Talk about voices that complement each other.
This is what rock n roll is supposed to be like.
Make no mistake - in their heyday, INXS had serious punch! One of the greatest bands ever!
By doing a bad impression of Jim Morrison?
Agreed, this track makes my spine tingle still. I’m a Lost Boy lol
Defo!

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎶🎶🎶
Still miss him after nearly a 25 yrs x
27 and still ...💔
So sexy. Respect ❤
INXS, the Aussie Lost Boys!
2 incredible voices at the top of their game. Goddamn I miss the 80s.
me too! Soo bad.
Amen to that!
Miss the 70s and 80s. MH just had a Birthday last month.Would have been 63.Still miss him.
Amen to that😇🙏🏻
hutchence and jimmy .........amazing
Michael is a rock and roll legend. I miss the dude big time.
inxs has been compared to the rolling stones. what do they have in common.
@@karlhelm875 inxs should never be compared to anyone , they were one on their own
loser hung himself over a skank. what a legend
@@markdavidson9100 Amen, brother. There's just no comparison. I like them 1,000 times more.
I still tear up occasionally. 😰
I am embarressed that I did not know INXs played on this song. SMH! Surprise🤣🤣 I love INCS and I love this song, so it makes sense!! Wahoo.
One of coolest songs of 80s. Jimmy Barnes sure sounds like acdc
Fantastic song. Brilliant pairing Jimmy and INXS. There's only one way to listen this to feelgood song. LOUD LOUD LOUD through a great system. Period. Man i love Australian artists.👍
If my neighbors aren't complaining,
I ain't making my point!! Happy Birthday Michael..♥️
Ahhhhh that INXS drum.....
@@maryhuhnke8496 my neighbours loved it so much they threw a brick through my window just so they could hear it better
Liven like thieves
Tiger Lilly's Dad , 👍 good times I always have a good time 😁👍
GREAT song! I counted 15 hair flips!!!
This looked like it was a great time here!
The lost Boys!
One of my favorite movies!
Death by stereo!
No BS, No Frills... Bad Ass R&R song to the Core. Loved this back then and today. Great song! RIP Michael, sorely missed.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear him SAY MY NAME!!! I want to be with you too Michael, my sweet handsome Michael. 💚
One of best voices ever pure vocal control
Love me some INXS. Jimmy Barnes AND Michael Hutchence together is pure magic.
holy shite I can't believe it's taken 30 years for me to find this song. I heard this as a teen and always wondered who it was with INXS. Thankyou tube sites.
Heard this song the first time I heard the soundtrack for the lost boys. It blew me away.
It still blows me away.
High energy ! And great fun here!
A kick ass song to one of the BEST movies ever made!!! 🧛
What an incredible showcase of Australian artists! The perfect pairing of vocals of Jimmy Barnes of Cold Chisel with Michael Hutchence and the stellar performance by INXS, of a song originally from The Easybeats, written by Harry Vanda and George Young (older brother of Angus and Malcolm Young of ACDC).
IT JUST DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THAT!!
Sounds like Brian Johnson (Johnston?).
Our Aussie music industry is so often under-rated. The showcase of talent and song writing has been phenominal over the years
This track was the only one where Jimmy Barnes got airplay in the US. I know they played it on KISW in Seattle a lot. it was like a showcase of Oz talent, to a city that was waking up to what Oz had to offer aside from AC/DC and Midnight Oil. Here you've got INXS, of course, with Barnes' fiery vocals, and being an Easybeats tune it really had it all. I love the way the two singers play off each other. The duet of duets really.
@@wk1810 yes sir, their voices are a bit similar -- Jimmy Barnes has a bit more punch. Apples, oranges. Barnes had a solo album out in the US in the early 80's, unfortunately it never went anywhere. Great album though. It probably was a compilation or US titled LP. Worth checking out. His Cold Chisel stuff was good, too (he was / is their lead singer).
jimmy is English
My God, those voices ❤❤❤
Another great movie the Lost Boys and they made the movie soar!
This is so tight.
This is some of my favorite music of all time. INXS should definitely be in the Hall of Fame.
Our hearts are still heavy today beloved Michael on this dreadful day, the day you went away. We will never forget you, we love you, and will always remember you. Thank you for all your wonderful contributions to music and your gift, truly you were a gift to the world. 💔
💔💕💖
please
Agree 💯👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌💋💔🎤🎤🎤🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹🎹🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🎷🎷🎷 Unforgettable 🙏
Awe dude...ya made me cry! It's been like 25 years and I still cry for Hutch. I miss him so so much!!
Michal was probably one of the best frontman I've ever seen.
THE best I've ever seen , and in the front row :)
Yup
One of the best? The absolute best.
Wish I had gotten to see him live. But at least this camera man understood who ylu wanted to see and who got the charisma on stage.
He brought the stage alive....lived it...
Holy cow! Ultimate party song!!!
I love The Lost Boys soundtrack.
Even the carnival songs!!!!
👍
Death by stereo!
@@susanrenee1657 True!!!!!! Lol such a great point. Brilliant, creepy and beautiful. I know this when I watch it but would never have acknowledged it like you did.
I was in this studio about 6 months after this vid was made. The name of the studio was Rhinoceros Studio and you can see a rhinoceros on the wall in the video. It was 1987 and I was there at the invitation of Noiseworks who were starting to record their debut album. They had supported mates of mine Boom Crash Opera at Sydney Cove Tavern the weekend prior.
Hutch is the best voice in the world.
He's the only one I know who sing better live than in studio.
Edi 96 Second only to Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode! If I could steal a voice, it would be Dave’s.
Love it!!
Edi 96 Hutch was amazing for sure
Yes! PERIOD
what a vocal mating this song made....both on point 🇦🇺
RIP MICHAEL HUTCHENCE :'(
If Heaven had stairs, I'd walk right up and bring you down again

