Bought my first Scat Pack last month. A used 2019 with 8,300 miles. The car is amazing to drive, super comfortable, aggressive styling, tons of power, etc. I absolutely love it.

Plus group, dynamics package, HIDs, Red Calipers, etc. Dealerships are not giving these cars away. You might be able to swing a better deal on an RT 5.7 or V6 model, but the Scats and Hellcats are selling for top dollar all day.

I agree, my problem with dodge is they are refusing to make them in awd in the higher output platforms. I ended up with a taurus sho instead and am pushing 500 hp with downpipes, tune, intercooler, 170 thermo, 3bar map. The awd is slaying everything from a dig. I've been beat by some awd super cars like porche turbo s, ferrari spider stuff like that. Everyone is shocked when they get gapped. It's a shame though because I love the new chargers, I need awd for the snow around me though.
At age 57, I've owned some really cool cars/trucks ('77 Nova V8, '81 K5 Blazer, '96 Impala SS, '98 GMC K1500 (supercharged), '98 Z28, '08 Trailblazer SS, '02 Camaro SS) but my 2021 Scat Pack Challenger is my favorite car I've ever owned.
Loved my 19 Scat Pack Charger, but decided to let it go man. Wasn’t happy with how rough the suspension was, didn’t have the adaptive. Plus, with so many chargers on the road, Some GTs and RTs that look just like it. Just doesn’t stand out anymore. Decided to go with a 21 challenger wide body scat pack shaker and I haven’t seen another one around. Loving the wide body scatty!
I literally have a boosted scat pack, all I did was dropped in forged pistons. 2000 in parts and 1500 in labor by a small local mechanic. 3500 for a built bottom end with coated rod and main bearings. I did a custom turbo kit 3k in parts. Bought the car new for 52k wide body. Did fbo and e85 and I’m making 900whp. Still under a hellcat and it’s forged I can crank it up too over 1000whp but I need to build the heads & HC trans swap it. But 900whp is a bit over 1050hp to the crank & that plenty fast.
I've owned a 2016 challenger hellcat. I upgraded to a 2020 hellcat challenger redeye. Definitely worth the money. Got my wife a 2019 charger srt scat pack. We both are mopar or no car
Thank you for making up my mind for me. I was in the market for a used non-hellcat durango srt ,but can't justify paying 6-7k under original msrp for a 3 year old truck. I can't believe the bang for your buck with a scatpack. I'ma just keep on saving and when school starts I'ma be working weekends which will still earn me around 1k from 1 source of income. Once I have 20k in my account I'ma drop 15 on a down payment and just have the extra 5 so I don't have to stress. And by the time I cop the scatpack I'ma get a better job too. It's obtainable bro, and especially at our age we don't have that many expenses so it a good time to make money.

Great coverage of the car overall. I bought a 2018 Scat Pack before the wide body was an option and 6 years later I still get compliments on it everywhere I go. Getting it ceramic coated was the best decision I made cause the paint still looks new. I don’t regret buying it for a second and it’s my daily driver year round in the Great Lakes region. I’m considering trading it in just to get into a wide body and get the wider tires. Going from a 245 to a 305 would be a huge difference.
almost 9 months with mine. No complaints. Will I do it again, uhhh upgrade to the Hellcat Redeye, however for the Redeye kind of money $75k-$85K we talk GTR numbers C8 numbers, so its hard to decide.
Definitely love the scat mostly because the look and sound. But the mod potential and weight of the car makes me reconsider. Buying a car this summer it gonna be a tuff choice looking between a 2020 392 and 2020 5.0
Get the 5.0 10speed I’ve had my 392 for 2 years now and I’m going to trade it for a 5.0 lol , the mod potential is better on the coyote my brother has one and they are quick when FBO/E85
I love these cars man, so much fun. I did end up getting a 2021 Challenger Scat Pack Wide Body after the Charger. It's sweet. You did talk about how hard the Chargers are to park, yeah I feel you. I end up backing mine into spaces because of the backup camera mostly as it's hard to see where that front end is LOL. Also, remember how far the doors open up to, they swing out far. Plus I am tall so I need to open them up a ways to get my big feet out LOL. I also think the Charger is more stable at speed. I do see a lot of Chargers out there, not so many Challengers tho... I do have Hellcat envy tho., I might have to upgrade at some point :) Nice video Louie ! :)
Did a test with 392 and 10 speed ss and it was neck on neck from 60 to 120. at the top end he started slowly pulling.. maybe half a car length. (I had a passenger in the 392). SS ride solo.

