- In this video I respond to comments Allen Parr made on the prosperity gospel. Alisa Childers' dad is Chuck Girard, an artist I've admired for 45 years, so I don't offer a rebuttal to her.

"unbelief will kill you"- so true. Finding your page was so timely for me. I too grew up in a Pentecostal church and experienced the supernatural move of God many times. Then I came across all of the teachers/youtubers you presented and it began to negatively impact my faith in a God that still moves supernaturally today. Thank you for showing us that one can be Pentecostal...Charismatic...believe in healings and tongues and also be theologically sound, balanced and smart. New subscriber here!
Amen to that
So true.... I had the gift of tongues was super excited to serve God then then then... I got around people....
Unbelief is considered wisdom. The enemy is so subtle that few could spot a wolf. Carnal opinions are not discernment.
Unbelief will kill you and religious tradition will indeed get you nowhere! Right on bro Rod!!!
The theologians are full of unbelief
I guess you would know about this huh?
100%
Allan Parr says things that simply are not true
These videos sure help me in being able to defend my faith. You show how you parse appart the extremes of prosperity gospel but retain the wholesomeness of the Word of Faith.
We do what God tells us to do. Really? THEN BELIEVE!!!!
LOL come on man! Good stuff. They need to put their money where their mouth is then. LOL
Because God of the Bible is my provider, i experience prosperity that for this month i earned enough money in 2 days to cover my expenses for 2 months. Plus gave me more time to touch lives with the love of God and the gospel of reconciliation. Heresy hunters spend more time in heresy hunting than touching lives with the love of God and the gospel of reconciliation. A Word from God to them repent and sin no more.
I greatly marvel that some glory in the belief that God's will is to keep his people unhealthy and unprosperous, sick and defeated.
We see in 1Cor 16:2 that God financially prospered the church to point that they had enough for themselves and enough to help others. God's will is that our abundance be a source for those that lack. That's prosperity, that's gospel truth.
Prosper and be in health 3John2 declares. Not a wish for unsound health, unsound faith emanating from unsound doctrine. Great is God's mercy towards us and he has not withheld from us any good thing. For all the promises of God are yes and in Jesus Christ amen.
The old testament is replete with promises of prosperity and healing. Yet we have a new and better covenant established upon better promises Heb 8:6. Shall we come behind in these?
Grace and Peace!
This was excellent. On the subject of “making God” do things or “using God” like a genie--I heard Charles Capps once ask, “why don’t these people ever criticize farmers? A farmer will plant a seed and then have the audacity to expect it to grow and produce after its kind. He uses it to his advantage to prosper.”
The reality is, God created a world that operates according to laws and principles. You’re not “using Him” by learning those principles and putting them to work in your life--at least not in the negative, abusive sense critics often imply.
Yes, you could say that God honors EXPECTATION
David knew it in Ps 5:3
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
The Syro-Pheonician woman knew it too. refusing to take NO for an answer from even Jesus - who honored her tenacity.
Indeed, we are not telling God what to do, we are doing as we are told: I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven Matt. 16:19
Love this! 💛
The farming analogy is excellent. 👍
Plus, what attitude do you think pleases God more? Flip flopping in doubt? Or believing His word to a fault? I know which side I'd rather err on. 💯
I suspect God would rather have to temper reckless faith than remedy stubborn doubt. Actually, He's God so probably both are fine for Him. 🤔
But I personally prefer the former! 😎👍
I don’t want a wild eyed charismatic or a dead unbelieving calvinist 😂 I want someone in the middle!
Don't we have a God of love, forgiveness and acceptance and God of the Bible is the self existing one that will meet our every need. That's why His name is Jehovah Ralpha that is the Lord God our healer; Jehovah Jireh that is the Lord our provider; The Lord our peace, victory, righteousness, shepherd, ever present, strength. If Jesus healed yesterday, He will heal today and He will tomorrow. My Bible says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Teach it Rod
Hi sir, I am one of what you call "antidotelist". I have walked way from Rhema teachings even after attending the school and completing the program. And before you say that I do not have enough faith, Faith is what got me to Rhema in 1997. I have stood on verses for my wife's healing only to yell at God for not fulfilling his command of being fruitful and multi on the earth. This despite being healed myself at the age of 8.
And it was the "Wild-eyed" tongue-talking pentecostal that saved his life from missionary-killing tribes by shocking them when he spoke to them in their own language.
It was not gibberish for sure.
Anyone reading Proverbs would have to admit that God prospers His people through wisdom, hard work, and His favor. To fight against this is plain dumb.
