Click here to watch our review on the Charger Hellcat Widebody: • The 2020 Dodge Charger...
While the Dodge Hellcat name gets all the attention for its supercharged 707 HP Hemi V8, the real value and goldilocks of the #DodgeCharger lineup can be found with the #ChargerScatPack. Updated for 2020 with a new #ChargerScatPackWidebody, this 392 cubic inch V8 puts out the most power in the naturally aspirated V8 segment with 485 HP and 475 lb-ft of torque. #Dodge says you can get to 60 in under 4.5 seconds for a base price of just under $40,000. Long live the 4-door muscle car. #Charger392ScatPack #Charger392 #392ScatPack #ScatPackWidebody - Авто та транспорт
Hope you all enjoy getting two Dodge performance vehicles in less than 24 hours! Just incase you missed it, here is the link to the 2020 Charger Hellcat Widebody: ua-cam.com/video/yO72LQ_aqXA/v-deo.html
Nearly 500 HP is plenty in this car and we much prefer the Scat Pack over the Hellcat but feel free to tell us which you like more.... Hellcat or 392 Scat Pack??
I see the red one too so I am guessing a 3th video is coming soon
yo love the reviews my man. quick question though... whats the point of having a wide body? does it improve performance?
@@rubberbandman097 wide body means wider tires. More grip for all that power going to the back wheels.
Hellcat anyday!
Redline Reviews bro shorten the title
I can't wait to walk into the Dodge dealership and ask for the 6.f**k litre V8.
Same
Juan Herrera why did he even censor that XD
Same I currently own a v6 mustang. Was my first car but I’m ready to trade it for the charger. With kids need the 4 door while also being able to have fun with a v8
Grass 2988 lol I also got a V6 new edge.
Grass 2988 I can see why you would need a car but I don't see why you need kids
As much as I want that Hellcat, this is probably as close as I’ll get.
Cold Vein you can get a hellcat for 30k now
LetsGoToMarsMan yeah I saw some used some had 18k-20k miles but you gotta think those were some hard miles. Driving this car is so much fun. Everywhere you’re driving you’re trying to punch it. So I’m not so sure about used.
For the extra 20k get the hellcat, fuck it....a race car is worth a Payment plan.
LetsGoToMarsMan hell fucking now you can not . I wish I’m sure we both do , they’re still in the mid 40s on average. The gt500 has reached 30k just now .
Money aside I would rather the Scat because it is more pleasing to drive in that it "feels" more powerful with a more torque feel
This dude must be short because he keeps complaining about how big the car is.
With the hood open, the car blocks his sunlight there's your answer.
LOLOL
He is short lol
Yeah he is probably 4"9
I'm a short guy and my friend's 300C feels like a big car lol
As an owner of a narrowed scatpack and a hellcat Challenger, this review is spot on. I enjoy taking the scatpack on more trips. And in ECO mode, I've scored as high as 25.6 MPG. Awesome to think this is still offered
I got 28.2 on my 2012 charger srt, on my trip yo California last year. IT was great.
Good luck with the MDS issues in your Scat Pack
@@ormand3000 thanks.
@@ormand3000 there is no actual proof to back up the claims of the newer 5.7’s and 6.4’s having mds issues. We’ll be enjoying our scat packs while you drive your mom’s minivan
I averaged 25 mpg on a 300 mile trip in my scat pack without eco mode. I avoid eco mode like the plague
He is spoiling us Mopar fans😍😍😍, I want the hellcat.
Almost look like a Camaro from the front
Darion Smith the camero looks like the charger because it came out after the charger.
Do you have the scatpak?
moescolla no I had a 15 Hellcat Charger but traded it for a 19 Alfa Romeo Giulia. Bad idea kinda 😩😩😩
007 oh ok
I’m sure that Giulia is still fun though
“Rob I’m trying to film!”
I would be Rob “I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist” 🤣
@Ag Performance 6:24
The next person who says they want all wheel drive muscle cars I'm blowing up their she shed
Just tell them they do have awd muscle cars the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango both come in the 5.7, 6.4 and Grand Cherokee trackhawk 6.2 supercharged
4 wheel drive wagon
Amen Paul !! Corn Ballitis !!!
