I'm worried to put him behind so much horsepower with such a large payment. Then gifting me a 1993 Nissan Stanza on my 19th birthday and hearing my dad say "I didn't have wheels with a sunroof at your age. It even has a CD player." And cringing when my mom would say "And it's FAST boy!" when in actuality it did 0 to 60 in 2 minutes. Downhill. And that memory makes me say "YOLO Son. Hustle hard and buy this ride!" Appreciate you guys making this review. ☮️&♥️ To everyone.
It's very easy to get into trouble with one of these Scat Packs. If he buys one, be sure the title is in his name so no one can sue you and take your house. Because these are going away after next year, I traded in a Mustang GT for one. And, in my opinion, the Charger 392 has way more cajones--you can chirp the rear wheels without even trying.
Hell, if he works hard for it I'd let him have whatever he wants. I do know as someone whose first car was a V6 charger... If I had a scat pack I'd have gotten myself into a lot of trouble. But then again, I would've gotten myself away from a lot of trouble too, lol.
I would recommend starting with something with less hp like a gr86 or something like that. Because he doesn’t have a lot of experience it would be very easy to over estimate its abilities and possibly get into an accident. But if you know he is responsible, then hopefully it’ll be fine😊

I like the widebody look on this 4 door torpedo. It reminds me of the magnum and the first gen 300. But it increases drag dramatically, and lowers the top speed of the charger. Plus you won't be able to fit through many drive thrus and the tires will be very expensive
And this isn't even the wide body that they offer! This isn't that big of a vehicle to go through drive thru's, there shouldn't be any issues for that! The charger is a sweet family sedan!

I guess so! The Charger has had this body style for a while now, with few tweaks here and there! It still looks good, but I think it's time for dodge to step it up with something crazy for the Charger!

I have 13 months left on my lease (2019 Challenger RT Shaker) and the used car market is so hot that my trade in value will pay off my lease today if I wanted. I could get out free and clear today. Just waiting for leases to get better. Hoping to get in a Scat pack in April or May.

@@aaronwebster1321 depends. If you daily drive it you can put in eco mode to save some gas. For insurance. It really depends on your driving history. I’m young so my insurance and pretty new in the insurance’s eyes so they charge me $200 per month on insurance

I can attest that you will not get 24mpg on the highway. Over 20 is good, 21 is the best I've achieved being real light on the throttle. 24 would be down hill with a tail wind. -Still, love the car.
I’m not a fan of the charger in general, but I don’t mind when car manufacturers keep a similar design. It helps your car to not look outdated so fast. I’m ok with a drastic change like every 10 years though.
The interior of this car is so outdated though. It is running on the EXACT same layout as the 2011. Yeah they changed a little bit but 2022 needs to have a redone interior. Auto manufacturers are truly fucking the consumer every year.
@@valentineenterprises7254 That's wrong. Look at the interior setup on the 2011 and the 2015. Despite the steering wheel and newer seats, and upgraded U-connect it is the exact same interior. Same materials too.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed The Hellcat does have more top end HP and speed. But given traction, the larger engine and greater low end torque makes the scat pack quicker to the 600ft. mark on the drag strip. For neighborhood blasts, the scat pack has the advantage.
I highly recommend to get. Corosa performance exhaust that's how mine came I guess the former owner modified the vehicle to make it much more louder and more aggressive deep tone

I drive mine on weekends my civic during the week love my scat but my civic is more swift in heavy traffic. Another thing is these scat pacs get attention like u driving a lambo. It gets irritating people always walkin up talking bout my scatty and pretty she is.

I say help get son an rt charger , 373 horsepower & the v8 still he’ll enjoy it safely. This scat requires some experience it is easy to wreck

Yeah they need an update very soon! The whole car hasn't really changed since the early 2000s even. Still look very similar
Hopefully it’ll get the Uconnect 5 and an interior update since they have zero plans on making this on a new platform.
The last change was actually in 2015 not 2011 its been the same since 2015 and yes it does need a change

@@antonioreyes2382 i had a 15 rt awd, traded on a 19 srt, traded on a 21 hellcat. The rt would chirp the tires, the srt would spin the tires, the hellcat spins all 4 tires into 3rd gear with traction control off

It seemed like a fun car to drive! The hellcat obviously has a lot more power, so just depends if you are willing to spend the extra money for it!

I would say there is plenty of space! Check some out in person so you can get a better feel of the driver seat and the room!