Love love LOVE this, Rod! 💛💯
Yet another video that had me shouting at my screen and cheering! 😂👍
yeh its like Holy Spirit touched me its like the love un wavering love a father has for his son
"But He was pierced because of our transgressions,
crushed because of our iniquities. The chastisement for our shalom was upon Him,
and by His stripes we are healed." TLV
A case of Hebrew parraelism here..where "trangressions" = " iniquities" AND "shalom" = healing..
So to find the meaning of healing here, look up the meaning of shalom...it's much more than peace with God.
I am often taken aback by the fact that we can so readily accept spiritual healing as fully accessible and all encompassing but then push physical healing to the background and make excuses for why it either doesn't happen in our times, doesn't happen this side of heaven, or only happens to reveal God's glory. We've already taken a massive leap of faith in believing the spiritual actually exists and that God through the death of His Son, Jesus, has made spiritual healing available to all.... is it really that much of a stretch to think the same for in my opinion the lesser miracle of physical healing?
"A wild eyed charismatic or Pentecostal", I Love it! Brother Rod, Thank you for this informative and insightful video. And It was great to see Chuck Girard today, I still listen to "The Warrior" on a regular basis. Be Blessed My Brother .
Thank you! I was hoping you would address this. You're videos helps me to define and refine my own beliefs.... something I have struggled with for many years now. Again, thank you for this response. It is very much appreciated.
I've watched quite a few of your videos in the last couple of days, and I'm having a hard time developing a complete understanding of new thought, new age, and metaphysical theology.
Could you do a video on these?
Your videos are great! Thanks again 👍🙂
I'm working on that right now. The videos should be out in the next week or two. Blessings.
@@JewandGreek Longfortruth just posted a an interview of a gentleman who claims to be an ex word of faith evangelist.
His pastor was Hagin's son, he went to Rema(sorry if misspelled) and said that the movement reminded him of when he was into witch craft.
Really hope you get to do a video about his claims.

A helpful and informative video, thank you. Your videos really help me understand where what I believe fits in with the various schools of thought. I do agree though that disappointment can be an issue in Word of Faith churches, it certainly has been in mine and my church haven’t been good at recognising that and addressing it but I think they’re getting better at it and realising it’s needed. I certainly agree with you, that’s not a reason to leave and go to a church with less faith!
I beg to differ. The fact that the Word says , by His stripes we are healed, gives me great hope that , when I need healing I can call on God for it. Good Word Rod.
AMEN. Thank you for this Rod.
I’m so glad UA-cam recommended this today. Needed to hear some of the things you mentioned. Thank you and so many blessings Bro Rod!
Saw this video with Allen and Alisha. It's titled OSAS, which is somewhat dishonest as that's not the subject of the video. Listen to some Allen comments, especially about "moving mountains" you can tell from Alisha's look that she doesn't agree, she just doesn't say anything. Interesting enough she comes from a charismatic background.
If Alisha has some Charismatic beliefs, I think she should be straightforward and bold about it, not letting these Charismatic-unfriendly folks pull her into a "disagreement of silence" and no more.
AMEN
Excellent ... thx
I have listened to Justin Peters on his discernment teaching quite a bit.
His words and body language just seem to be that of a gossip.
I believe Peters has become somewhat of a influence on young Teachers .
What is being taught is a twist on Word of Faith ,and Charismatics.
One of the most effective ways for liars to, smear discord is to have a bit of truth embellished with lies.
There are outsiders of every denomination that really not teaching the true doctrine of the denomination.
Example: does Steven Anderson represent all Baptist?
Well their are nuts who do not represent Word of Faith, that are grouped
with us.
Most Denominations or Movements can correct the out siders ourselves.
Justin Peters needs to talk a bit about the company he keeps.
Or better yet actually preach the Gospel.
That's great 👍
Very good
Well said brother.
👏👏👏👏👏👏 this is true rebuking of those who oppose themselves...
I just discovered you can't get enough God bless you
Love the videos!
Then why does Joel Osteen say everybody knows they are sinners so they don't need to be told when yes they need to be told he doesn't stand on the gospel
Beautiful 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks for your video's. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Awesome analyses! Could you please invite him for a discussion on your platform or his?
It will really be insightful
If you're referring to Allen I've communicated with him and he doesn't seem to want to get back to me.
I don't know how many years its been since I heard that tune We are the righteousness of God because Jesus lives in us but it was in my head yesterday. Funny I came across this video.
Well on Isaiah 53 and healing, Mathew 8.17, I believe the whole context is physical healing when they qoute Isaiah 53.5 so that is as clear as day. Unbelief is bad you are right and it even hindered the Lord healing people as revealed in scripture.
Well said, firm but kind
John MacArthur claims that Charismatics don’t operate philanthropic organizations such as hospitals, orphanages, nursing homes, and such the way Catholics and mainline Protestants do. Can you provide any examples to refute him?