Paul Lubbers yeah nothing is wrong with the option though. You don’t think about it bc you probably don’t deal with the snow
Paul Lubbers people today don’t know how to properly drive RWD, and because of that always want AWD to save them and make them think they’re a better driver than they actually are.
That engine sounds so good.
Thank you Sofyan, thank you so much for giving the engine specs and discussing the exterior first and then going into the interior. My OCD used to kill me when you used discuss the engine after doing the exterior and then the interior and then the engine. It just used to feel in organized. Love your reviews. Never miss it.
That torque flight ZF is a monster.
It snaps through the gears
Best bang for my money
It’s an outstanding transmission. I’ve had a lot of auto transmissions over the past 36 years, usually with a high stall converter for the track. This is the first auto trans that I’ve owned that can 60 ft as well as my other autos without a stall converter. It knows when to up/down shift. It’s so good.
jeff grabowski yes sirrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Love it on my JGC. Just pop her into sport mode and go.
Keeping the mistakes in, I like it.
Sofyan--"ROB I'M TRYING TO FILM!" OMG DEAD 💀
Just found your channel, I’m not even half way through and I think I’m in love with it. Keep up this content, man!
Just remember when he says it scares him... that’s a good scare not a bad scare. The only scary thing is the 20k difference between both of these vehicles. Another informative review by the way.. keep them coming.
The only disappointment with dodge is no interior updates.
The interior is toooo old.
Trenton.T Channel it hasn’t been any longer than any other vehicle. 4 years and they changed minor things last year
False 2015 was a good update and minor update this year for 2019. Why change what’s not a problem
Would love the Carbon Fiber like the Ford bit*hes !!
Interior and hp thats all they really need
Great Review! I'm interested in Dodge Chargers now. The Scat pack Wide body to be exact.
13:50 that frieza laugh tho💯
Nomo 4u good catch 😂
Lol
4.3 second 0-60 is very conservative for the scat pack. Especially with the widebody. I have a 2019 scat pack charger and I put 275 all season continental extreme contact tires on it. I got 4.0-4.2 seconds for the most part. One time I hit 3.9!
If you put them on 305s or 315s you’ll surely get 3.5
😂
@@tristonmanuel6813 😂
Loved the drive of this vehicle. It reminds me of the smoothness that older American sedans had. I drove a Scatpack (non-widebody) and even in that car the power was really good. I think there needs to be an AWD variant for all that power. If you own one of those in a climate where the seasons change you could really wind up in major trouble with just RWD. The build quality is the biggest thing that pulled me away from it when I drove it though. The center stack trim piece seemed to be misaligned. When I went to straighten it the whole thing started to come apart. NOT what you want, especially in a 50k+ car. The other thing was the 🦵 room. As big as it looks if you’re a taller front seat driver the rear seat room is very GTIish.
Thanks for continuing to bring us all the cool stuff we want to see 🤟
Ahh I was waiting for this one!
An outstanding look at the best value big HP Chargers, very informative!
Can’t wait to get the new HellCat in Forza Horizon
I’m not a noob they should add the widebody charger
They need to fix the sound first
I’m not a noob I can’t wait for forza 8 these cars are way too outdated
I’m not a noob what new hellcat
😂😂😂😂😂
Glad to see someone else couldnt get launch control to work either. I had it in my 2015 challenger and couldnt get it to work, I just spun the wheels (I assumed I was doing it wrong). I've never tried launch control on my scat pack charger though, I feel no need to use it. They did such a good job with traction control in this car. It really is there just to prevent you from killing yourself. It still let's you burn out and even slide a bit without cutting power. I think it's really just designed to keep you straight-ish (which is what you want) I remember traction control systems that would kill the power at the slightest slip and it was awful
The scatpak actually puts out 500+ hp at the crank and 425-430ish at the wheel.