Australian Rock Legends.The best.
AMAZING INCREDIBLE ICONIC LEGENDARY. WE MISS YOU MICHAEL😎⌛👍😪😪🎼🎸🎷
By all accounts, this video was filmed over a drunken weekend. I bet that would have been a GREAT weekend! Love this.
i am devestated and also proud. my what a time.
1:22 Jimmy Barnes: "She's gonna be there too-oo-ooo-oo-oo-ooo"..pffft..what a fucking sensational voice and vocal phrasing this man has folks!!
Takes me right back to the summer of 87. Definitely good times.
I saw them open for the GoGos in 1984
I was debating on going bec the concert was 1-1/2 hr 1 way on a work night. Then I saw INXS on the bill & I was like "Oh hell YES!"
What a dance party!
Aussie Legends covering an Aussie classic.
Sitting on the couch with the 'lurgy'...have to say...listening to this cranked up has made me feel a wee bit betta. Michael Michael you're on my mind...❤💋

Marissa totally agree with you. 100% Australia.✌
I will forever miss Michael. Left us too soon. So glad his and INXS music live on.
i am forever grateful that I grew up in this era hearing these great songs , done first by the EASYBEATS and then 20 years later by INXS and JIMMY BARNES.
MAY GREAT ROCK NEVER DIE
Michael was so incredibly talented and beautiful. His death was so tragic.
Damn best collaboration shiiiii😃😃iiit bring tha house down gig ...wish I was there 😎
Inxs and barnsey can't get any better!
I know! Wish they did a couple LPs together back then. Barnes is definitely the most underrated singer ever! and INXS, well, they are big and everything, and I like both bands, but I think INXS should have had the attention and glory that U2 got!
@@TimBurVlogs
WTF are you on about.
Barnsey is highly rated by millions and millions of Aussies, and many overseas.
And INXS were having massive global attention. They sold out Wembley for goodness sakes, how much bigger can you get. 🤦♀️
1970 - 2000. Remembering is agony.
“The Lost Boys” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach. All the damn vampires.
They're not half as terrifying as the Shiny Sax Guy.
Death by stereo
dude its me..... Santa Carla !!

