So... you could buy these footboards, and attach them to the magnetic pedals by Drumnetix that you demonstrated earlier on. And then you'd have super light and smooth pedals.
I'm guessing it only works with axis pedals

Update on how long it takes to get delivered? And the function of this pedal after couple use. Looking at the Derek Roddy double pedal.
Still waiting. It's been about 2 months since I ordered them and I remember seeing that it could take up to 2 months for them to ship out so hopefully any day now.

I have been loving the Axis Long Boards ever since I bought my first set back in 2009. After watching this review I am definitely going to be saving up my money for the carbon fiber set. Axis is hands down the best drum pedal makers on the planet.

They look nice. I just picked up some Trick Dominator pedals and they are Great. Axis was the other choice but the price is what was the final choice for me. So in the end SEX
Aren't trick pedals more expensive?
@@Kyle-gl9ej Axis double pedals are about a 1000.00 and up but the Trick Dominators go for 650.00
@@FLYER388 weird all the axis pedals I've seen sell for about 480 dollars for a brand new single pedal and the trick dominator is about 650.
@@Kyle-gl9ej the Trick ones I got are a double pedal / or can be changed into two single pedals if I ever just want to have two bass drums I can separate them. So 650 for the double pedal from Trick compared to Axis are way more for the double pedals.
I've been playing the Dominators since 2019- it was my first direct drive big boy and has been a huge game changer. I've only messed around w friends Axis peds

trick released the big foot low mass a while ago and has the dial for adjusting the spring tension. I've had dominators for about 10 years now and they are still awesome

awesome concept. i do like the feel of pushing down on the pedal, it helps keep time.
Having said that i have used axis pedals a small handful of times in my life. What i do does not require me to use these pedals
But these pedals could be great for people wanting to reach those 240+ tempos. I would love to see what would happen with aluminium boards but carbon fibre beaters.

I still have my first AXIS pedals from when the company first started many moons ago and I won't play any other pedal in the world ! Now I'm going to have to upgrade to the carbon fiber footboards !

Those look incredible. I'd definitely own those, if I still played drums. If they're considering making new/other parts in carbon, it would be cool if they sold them as add-ons/upgrades if you've already purchased the carbon longboards. It's been a long time since I've played, I can't remember what's replaceable or all one piece but here's to hoping.

I am a big fan of Axis. I hope the New Carbon fibers have one more thing on the aluminums. When loosening the beater assembly to slide over the Beater cam to hinder negative rebound;After doing so tightening back up and playing for a while would automatically come loose. I am sure that if doing so might just need lock tight after stock tightening is more machined tightened that counters slipping on the bolt itself.
Glad to see the new the nuts on the heel hinge. That is the weakest link of the Axis pedal. Aside from the sonic hammers breaking.

I put in a purchase for some axis a lonboards but covid of course, it was 6 months later and still a no show. My favorite drum shop just gave me brand new dw machined chain drive double pedals for them taking to long so I got 1200 dollar pedals for the 700 dollars I paid for the axis and damn do I love everything about them so yea SEX!!!

I got Trick black widow longboards because Axis is in CA and was shut down not making shit for like a year. Glad Axis is back tho.
Bit of a tip Sam. Use motorsport racing shoes for your pedals. Rob Bourdon from Linkin Park uses FIA grade shoes. (used in F1 and NASCAR) I used FIA kart grade Sparco's and it made the world of difference

New subscriber here. First off you’re a kick ass drummer. After trying guitar and piano any it just not feeling natural. I found out that my father was a drummer. I wanted to start to learn how to drum if I’m not to old 47. I was wondering if you caoikd recommend an edrum kit. Live in a apartment and has to be that unfortunately. Thanks
For me personally, pedals can get to a point where they are just too light and flamboyant for a heavy hitter such as myself. Chain drives to me just have so much more feel and prescence, the speed cobras are my favorite pedals ever, but I can appriciate the utility of these pedals for extreme metal guys :)

I got the old school machined aluminum longboards and they are still amazing. I spent a ton of money on the old longboards. These would have t be game changing to get me to upgrade. I also feel that you could just get the footboards to upgrade the old ones.
From what I'm seeing, that's the idea, you don't have to buy the whole pedal assembly, you can just buy the boards.

Cool stuff! It's also nice to see when carbon fiber ACTUALLY makes a difference too. Instead of, ooooo we made it carbon fiber, but it doesn't really change anything. 🙂
