  • This video is certainly not a normal golf content video but what I wanna tell in this clip is so important!
Golfer expect miracles in practice within a couple balls. Which make the job of the golf teacher not always the easiest. Being a former tour player I know, how much work and exaggeration it takes to make just a litte change! You have to go the extra mile by doing practice swings, doing drills, overdo movements and by doing this - leaving your comfort zone!
Have fun watching this video and enjoy learning!

I really love how you teach the lessons. Short but concise. And most of all, humility. You often say “in my opinion” or “for me” but I can tell you’re confident and know what you’re talking about.

Really helpful Martina. Early extension is one of my faults. Thank you.

I extend early, so I will do the exaggerated moves to create muscle memory. Thanks for another helpful video.

I read somewhere that as "new" muscles learn new movements (or move in ways they have never moved before), "old" muscles have to unlearn movements they have gotten used to. It's the older muscles and their old movements that create difficulty when learning new moves or actions because their movements are unconscious and ingrained.

A 100%. It's all about the comfort zone, the habits of our system, flexibility and muscles... Sometimes it also needs to hurt a bit ;)

Great tip! At 61 I've been trying to use my body more instead of my arms which I've done for many years.

Martina, I have been working on the proper tilt, especially during the backswing. I presume the downswing proper tilt is simply the reverse of shoulders-torso of the backswing. Yes, it is awfully strain full for me. What would you recommend as a daily routine to engrain this move so that it is not as painful and becomes automatic. How long would this take to get it right? I have a hard time even doing it without swinging my arms let alone hitting a golf ball. Thank you for any help and advice.

Take club in your house where you can swing in your backswing. Whenever you pass this club, you do a backswing with the move. Can't tell you how long it takes. Maybe you wanna see a coach inbetween to get it checked!