Dr. Michael Brown covered this in his book Authentic Fire. There's a Pentecostal hospital in Calcutta India called Mercy Hospital. Also Oral Roberts University has a medical missions program. Although they don't have a hospital anymore they send medical missionaries all over the planet to offer medical assistance to accompany the preaching of the Gospel in third-world Nations. Also David Wilkerson's organization Teen Challenge is Pentecostal in origin.
Ignorant and totally unfounded claims. Here in Africa, some of the biggest philanthropic organizations are operated by charismatic churches. Their generosity extends to several areas including schools, scholarship programs, hospitals, infrastructure, and humanitarian support. Several charismatic churches in Nigeria contributed millions of dollars to the country's Covid response. And now, their generosity even extends to other continents. Examples are countless, and the biggest givers don't even make noise about it.
Preach it bro Rob.come on
You not able to get your money now?
Why is there always talk about the people that didn't get heald ? Lets talk about the many many people that did PLEASE.
Amen Brother Amen - Healing is part of the work of the atonement accomplished through Jesus Christ through the cross - what is easier to say - your sins are forgiven or take up your bed and walk (for the lame man)
Matthew 8 connects Isaiah 53 to Jesus's physically healing people and casting out demons. I don't know why people fight over this one. It's both. Jesus's passion established both physical and spiritual healing, as per Jesus's own ministry on earth. Is it so difficult for certain people to accept it's both?
That is true, unbelief killed the Israelites in the wilderness.
👏👏👏👏
Please do critiques of more of Mr. Parr’s videos please.
0:47. I always thought that Phil Keaggy was the Paul McCarthy of Christian music of the 70’s
He was the Jimi Hendrix
Thank you for your response Bro Rod
If Jesus is talking about Spiritual Healing then why did Jesus suffer physically 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️. Alan Alan Alan. Why are you so blinded?? 😑
Thank you Rod!! That was a very gentle correction to the flimsy, watered down, dark age gospel arguments cessationist still cling to today!
❤️❤️WRITTEN ON THE WIND!!’ Maranatha!!❤️❤️. ….full Immersion ocean water baptism by the sea..✨✨✨😍🥲✨
Well, I grew up in very charismatic circles where people would fast and pray for days, lay hands on an individual with cancer and they would STILL die. I’ve also seen miracles from laying on hands, but there seems to be an element of arbitrary to who God decides to heal and who he doesn’t. So I’m torn.
I was raised charismatic too and saw so many people declaring, praying fasting and then the person and sometimes children would still die, I saw so many false prophecies. Then I began properly reading my Bible and also have begun to learn church history. Everything has changed and I'm so much happier now.
A big AEMN!
Allen that sounds like dought i rather believe i think it goes hand in hand with salvation attended Assembly of GOD CHURCH where the pastor wife would pray and people got healed yet she had diabetes and going blind herself yet God used her pray for people to get healed but GOD never healed her
i reailize she got the best healing when she went home with the Lord Paul had a thorn in the flesh never GOT healed in the flesh yet healed a lot of people i believe he heals
These people never said that God doesn’t heal… God can do whatever he wants, regardless of us.
I never said that they said God doesn't heal.
Younger Christian’s.. they don’t know any better 😳 how very lofty of Allen.. corr next he’ll be like 😤 these naive new Christian’s coming to god as small children
People who talk about how dangerous word of faith teaching is never acknowledge how dangerous unbelief is? That's patently untrue. I agree with some of the sentiment, but I definitely think it's basically a disagreement on the amount of caution that should be practiced. I grew up Pentecostal, and went to many churches growing up. I've seen so many people have really bad theology because they basically would just call it legalism or religious tradition. I have no problem with Pentecostals as a group, but they're on the other side of the balance. Really strict believers will often dismiss the miraculous, but the other side will often be superstitious. It's extremely common for people to grow up never admitting that they even have a cold because they were told that if they say they have a cold, they'll actually have one. There's blindness on both sides and I think Alisa, Allen, and Mike are all just trying to find a balance. And I SINCERELY hope you're not accusing them of sewing doubt and not believing God still heals, because that would be an absolutely gross misrepresentation.
Allen Parr is very poor with his exegesis.
You will go after the black guy but not the.white woman
Wow, what a way to look at life! Rod explains VERY clearly, that 1) Alisa is not a "witch-hunter," while Allen majors on heretic hunting and accusation; 2) Rod has loved and respected Alisa's father for decades, and therefore is reluctant to criticize her. This has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with race. John MacArthur, Justin Peters, Phil Johnson, Todd Friel, Melissa Dougherty et al, are not (for what it's worth) "black guys." Rod is merely defending WoF and Charismatic believers from the outrageous slander and libel these "discerners" peddle.
