    I like the looks of it, would consider it in a 10mm or 45acp. 9mm 1911s haven't worked out well for me, in my limited experience of 3 diff full size 9mm 1911s all worked about how yours did in the video.

      Yes, they have to run dang near 100% or I will not keep them. I will shoot another 400 rounds through it and see if we are at 100%, if not it goes back to Springfield for a Reliability Job. If not 100% I just can’t keep them and it will be sold. Sounds like you and I are about the same in that regard. Have a Fantastic week, and I will keep you up to date. B9USA Sr. 🤠🇺🇸👮🏻‍♂️👍⭐️⭐️

    Good morning from Mi, I was looking for a 9 mm 1911 made by Springfield, Bul or Magnum Research desert eagle. After searching unsuccessfully for 18 months I came across a 9 mm 1911 made by Alpha Foxtrot in Georgia. I purchased it and the slide moved like it was on ball bearings, the trigger measured 2.8#. Unfortunately it had over a 20% failure to eject rate, it is at the manufacturer for warranty repair now, hopefully they take the time to fix the problem. I noticed beretta jr had all the double feed failures, sr had none in the video, anyways great job gentlemen, God bless.

    Fine sirs, thank you for quality uploads and information. I really enjoy your content.
    A 9mm Emissary showed up at my shop last week, used for $899. It just so happens that I only saw it because I decided I want a 9mm 1911 in my collection. Im torn between a Springfield A1 loaded target 1911 and the Emissary. (Both 9s) The A1 has fully adjustable target sights which is what draws me to it. How accurate can one be with the Emissary sights in your opinion? I’m not talking about quick acquisitions, just slow paced slow target accuracy. Also, and this might be more of a 9mm 1911 thing but did the stoppages resolve themselves or did you have to send it off? I’m nervous about buying someone’s headache. How’s that used price if nine Benjamins btw? Thank you in advance, Brian

      700 rounds is the finish of the “ Break in period.” I would try a Carry Round that it runs 100% on or send it back to Springfield and have them do a Reliability Job on it. The Pistol has to run at almost 100% or it is not a keeper in my opinion. Springfield has excellent Customer Service and will pay shipping both ways to fix it. 🤠🇺🇸👮🏻‍♂️👍. Sr.

    What keeps it from going into battery ?
    My buddys' 9mm Ronin 4.25 1911 does that from time to time.

    • @CZ9mmUSA
      @CZ9mmUSA 2 роки тому +3

      Not enough push from the recoil spring. Fingers slowing down the slide during its full movement after firing the pistol. No oil on the rails or carbon build up on the pistol. Low power ammo that does not push the slide all the way back during firing. Lastly, a burr in the slide or other metal fowling in the slide or pistol frame that prohibits a smooth cycle of the pistol. Anyway it is a simple fix for Springfield Armory or a Knowledgeable 1911 owner. Just all my thoughts off the Top of my head. B9USA Sr. 🤠🇺🇸👏👍

    I picked up one of these in 4.25 length 9mm. Nice gun but had some problems: Failure to seat completly back into battery sometimes. Guide rod was very very rough. Believe spring was draging on it when dirty. Put in drill press and sanded smooth then buffed, problem solved. Also had a lot of trouble with the extractor, never could get it right so bought a bullet proof Wilson, problem solved. I did soften up the edges on the fore-strap. Runs great now, about 1200 rounds through it, it will eat anthing now.
    It won't accept all 9mm mags which makes no sense. Two came with it ok, Wilson ok, Kimber ok. Other Springfield mags a "no go".
    Don't care for the square trigger guard as it won't fit into the "99" 1911 holsters I have. Had to buy a couple new one's.

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  Рік тому +1

      The valor is the better gun as far as construction and finish. The emissary is prone to rust and the valor holds up really well. Stainless or Blued. The Dan Wesson, is a total forged gun, where the Springfield Armory have some MIM parts. The Dan Wesson 1911 is known as a top-tier pistol (1 Step Down From a $3,000 Custom 1911) where the Springfield Armory is a good middle class 1911. I have seen the Rust damage on a Springfield Emissary after it was put away wet form a rain, forgot about it for 30 days and the amount of Damage was horrible. It would have cost at a minimum of $400 to sand it and refinish the pistol. I know this is a bunch more information then you asked for, but I wanted to give you the Reasons Why I like the Dan Wesson over the Emissary by Springfield. My Emissary is in an controlled environment as a bedside pistol with a light on it. 🤠😎👍🇺🇸

    As the owner of both the 4.25” .45 and 5” in 9mm Emissary’s, I have to say i am overly impressed with this new offering from Springfield. While my .45 has run flawlessly through around 500 rounds so far, I too have had a dozen or more feeding issues, as well as several stovepipes, with my 9mm, but so far I am chalking it up to the breaking in period. Something about this 5” 9mm is so so special when shooting, that it has honestly been with me to the range every trip since I’ve purchased it. I find myself shooting it more than any of my other typical range pistols, and I have to literally stop myself after 10 or 12 mags, to leave enough ammo for the other 9mms i am shooting that day. For a production gun, the slide is so smooth, and the lack of recoil, is so damn sweet when shooting. My nightstand gun is generally a wilson combat in 9mm, and I have been thinking for weeks of replacing it with this one! I truly believe, once I truly trust its reliability, this just may become my go to, for home defense, and know that my next Springfield purchase will be the 5” .45 emissary. Great unique pistols, that are literally a joy to shoot!

    Would you take the emissary over a Wesson Valkyrie??

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  2 роки тому

      No, If they are close in price…. The DW 1911 gets the win, however if the Springfield saves half the buyers out there about $500…. Then the Springfield Emissary becomes the buy for 60% of all the pistol buyers out there. Hope that makes sense to you.
      I still own Springfield Armory 1911s, (Operator, Emissary, and Ronin.) I still own 3 Dan Wessons, TCP, ECP, and a Full-size Heritage. I sold my other 5 Dan Wesson 1911s to buy several Les Baer 1911 Pistols just to be completely honest. 🤠👍🇺🇸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  2 роки тому +2

      @@jamestufo9515 OK I See. Well you are in the drivers seat here. Is the CCO in almost “New condition”, then that would be a good deal if you are interested in picking up a DW in CCO Size. Is the DW something you will CCW… that is what the CCO is all about. (I have a light on my Springfield Emissary as a Home Defense 1911…. I even Carry it as a EDC trading off with my Springfield Armory Garrison 1911 every other week). If not and you love your Emissary, I would just keep your Springfield Emissary. As you know the Springfield Emissary is a very nice 1911 and if you do not like the CCO after shooting it or whatever, it may be difficult to trade it for a New Emissary straight across at a dealer. These are all the things that I would consider. Good Luck….. in the end you will make the best call for you and your circumstances. I will say one last thing, the Full-size Springfield Emissary will shoot better then the smaller CCO 1911…. That is just a fact, the full-size Emissary with its excellent sights is a Great Shooter! The CCO’s are a trade off for smaller size, lighter 1911 and more recoil and not typically an enjoyable Range 1911.

I own 12 other Glock Pistols with my Glock 21s and my 19X pistols being my favorite. I Enjoy my 20 1911 Pistols most of all, out of 100 handguns in the Collection. They are all sooooo much fun to me, where my Glocks are my favorite 12 Glocks, they get the job done. If interested I have two Glock 21s and two Glock 19Xs, I also have two Glock 17‘s, three Glock 19‘s. Along with 2 Glock 43‘s, one Glock 22, one Glock 23 and one Glock 20 for now.
