    My MacBook Pro won’t fully boot up. It just turns off. I’ve tried recovery, reset, SMC… Nothing is working. Any advice on what to do?

    After turning on my Mac and holding down Option+R, it would shows the Apple logo and status bar, then shut down after about half a minute. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to enter recovery mode. Any idea? Thanks for this video.

    A great video and clearly explained, thanks. But, there is one but, you explained how to boot into Recovery when the key combination fails. But than you. advise to do a repair or reinstall from the Recovery mode which you reached by holding down Cmd and R-key. But this was what it is all about, I can't boot into local recovery. A reinstallation did not help. Cmd + R gives a black screen all other key combinations bring me to Internet Recovery. What I am after is why did it stop booting into local Recovery and how to repair that.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! It sounds like your local recovery partition might be corrupted or missing, which prevents you from booting into it with Cmd + R. If you tried all the steps in the video I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! You can use the the Apple Menu and select Sleep, pressing Command (⌘) + Option + Media Eject (⏏) or Control + Command (⌘) + Q to lock the screen, or setting up a Hot Corner in System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Hot Corners to "Put Display to Sleep." For shutting down or restarting, you can use the Apple Menu, press Control + Command (⌘) + Power to restart, or hold the Power button to force shutdown.

    I'm getting some kind of kernel panic message when Internet Recovery starts. I can't read it bc the screen rez is too big when I enter Internet Recovery mode. 2014 Mac Mini / Catalina

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  Місяць тому

      Hi there, thank you for your question! A kernel panic during Internet Recovery on your 2014 Mac Mini suggests potential hardware or software issues. Start by disconnecting all peripherals except the essentials, then reset the NVRAM/PRAM (Command + Option + P + R) and SMC (unplug the power for 15 seconds). Boot into Safe Mode (Shift during startup) to check for updates or driver issues, or run Apple Diagnostics (D at startup) to identify hardware problems. If possible, use Target Disk Mode to connect the Mini to another Mac for troubleshooting, or create a bootable macOS Catalina USB installer on another device to reinstall macOS (Option during startup). If issues persist, test the RAM with Memtest86 or inspect internal components for damage. For persistent problems, consult a technician.

    I have a 2018 Mac Mini i5. I dont have a mac keyboard, just a windows one. Mac was running fine. I chose to do the upgrade to Sonoma. Now all the machine does is show the LED on the front. Nothing else. No fans, no video, no chime. I tried your suggestion of reset SMC, but when I switch it back on, nothing happens, jst the LED comes on. I would be very grateful if you could help. It is as if it is in a permanent stand-by mode, but thats not possible as I have had the power cable disconnected for over 5 minutes at times.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! Disconnect all peripherals from your Mac Mini, including the keyboard and mouse. Unplug the power cord from your Mac Mini and wait for at least 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and press the power button to turn on your Mac Mini. If your Mac Mini still doesn’t boot up, try resetting the NVRAM by holding down the Command + Option + P + R keys immediately after pressing the power button. Hold down the keys until you hear the startup chime twice. If resetting the NVRAM doesn’t work, try booting your Mac Mini in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key immediately after pressing the power button. Keep holding down the key until you see the Apple logo on the screen. If your Mac Mini boots up in Safe Mode, try running the First Aid tool in Disk Utility to check for any disk errors. If any errors are found, try repairing them. If none of the above steps work, you may need to take your Mac Mini to an authorized Apple service provider for further assistance.

      @@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware Many thanks for the reply. It is now sorted, but a totally strange one. The issue turned out to be the monitor. It is an NEC that runs 1600 x 900. This worked perfectly well with Monterey. But Sonoma wont work with it. Tried an Iiyama 32" monitor at 2560 x 1440 and it works fine. Even if I force the resolution to 1600 x 900 and reconnect my original monitor, it wont come on. But I've got a spare Dell 24" monitor that I will use instead. Thanks again.

Resetting NVRAM might help you can also try to review your Opencore configuration files (especially config.plist) to ensure there are no conflicting settings related to recovery mode and make sure you’re not overriding the default recovery behavior.

      You`ll need a pen drive with the installer of macOS. Plug it in your MacBook.
      With your MacBook turned off, press command+esc+power. Then you wait for the screen that tells to open sonoma. Now you click space and then click in the shell option. Now write “exit”. Then click to install sonoma. Now it Will boot the recovery local mode,

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  2 місяці тому

      Hi there, thank you for your question! If reinstalling macOS didn’t resolve the battery percentage issue, it might be due to a software glitch or hardware problem. Try resetting the SMC by shutting down your Mac, pressing and holding Shift + Control + Option + the power button for 10 seconds, then turning it on. You can also reset NVRAM by holding Option + Command + P + R for 20 seconds during startup. Check the battery health in System Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and if it indicates “Service Battery,” it may need replacing. For the double progress bar on boot, boot in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key during startup, or run Disk Utility by booting into macOS Recovery (hold Command + R at startup), selecting your startup disk, and running First Aid.

