I'm hoping that Springfield Armory will make a double stack 1911 as well. It's a shame Staccato temporarily stop production of the "R" I have both in 9mm and 45acp.
Even though I'm 49, I just shot a 1911 just a few months ago. Heck, I only first shot a gun 3 years ago. Definitely looking to find out more about them and purchasing a few...including the "old man" 45ACP and not just 9mm.
Not shame on you, but welcome! We need all the people we can get to support the 2A community! And the 1911 is an awesome pistol. I have plenty of 9mms like my P10C, FN 509C tactical, and my Sig P320 AXG Scorpion 🦂 but it’s nothing like shooting my TRP Operator in .45
That’s a great looking tri-top slide! Now off to vulcanwerks for some porting! Would love to see how that could change the dynamics of the felt recoil.
@@RogerBarrera I haven't shot the Emissary yet. However, it's just about the same weight as a TRP Operator which I have and can't imagine porting my TRP as it's perfect. Can't wait to get the Emissary now.
Awesome vid man! I like the “average joe” type pistol reviews. I agree about the springfield 2011 market entry. Great stuff man, really enjoy watching.
I to wish manufacturers would add a red dot plate to 1911 in 45. I use to shoot single stack 1911s all the time until I switched to red dots. I don’t want to step up to a $5000 gun from nighthawk for that option.
The only RDS ready single stack 1911 are made by Kimber and Dan Wesson. I wouldn't want to play lemon gun roulette with Kimber, and I'm to poor for a Dan Wesson. To bad Springfield doesn't make one in the 1k range
Ditto on the 2011 offering - the market is ripe for a quality sub-1500 double stack, most seem over priced especially after shipping/tax. 🤢 BUL Armory has finish problems according 1911 syndicate but Springfield could for sure do it. The TRP was my 1st pistolo. Ready to branch out 👍🏼
@@RogerBarrera Haha also, I’d recommend Springfield just put front checkering on their Ronin with either a rail and or ambi safety, and it would automatically be the best sub-$1000 1911 on the market 👍🏼
A properly built, and tuned 9mm 1911 does not need a ramped barrel. That is a shortcut to alleviate proper mag catch height, and barrel link lock-up. It is a bandaid to make up for sloppy build specs.
I’m hoping this is just the beginning. Kind of like how Nighthawk does it. Baseline is single stack 45 but you pick and choose your options to build it into a 9mm 2011 with optic. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼
Roger what is a cheap decent holster for the XC with a tlr-9 on it? of course I got the light after I ordered the descret from u hopefully getting that soon March 25th order
You mean May 25th? If March, should've already shipped. I don't know if cheap and decent go together in regards to holsters. We make one obviously but lowest price is going to be $105 on that with our lead time. Not sure who else is really doing anything with the TLR9 right now other than us.
@@RogerBarrera dam auto correct It’s may 25th. Ok just figured I’d ask just in case my holster works with the cheely frame grip I got wit no light then I could leave the light on XC

I would also love to see Springfield Armory bring out a double stack 2011 in both 9mm and 45!
That would be awesome a 2011 that's not 3grand 👀
2011s are a great option. Really wish they stop just making an updated 1911.
+1 on making a double stack 9mm, say 19-20 round mags. I'll need a 40/10mm version too!
A 4.25" 9mm double stack that looks just like this 🤤
well.... do i have news for all of you.. lol

@@buddymorgan4165 I agree
If Springfield would come out with a 2011 in 10mm that would be pretty much perfections for me. 😊
I still need to shoot a 10mm, haven’t had the chance yet.

The TRP is my duty pistol. Love it.......
How would you compare it to the Dan Wesson valor 45 or a les baer vi 45. I have both looking for another 1911
I heard with 1911s and custom ones especially you should not drop the slide on an empty chamber. Is this true?
What holster are you using? I'm having a hard time finding a holster due to the squared trigger guard.
We make them on our website qvotactical.com this one is the OWB secondary model.
Good gun, however I will stick with my staccato C, C2, and P.
Love your holsters too.
Thanks man! I hope they make some 2011s after this gun to compete on the market.
Roger,
Is this thing a series 70 or 80?
And I guess u have to get a 2011 holster cuz o the trigger guard??
If you use leather (as the gods intended for a 1911), it makes no difference.
What type of clip are you using? An how much more did it give you?
I only got 1 8 round magasin, is that normal?
It needs a Fully Ramped Barrel for Hollow points and it does not need a Plastic Trigger Shoe and a Mechanical Barrel Linkage.
