- So many golfers don't like the Bunker although in the end of the day, it forgives you many mistakes what a normal shot of the gras would not do. What I mean by saying this, you will see in this video. There are a few fundamentals you are supposed to follow and I am sure your bunker play will become much better, more successful and less fearful!

You are welcome! For the FW-Bunker just keep yourself stabil and keep your head from moving up and down. Play it as a normal shot of the Fairway!

Hi Martina my mum was from Dortmund, left Germany in 1947 after the Second World War. Unfortunately she passed away in 1975 when I was 12 years old so I didn’t get to spend much time with her. Will try to find her relatives when I have more spare time.

I had a horrible day today in the bunker because of rain the sand was hard and I roped the ball and it went 30 yards other side of the green
Sometimes I just mess with my Vokey 56 wedge

Hi Martina; I've always heard about opening the stance & swing from the outside to counter the open clubface. But when I did that, the ball came out really low & with a lot of sidespin. Should I be standing more square & swing normally as long as I keep the face from turning over? I haven't been able to practice for a while so haven't tried it. Thanks.
To stand a tiny bit open is fine, probably you overdo it! Try to stand just a bit open and swing along your stance. No extra... Let me know how it works!
Why am I always end up in any bunker around? Is it because I fear the bunker shot, a yip? Will try your method and maybe I start liking the bunker shots and … miss them more often.😄
Don't fear it! Think of the fundamentals and most importantly, practise it! There is always a way!
Hi Martina! I really enjoy your instructions. What adjustments do you do in a downhill lie in the back of a green side bunker. I struggle when using my 58 degree and open face.

Adjust your body and also the swingdirection along the bunkerslope and do exactly the same- hit the sand first in any case!
I get a low trajectory almost as the club head slide under the ball. If I adjust my body and swing to the slope, would it also help to use a club with less loft or more bounce? Thank you for answering my questions😊.

@@peterlind5169 Well the low trajectory is normal cause you swinging more down what always means low. More loft is always helpful. About the bounce I would suggest you have to try it out if possible. I've always had little bounds, so I don't have much experience with that, super sorry!

As good as your bunker lesson is Martina, I am the WORST bunker player in the world and I doubt if even you could get me playing them better. However, I will keep “plugging” away. Thank you.
David, just keep on practising. This is the first thing what Golfers do: avoiding to practise what is the worst part of their game. Get in there, try things out, use the bounce, feel your wrists... I wish I could be there to show you!