After that, the Utilities menu. There is no backup so forget that. I’ve done the erase the disk thing. Then I try Reinstall macOS. Hit continue for macOS Sierra. Message appears saying “To download and restore macOS the eligibility will be verified etc”. Then nothing. Nothing changes on screen at all. When I click the wifi in the top right, all I get is Turn Wi-Fi On. Ethernet is also plugged in but I have no idea if it knows it’s connected. But again nothing happens. • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  4 місяці тому

      Hi there, thank you for your question! If your Mac shows only a white screen during startup, it may indicate issues with the system startup process, potentially due to hardware problems or corrupted system files. Start by force restarting your Mac and, if the issue persists, try resetting the NVRAM/PRAM and SMC, which can often resolve startup issues. Booting into Safe Mode might help identify software-related problems, while using Disk Utility in Recovery Mode can repair disk errors. If necessary, you can reinstall macOS from Recovery Mode, which usually doesn’t delete your files. For accessing files, consider using Target Disk Mode with another Mac. If none of these steps work, it may be a hardware issue, and seeking professional help from an Apple Store.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! First ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable by switching networks or using Ethernet. Restart your Mac and retry Internet Recovery using Command + Option + R, or try Command + R for regular Recovery Mode. If that fails, reset the NVRAM/PRAM by holding Command + Option + P + R on startup, or attempt Safe Mode by holding Shift. Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend making sure your internet connection is stable, trying a different network if necessary. Check Apple's system status to confirm their servers are operational. Resetting the NVRAM/PRAM (holding Option + Command + P + R during startup) can help resolve issues, as can changing DNS settings to Google's public DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) under Network Preferences. If reinstalling macOS, use Internet Recovery (Command + Option + R) to bypass local recovery images and download the latest version directly from Apple's servers. Ensure your disk is properly formatted as APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) in Disk Utility, and temporarily disable any VPNs or firewall software that may interfere with the download.

Next, reset the NVRAM/PRAM by turning off the Mac, then turning it on and immediately holding down Option + Command + P + R for about 20 seconds before releasing the keys. You can also try booting into Safe Mode by shutting down the Mac, turning it on while holding the Shift key, and releasing it when the login window appears. Disconnect any external devices and attempt to restart the Mac. If standard recovery isn't working, try Internet Recovery by shutting down the Mac, turning it on, and immediately holding Option + Command + R until you see a spinning globe. If these steps don't resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem, and you should consider taking it to an Apple Store for further assistance.

    Not helpful at all, not a complete guide through. After showing what to do you don’t show what happens.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend taking it to a professional then as its most likely a hardware related issue.

    I will never buy an Apple product again . Overpriced garbage is what Apple products are . These guys have no idea what they are doing except for beveling and Cutesy Packaging. No wonder they have such a low Market share . I thought Microsoft was bad but this Apple garbage takes the cake .

    Ok y'all, I've found two solutions. If the second solution doesn't work, see solution #1. Solution #1: Buy a MacBook Air M3. Solution #2: Hold Cmd+T, once you see the thunderbolt icon floating around on the screen, reboot. Happy World Emoji Day, July 17 everybody.

      2014 Mac Mini/Catalina. When I power on the Mac Mini and hold Cmd+T, I never see the Thunderbolt icon, just the normal Apple start up progress screen and then the password prompt as usual. Any ideas?

    Don’t do anything he said in this video. Just turn on your Mac, hold cmd+t, when you see nothing but the thunder bolt icon floating, reboot your Mac.

      What does that do? I'm having freezing issues every few days and have to hold the power button down for 7-8 seconds, and then restart, only to have to do it again a few days later

    Three of his methods to fix a mac that won't go into recovery mode begin with putting your mac into recovery mode.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

      Hi there, thank you for your question! Try creating a bootable macOS installer using another Mac, downloading macOS from the App Store, and using a USB drive to reinstall macOS by holding Option during startup. Reset the NVRAM/PRAM by restarting and holding Option + Command + P + R for 20 seconds to clear settings that might block Recovery Mode. You can also try Safe Mode by holding Shift during startup to repair the disk.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps in the video I would recommend shutting down your mac then turn it back on and hold down the following keys "Option + Command + P + R." Then hold them till you hear the startup chime twice and then release the keys and let your MAC reboot.
