@@Techable-com I erased my disk and couldn’t connect to internet to recover or reinstall. I try to do it every time I get error code 2006f when I try to recover and use internet connection sift at McDonald’s
I tried to reset my MacBook Pro back to factory as I was planning on giving it to my granddaughter but in the middle of doing so it basically loaded about 3/4 of one of the loading bars and then it shut down I waited for 10 or 15 minutes and it did never come back on or start again so I’ve tried multiple things asking people that own a MacBook Pro and watching UA-cam and talking to people and pretty much everybody was telling me I need a new hard drive because it wouldn’t let you do anything with this one until I seen this video and I was like what the heck i’ll go ahead and try it, I could not believe how simple it was and it fixed the problem so I just wanted to say thanks you are awesome but a lot of these videos don’t do anything and might even make it worse but I highly recommend this guy because he definitely knows what he’s talking about now my MacBook is up and running faster than ever thumbs up A+++ and thank you so much for Sharing your knowledge :-)

I was just saying the exact same thing mine has been broke down couldn’t do anything with it tried all the UA-cam videos but last night I happened to see this video and I had my computer up and running and updated with new software within the hour it seems like it is faster than it was and works perfect but most of them UA-cam videos didn’t help this one he needs to charge for his service after seeing his reviews I would’ve gladly paid a fee But he does it for free but he is the real deal and what he says actually works :-)

My brother you save my life as I was becoming stressed as I thought I tried everything until I stumbled up on your video. Combo keys Command+Option+R did it for my MacBook air. I have been using command + R and kept getting the same error even when I used an external HD. 2 days of continuous stress is over all courtesy of Doctor Techable.

I cannot find anything about what to do when resetting the time and date in terminal doesn’t help with the ‘recovery server could not be contacted’ message while to to reinstall a OS on my iMac. And yes, there is an internet connection.
None of these worked for me. I didn't see any startup disk or disk utility at all. Only the internet recovery option was visible. Clearly my Mac was unable to detect the hard drive at all. Turns out, the issue was with the transfer cable of the hard disk, not with the hard disk itself. Phew. Got a replacement HDD transfer cable off Amazon for 20dollars and it worked. No data loss and back to normal usage!
My Mac is saying I need 10gb of free space to reinstall but I have 50gb free, I am confused, and it is only giving me option to erase old disk. I’m freaking out because I’m specifically trying to save old photos and videos of my wife and kids. Trying desperately to figure out what to Do next. For me this didn’t work. I had to create a partition, partition 1, then journal it and then where it says options click guide then hit the button at bottom right. (I forgot) back out to the screen where it allows you to add software and it should be good from there
I tried this… but it did not work. It keeps failing on preparing at the very end. I am connected via Wi-Fi, but we do have good Wi-Fi.. It does not give any reason to why it fails..

No, you will not lose any data if you don’t use disk utility

It’s not working for me. Says “can’t download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X”
Easier said then done. The installer can’t find my startup disk. I erase my max through find my app and now I can’t get OS X to install.

I can’t do first aid or any option. Everything is grayed out. I went to install OS via utility, but doesn’t even show a drive.

So I bought an older Mac. Running OS X 10.10 Upon trying to update, while trying to signing into my Apple ID I get “ server gave an error during download: 403 forbidden” and does allow me to sign in. Please help!!! 😢😢
Had a problem with my macbook, I entered my correct password but it appeared to be incorrect. Started with a Command R and am here installing macOS ventura. Hope I am on the right path????
