and ultimately benefit the customer. Unfortunately Vinod Rai created an imaginary scam, he arranged numbers in a way to look like a big scam has taken place. Now Modi govt is afraid of similar thing happening to them, hence they won't bring down the cost of 5G spectrum to avoid what happened to the UPA and how they were maligned all over the media. On top of that they have appointed G.C murmu, a confidant of Mr. Modi as the CAG.
In short, what you concluded? Will Vi survive or not? Coz I'm a happy customer of them since 6+ yrs

Vi is currently providing a lot of benefits! As I'm a PCM student, so I've personally benefitted a lot through it's plans. It gives double data i.e. 3GB, 4GB on 1.5GB and 2GB per day packs resp. Weekend Rollover is also given. In some plans, we get 5 GB extra (in total, not per day) benefit. It helped me a lot in watching my online lectures, YT videos on JEE and KVPY and downloading e books (I've 20+GB material rn).
Also, in my area Vi is a lot better than Airtel, Jio.
I wish they can remain atleast till I am done with all my exams.

I recently had many internet connectivity issues with VI since April of this year. It was of very much a problem for me as I had my online classes and stuff. I thought this video was going to be more of that technical side. But the information you provided also let me understand why they can't improve their services and infrastructure. Aint thinking of switching as they are quite good and have great offer packs. Thanks Bisbo as always to deliver news in such a great way👍

I was aware of it from long time ago. Been using vodafone for more then 5 years . Fortunately the speed of vodafone in my area is above 40mbps . I ain't switching anywhere . I want this company to survive and not let a duopoly to form in the telecom Market. A healthy competition is very necessary for a market .
Govt is becoming way too greedy and can't imagine a future where mukesh Ambani is controlling the entire 5g market with whatever prices he wishes too.
Vi is lot better than jio. Jio has slowest internet speed of max 1 mbps. I am getting 4gb/day of Vi and the speed is great.

It's the problem of the people. Instead of solving it between them, all goes to the court to get a favourable judgement
I see people commenting about jio's monopoly, these are the same people who used it when it was free. There was time idea used to charge 1gb data at 98rs for 28 days, this is way before whatsapp became famous. So were the other companies they have looted like dacoits, thanks to jio who literally took advantage of the market. Being an idea customer for almost 10 years never had problem with prices, they kept on updating which was good, only problem which started from past two months was call drop and literally no service in many places. Worst thing was their representative trying to convince me not to port and his call dropped. I knew it was time to move on.
Vikas technology also keep evolving enabling prices to drop. So only telco not at fault for high prices
Kindly see the case in court by Vodafone as well as idea. When jio launched its free offer and afterwards gave data at very low rates neither airtel nor vi were allowed to decrease their tariffs. Both submitted applications to Trai for allowing them to reduce their tariffs heavily to counter the competition by jio. But TRAI never gave them the permission citing the reason that since jio was a new entrant into the market other competing companies cannot be allowed to decrease their prices. They said it will not be fair to the new entrant. Both idea and Vodafone were left helpless.
@@GauriSharmaNEET Understood your point, all i am trying to say is before jio all companies had the capability to provide data at lower cost, but they never did infact kept on deducting balance for weird services ( never happened with me though) why would you wait for Jio to come and spoil market. As market leader with very few players, you should be aware what is the game plan of new entrant who has sacks full of money, look what Tata Sky is now doing, they can foresee what Jio fiber will do to DTH market, they are distributing Fire stick and amazing subscription plan for Binge. In simple words they had good amount of time, to tackle jio rather than crying in court after awards. In words of scam 1992 ' if you can't face the heat get out of the kitchen'
@@viku123rocker yes they should definitely have taken some measures at the very beginning. But the way jio was allowed to distribute free sim and data was not the right way for fair competition. Many foreign companies in India(in the field of mining etc) have completely died because of the rules being changed just to destroy those companies and benefit some officials or the government or some Indian companies. I just don't like the way all this happened. I just wanted fair competition. Fair policies and fair competition for a bright future of India that's all i wanted to see.

I am a big supporter of Jio because I remember there was a time when in Vodafone I had to pay excessive amount of money for 3GB, this change in prices that we are seeing today should be attributed to Jio otherwise it was a struggle to recharge your phone before arrival of jio

Vi has improved a lot after the merger and rebranding imo. The speed are good and the plans are also the best compared to other networks. I use Vi and it is the fastest and the seamless network in my area. Gonna support it so that there isn't monopoly

I'm a user of VI(primary) and jio, I can tell you that currently I'm getting the best network from VI and the 4g speeds are much much better than that of jio.

though vi has a significant loss in market of urban areas still in rural areas due to limited network supply it has constant number of consumers so i think they will barely last by unless jio and airtel has some scandal or other

I remember those days when Vodafone used to charge Rs. 750 for 2GB data and Rs. 450 for 1 GB booster pack + Vat. They are paying for what they wished for.
But i think they earned a lot from that but now they are sayin they don't have money
I must say I am using bill system and they are good in data and connectivity
They can survive if they provide good speed. Vodafone had this unofficial policy of providing fast internet service for the first month for new users and from there onwards reducing it by several times. I have no problem using Vodafone if they fix their internet speed.

4.Good customer care services as of now.
CONS:
1.Poor or no network in rural areas.
2.average network in outer part of cities.
3. Call dropping issues.
4. No wifi calling.

Before Jio there are more than 12 Telecom companies and they charged Rs.300/ GB.Today under Rs.300 customer can recharge for 28 days and get 42 GB with Unlimited calling.An Idea can change your life but Jio changed Idea and Vodafone to Vi..
When market will become duopoly, they'll charge maybe 600rs/GB. What you gonna do then? Competition is necessary. Because of jio, everyone reduced the rates. Some went bankrupt. But now if only jio and airtel remains, they can charge whatever they want and you can't say anything about it

Airtel and jio indoor 4G is bad. ..VI indoor coverage super in flat area Bangalore..VI customer service better than airtel. .

The lower is the band of a spectrum, the higher the penetrative power of waves, further the distance it travels and lower is the cost of deployment. Its excellent for voice but not that great for data. Similarly telco looks for sweetspots in upper band of spectrum to give good data speed with minimal deployment cost. The higher the upper band is the higher is the speed but again this comes at a cost - the higher bands of spectrum dont have range. Also different bands in both lower and upper are affected by foliages, weather conditions, interferences and so many factors affecting stability of a network. A telecom considers these factors, calculates costs of deployment and basis on this focuses for sweet spots in both lower and upper bands. A telecom company with access
to such sweet spots of good spectrum will ultimately become a monopoly in 2-3 years and earn windfall profits using a public resource. The other companies with inferior spectrum simply becomes a victim of time. First come first serve was opaque and no one knew how one got that spectrum and how much money was greased to be the FIRST to get that targeted spectrum. Airtel and Vodafone cry a lot through their planted media articles and voice in media, but they earned windfall profits. Airtel would have still remained ahead if not for its botched up African expansion plan. What Vinod Rai and Supreme court did was a yeoman service in recognizing this game of greasing of money between politician and corporates in the classic age old scam of first come first serve (wherein the allocation is decided on which envelope the minister and the babus decide to open first and no its not a scam because it's a sham policy and good luck in proving that it was really the first come application) and ordered a fair auction of spectrum. To simply put - you want a premium spectrum? then bid for it and pay for it.

It's speed is awesome in Vi now I got 48mbps(not permanent) but ping is not that great.sometimes just randomly I lose connection for 4g I bet this is because of repair,power or any software upgrade of the tower.
