Just won the all black Emissary 45 with 5 inch barrel. I put 200 rounds of ball ammo and 40 rounds of Sierra HP through it because they were cheaper than most SD rounds. I had a few FTF, which is from the all black mags that came with it. I purchased two extra mags from Springfield that are the same brand. They are a shiny stainless steel and didn't fail 🤷🏻♂️. Both are Mec-Gar. It's a tack driver with that bull barrel. The grip is great. The sights honestly aren't bad, but that rear sight will take time to get used to for me. It needs at least another 250/300 rounds through it before I would consider carrying it. It's a very stiff slide out of the box and the slide release was near impossible to use with one hand.
Dang I want that black one bad but have 2 others so I can’t justify it right now lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already

The first thing I do will All my 1911's is load a magazine with a few empties and pull and release slide ,if it won't feed, I don't send it away to make it I sell . I purchased this pistol and threw out 50 rounds. It is a great pistol, I might be a bit biased since I cut my teeth on military-grade 1911s in Marine Corps from WWII. This is a solid pistol; the grenade pattern of the grip keeps the pistol securely in your hand. The sights are awesome, which are way better than the dovetail notch and front blade sight. Trigger pull is outstanding and was a little less than 5 lbs. I agree that field stripping this pistol is a pain in the butt, and you need some strength to get that allen wrench in to keep the spring compressed. I was used to carrying a Sig Sauer 9mm as my CCW, but now I will switch to the 1911 Emissary. Yes, you will need a heavy-duty holster for this pistol.

Probably just a nitpick but first rule of safety is to treat a gun as always loaded you shouldn’t place your hand in front of the muzzle. Otherwise a great review and show.
I absolutely hate front serrations on a firearm. I see these folks, (idiots), that for some reason think it's cool to have to press check their weapons, I guess cuz they see it on TV. If you don't know the condition of your firearm before you holster it,... I don't want to be anywhere around you.

i cant stand front serrations either, i have a bul armory sas 2 ultralight thats a great firearm that has 2 draw backs for me, one, the grip frame is slippery compared my others and 2 the front slide serrations are so aggressive that during drills i shred my holsters and it catches cloth easily. Yeah I figured everyone would get the 5” because of the rail but I wanted something more carryable. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
@@GSquaredTactical Yeah that rail is a big reason I want the 5 inch version. I also like the sights on this gun! I already have a traditional style 1911 and some compact pistols for concealed carry but I want to open carry this Emissary!
Great review. I just purchased one and excited to get it to the range. Do you carry this firearm? It's one of my heaviest 1911s.
I do not carry it. I usually carry it in the console of the truck during the day
Just ordered one today, just not a fan of the polymer trigger.
That’s the first thing I said. I even looked about changing it but couldn’t find one. However after shooting it it don’t care anymore. The gun is an absolute dream to shoot. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
@@GSquaredTactical Check with 8- 10 Performance , he may have a trigger.
Ok will do thanks
That’s one good looking pistol. I want the commander size
Yeah I will likely own all 3 lol. Thanks for watching
Probably just a nitpick but first rule of safety is to treat a gun as always loaded you shouldn’t place your hand in front of the muzzle. Otherwise a great review and show.
Thank you for watching
Seriously
Thank you for watching
Difficult to clean ? Maybe one handed.

@@GSquaredTactical yes sir..
I absolutely hate front serrations on a firearm. I see these folks, (idiots), that for some reason think it's cool to have to press check their weapons, I guess cuz they see it on TV. If you don't know the condition of your firearm before you holster it,... I don't want to be anywhere around you.
Man I (Gene) completely agree I never have understood it. I guess it’s a age thing. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
🤣 chill Rambo, most people have a habit of doing that; it’s like when u know you locked your house’s doors, but you still go check before going to bed.
Yeah Pedro that to makes sense
I (Trey) don’t really see the disdain towards them. I mean I see both sides but I take a stance of what does it hurt? I mean yeah it may not help some people, they may never use them. Please subscribe and check us out on Rumble if you haven’t already

i cant stand front serrations either, i have a bul armory sas 2 ultralight thats a great firearm that has 2 draw backs for me, one, the grip frame is slippery compared my others and 2 the front slide serrations are so aggressive that during drills i shred my holsters and it catches cloth easily. I bought this emissary and for a production 1911 it is an outstanding shooter, it is a deadly accurate pistol even shoots group for group with the big buck pistols.
Hard to clean and to break down???????!! Could be if you only have one arm
How do you know it’s tough for a one armer?
All u gotta do is put a paper clip on the guide rod, that’s it!