I've been going between the SS and the scatpack wb. Only reason I'm leaning towards the charger is the fact I can get one new. If I get the SS I'd feel more comfortable throwing a cam in. Hard decision, they both go hard 💪🏾.
Have a 2016 Scat pack with 33,000 miles. Water pump went at about 15,000 miles, fixed under warranty, and the Goodyear tires that came with are horrible - fortunately (?) they don't last very long. Other than that, I love it.
I owned a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack in plum crazy purple. It was fast but with 245 tires traction was a big problem. If I had to do it all over again I'd have bought a regular R/T with it's 375hp engine.
Very nice video. I have a 15 challenger and I love it for all the things you mentioned. These are nice fun cars that look great straight from factory with very nice power. Since I don’t care about performance mods, this car works great for me and ideally don’t see myself getting rid of it.

Depends on the person and what you want. I’d go with a hellcat personally lol but there’s different levels to people wants and peoples financial situation.
Something I've always wondering, considering if you have this car, you're obviously driving more aggressive. Outside of tires/breaks does stuff get worn out or break more often? Or is the general cost of ownership pretty comparable to a regular car?
Cant necessarily answer your question cuz I have a Mustang GT not a charger. But cost of ownership is definitely more expensive. Full tire change costed me ~$1,600 for pirelli p-zero tires. I have to change my rear tires every 15,000 or so miles. Each oil change is ~$180 for full synthetic, roughly every 6-8k miles I change mine. And gas aint no joke you push a car like this and you can easily go as low as 11mpg.
I’m a truck driver went with a 2021 T/A 392 widebody, could’ve gotten into a 2019 widebody redeye, scat pack to me more street & city ready more than enough power to move around town lovely, fun as hell & great looking car..6.4 engine what else!
I fell in love with scatpack at CarMax, I take the vehicle pictures then have to upload them on the website, then drive it to the lot. Getting mine next month.
Scat pack wb was definitely the go at the beginning but are started to realize that I’m only me and drive most of time by myself don’t really take anybody so just ended up getting a mustang gt
Just bought a heavily modified widebody scat last night in L.A with a custom done interior. That power is insane when I was test driving it I was loosing traction just coming from a stop. The sales guy was scared but cool asf 😂

I just hit 100,000 miles on my 🐝 and gonna be so sad trading it in, but I Love Fast Cars and 💪❣️❣️❣️❣️ Also, It’s going to be so much more comfortable for my Parents especially my Mother who I drive five hours to pick up and I’ll bring her back to my home that’s another five hours. The hell cat is 200 horse power more but also double the price, I don’t even think where I live I’ve ever driven faster than 75 on the street, that’s why I feel like a hell cat is unnecessary
I’ve had my 2016 RT for about 5 years now only got 22k miles on it. I wish I could’ve went back in time and waited till I saved up a bit for a scatpack. But for my next car I can’t get myself to get a scatpack I might as well get the best bang for my buck and get a hellcat

I think and searching about it. So how fast is the Scat in comparation on Macan S? I had opportunity to run behind a 392 and he doesn't take a good advantage, so I just don't want loose power than I drive at the moment ! So let me know what your opinion.....! tks
I honestly wouldn’t know tbh, I’ve never drove a macan S. One thing I can say is The scat is amazing when it comes to torque. So much fun. But the top end is not the best. Not slow by any means but maro and mustang are faster in the long run. Scat is king when it comes to low end

Thanks for the video 💯💯💯 Great breakdown which gives me an idea of what to expect in a few months. I went to the dealership and factory ordered mine since prices for used widebody's are insane. I optioned mine out with the Plus Group and Driver Convenience Group and Sunroof. I initially had the Harmon/Kardon option, but removed it and figured I'd go to Best Buy at some point and add my own speaker system. Is the HK sound system even worth it?
I heard adding boost to a 392 can destroy the motor. If you do really want to add boost your best bet is to forge the internals or 426 hemp swap, however I think a procharger would be ok on the stock motor
My 12 Charger SRT stock 6.4 has a Procharger. I figured if I blow it up, I'll have a good excuse to get a forged 426.But it's just street driven and I raise hell every time I drive it.
So how long you let your car idle after a cold start? That remote start would be awesome for me because I'm always in a rush to work so I don't let the car warm up for no more than 2-3 minutes.
Might be me but I don't drive much so the value of my car stays the same that I bought it. Bought my mustang for 11k and it's still worth 10k even after I put 15k miles on it.
I had to sell my toys when my son was born back in 2020 and finally at a point where I can save some money up this is probably my next purchase always wanted one
I can't find many of these in my area, so I ended up going with the 22 Mustang GT Performance Pack. Couple simple mods like resonator delete, intake, etc... and you have a 460-470 crank HP car that handles like a sportscar more than a muscle car... That said, part of me wishes that I went with the Charger because of the 4 doors and more practicality. The Mustang has back seats, but it's not really good for anything other than kids or Hobbits, of which I have neither. haha I love that I can do whatever I want with the Coyote motor, but I keep coming back to this new Charger Widebody Scat pack and wondering if I made the wrong choice.
Since the 1970's Dodge has been out of the game , it's been Mustang and Camaros now , Dodge has been killing the game since the SRT came out then the Hellcat💯 , now everyone else has been playing catch up to the Mopar's which has made the big 3 companies get back together to out do each other . That is Great for whatever brand you enjoy , Mopar brought that back into play 💯👍🔥
It's a bad ass beautiful car Louie, you never going to have the fastest car on the road. It get lots of attention and a excellent car for a road trip with a few friends.
Do your research, know what they're going for and be patient. Start talking to different dealers now to see where you can get the best deal at, that way when the time comes you know where to go. Sometimes it takes a while to find the deal you're looking for. Be patient.