Michal was probably one of the best frontman I've ever seen.
what a vocal mating this song made....both on point 🇦🇺
Man!!! I forgot how good this soundtrack was...
Every time "Lost Boys" is on...the volume goes up on this track!. Great duet and of course INXS being one of the greatest bands ever joined by one of the greatest ex-pat Scots on vocals aka Jimmy Barnes!. Match made in heaven!.
Death by stereo!
@@fromthehaven94 Classic!
@@jamiefoyers2800 By the way, I finally saw the other vampire movie of 1987, Near Dark. As different from night and day from The Lost Boys, but I liked it.
@@fromthehaven94 Oh yeah, Near Dark is excellent!. Got that one on DVD in my collection along with Underworld, Dracula, Blade and a host of other vamp movies. Everyone of them great movies. Lost Boys is just the stand out though..in a class of its own!.
Still miss you today. Huge loss
Michael all of you was spontaneous positive energy yet you died alone, lost.
You are missed 🖤♥️
Those drums! Jon Farriss was so underrated as a drummer. He was a fucking bad ass.
Jon Farris is a so great drummer.
Plus he's a nice guy, I've had the pleasure of meeting him many times. Thank you for this💖
drivel, a drum machine can do this
@@VINvIN344 Bullshit. Jon has one of the best feels in the business. A drum machine would never play this soulfully. Jon could play in church and raise the rafters.
Not just because of this song, but for those who don't believe this statement, please take a look at any 1993 live show, or any other live concert, and you'll see how incredible drummer he is
maybe the greatest duo ever
Jimmy Barnes is pure aussie rock !!!! and even better live.
Don't sleep on inxs, they put out the JAMS . MH is easily one the best frontman in history.
Saw jimmy 3 times even met him and had a chat, he was a really lovely guy! My mum also saw INXS with Michael Hutchence.
the voice, the lyrics, the music, everythings is perfect !
Brilliant song! One of my favorite INXS songs. I miss Michael so much. RIP :'(
Such a talented singer he was. His memory lives on in our hearts.
Two of my favourites
Michael was a legend in his own right his powerful voice is amazing best singer
Awesome voice, MH! So, so missed. Can you imagine him today.
I think Michael Hutchence would still be the handsomest man in the world if he were still alive today. He just kept getting better and better as he got older. What a loss!
Rock and roll music !!Inxs best band in the world forever!!!
Michael held the audience in his hands. There has only been one other person to ever do that.
Is that other person Elvis?
Brilliant song! Miss Michael so much! 16 years tomorrow he died :'(
Why he was taken from us I will never get over :'(
When he died, part of me died too :'(
Great to see all these guys together, smiling and having a good time!
What a combo...the daggy and the sexy...but it works!°Brilliant..

Arguably INX's best song and that's saying something!
Man, this song COOKS!
I will never forget mary of my life who snuck me a cigarette on a hosptal pass from edmonton remand in the van and the driver for letting me smoke it. Its the little things in life and i will never forget them. I almost died in remand so that would have been my last smoke. Cheers mates! Lol the driver was british! But mary a secret blessing in disguise in her wheelchair. Your beautiful.
See how much fun these guys are having. That is the 80's.

Michael was so loved. If only he knew how much 🥲
Happy 62 today Hutch!!!!
This is one of those songs where you REMEMBER where you were when it came out. I was about 16 and taking driver's ED courses. This song was HUGE back then. I miss the 80's...if you weren't there, you really missed out.
Micheal had an extraordinarily, brilliant, original voice...so talented!! 💙
Michael hutchence and Jimmy barnes having a good time with the music
Michael was my favorite. My mom found out he died before me. She left me a note.
"Michael died today. I wanted you to know before you saw it on the news. Send up a balloon for him."
She never said he killed himself.
I've met INXS many times. Kissed Michael many times. The loss of him... I feel it to this day.
Stacey Almeida you are so lucky 🍀 to have those memories!
Stacey Almeida wow. You are blessed. Thanks for sharing.
So sad.. Glad you have good memories though. ❤️ How come you met him?
🖤 he wouldn't have left his daughter, he didn't kill him self. Love to your mum💜