SS gets then top end until they top out at 160 and the ScatPack keeps on going. I outrun the SS and 5.0 in the quarter.
@@nickp2830 i have a 2019 10spd mustang gt pp1, and here in Arizona i ran a 12.260 @ 113-114mph, and thats with it losing traction from the 1st to 2nd gear shift stock tires, but now I want the widebody scat, but just in the back of my mind is the mod potential of the 5.0
Stock Scatpacks are so good already. I'm going to get one for that very reason. I know i'll get hungry for more power though :(

I've been going between the SS and the scatpack wb. Only reason I'm leaning towards the charger is the fact I can get one new. If I get the SS I'd feel more comfortable throwing a cam in. Hard decision, they both go hard 💪🏾.

Have a 2016 Scat pack with 33,000 miles. Water pump went at about 15,000 miles, fixed under warranty, and the Goodyear tires that came with are horrible - fortunately (?) they don't last very long. Other than that, I love it.
I owned a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack in plum crazy purple. It was fast but with 245 tires traction was a big problem. If I had to do it all over again I'd have bought a regular R/T with it's 375hp engine.
Very nice video. I have a 15 challenger and I love it for all the things you mentioned. These are nice fun cars that look great straight from factory with very nice power. Since I don’t care about performance mods, this car works great for me and ideally don’t see myself getting rid of it.

Depends on the person and what you want. I’d go with a hellcat personally lol but there’s different levels to people wants and peoples financial situation.

Something I've always wondering, considering if you have this car, you're obviously driving more aggressive. Outside of tires/breaks does stuff get worn out or break more often? Or is the general cost of ownership pretty comparable to a regular car?

Cant necessarily answer your question cuz I have a Mustang GT not a charger. But cost of ownership is definitely more expensive.
Full tire change costed me ~$1,600 for pirelli p-zero tires.
I have to change my rear tires every 15,000 or so miles.
Each oil change is ~$180 for full synthetic, roughly every 6-8k miles I change mine.
And gas aint no joke you push a car like this and you can easily go as low as 11mpg.
I just got a 21 scatpack challenger a little but under a month ago. I’ve had hella girlfriends and never loved any as much as I do this car

I honestly wouldn’t know tbh, I’ve never drove a macan S. One thing I can say is The scat is amazing when it comes to torque. So much fun. But the top end is not the best. Not slow by any means but maro and mustang are faster in the long run. Scat is king when it comes to low end

I optioned mine out with the Plus Group and Driver Convenience Group and Sunroof. I initially had the Harmon/Kardon option, but removed it and figured I'd go to Best Buy at some point and add my own speaker system. Is the HK sound system even worth it?

I heard adding boost to a 392 can destroy the motor. If you do really want to add boost your best bet is to forge the internals or 426 hemp swap, however I think a procharger would be ok on the stock motor

My 12 Charger SRT stock 6.4 has a Procharger. I figured if I blow it up, I'll have a good excuse to get a forged 426.But it's just street driven and I raise hell every time I drive it.
So how long you let your car idle after a cold start? That remote start would be awesome for me because I'm always in a rush to work so I don't let the car warm up for no more than 2-3 minutes.

I can't find many of these in my area, so I ended up going with the 22 Mustang GT Performance Pack. Couple simple mods like resonator delete, intake, etc... and you have a 460-470 crank HP car that handles like a sportscar more than a muscle car... That said, part of me wishes that I went with the Charger because of the 4 doors and more practicality. The Mustang has back seats, but it's not really good for anything other than kids or Hobbits, of which I have neither. haha
I love that I can do whatever I want with the Coyote motor, but I keep coming back to this new Charger Widebody Scat pack and wondering if I made the wrong choice.

Do your research, know what they're going for and be patient. Start talking to different dealers now to see where you can get the best deal at, that way when the time comes you know where to go. Sometimes it takes a while to find the deal you're looking for. Be patient.