Can’t beat that for 40Gs
moescolla they going as low as 30k in Va , 2019 models, can’t beat it best bang for the buck
Keon Linyear no doubt
Got mine over the summer for 36k w/ Memorial Day discount
Not brand new brand new you’re paying over 40 for it I just bought one
William Rose Dealership In Stafford, Va got them goin for a little over 30k
@@williamrose7818 i got mine brand new for 36K
Hell yeah its better! Naturally Aspirated over Forced Induction anytime.
That was a great review, we don't get these in Australia but we get the same setup in a Chrysler 300 SRT with the same specs. I have just purchased one and love it.
Fantastic review and sound clips!!
That’s the sound of freedom coming from those tail pipes baby 🇺🇸
Freedom pipes?
I like dis 1 better than the cat😎
Fantastic review, as always.
i ordered my 2019 scat pack when they opened up at my dealer and absolutely love it! ive since upgraded the suspension with Eibach springs, and put some beefy 315s in the back with 295s up front on some Feradda wheels. cant wait to do my big cam with intake and longtubes next year! she runs 12.3 in the quarter now
You’re telling me you’re not in the 11s with 315’s? I pulled 12.3 with 245s... With 305 I guarantee you I’ll get this in to the mid 11 range
@@williamrose7818 i think its a timing thing, just a bit of operator error haha. My PB is 12.33, im close! But there arent many stock scats breaking 11s
Cant wait for straightpipes review on these
Great review as always. Not sure I'd want to lug around 4300lbs. But its a bad ass car.
Sofyan has officially taken the tittle as the best car reviewer keep up the good work team
I really enjoyed your review. Nice job.
I’ll be getting my 392 scatpack at the end of this month !! Can’t wait
Did you get it
Lol
@@menacemafia5672 I hope he did
How’s it been so far dawg?
"Rob I'm trying to film" sounded like "mom I'm trying to film" 😁
This Is beautiful. Wide body cars really aren't my cup of tea but this I'm liking. I love what FCA has done with this platform.
Can’t wait this will be my next car to go for I have a 2020 sxt once I pay this off I’ll be moving up the ladder great review man
Dodge needs to make the two fronts seats thinner to maximize rear leg capacity. Those seats are so thick.
I own one, i agree.
Great review! I own a ‘16 Scat Pack and I’m thrilled with the power. I will be getting the widebody Hellcat sometime next year.
A lot of Scat Pack owners said that getting a Hellcat was a mistake. More power, but there's something about an NA engine that screams old skool.
Pick me up? Stop being selfish
Glen English why not just keep the scat pack?
JUSTSWITCHED! I am.... getting both. Wifey wants a Hellcat! Who am I to argue? It’ll be here tomorrow
Been looking for a video like this
Brilliant work on the sound and tach
This sounds better than the Hellcat to me. Definitely the sweet spot. But those tires are probably $$$...
lol did u see the mpg 8.5 premium fuel only oof
L.A. Gaming lol yup but I think people who buy these vehicles buy them to have fun in them I don’t think they care about the MPG.
On the video yes.
In person no.
I have a ‘17 T/A 392, I usually average about 17mpg, and I do get on it. I don’t know what they did to get 8 mpg
L.A. Gaming they get 8 because the reviewers punch on it and leave them idling for a long time they average about 15-18 mpg and that’s with hard driving
You can literally buy a decently used 2015-17 hellcat for $45-50k and spend a good $5-6k for an aftermarket widebody kit. That price tag is crazy.
If you buy a used hellcat you’re buying yourself into a nightmare of problems.
I’m actually buying this car this week. I had the 2016 Charger Scat Pack. Going to the wide body, I’m really excited.
I haven’t watched any of your videos in a while but still subbed lol wow your videos are way more fun now
Welcome back! We try to continuously improve and make the videos more fun with each one ;) Hope you enjoyed it!
Going awd will take away some of that excitement imo.
And just take a look at the engine placement in comparison to the shock towers or front wheels. Youd have to put that engine way forward to be able to fit half shafts and not to mention all that suspension and knuckle work that needs to be done for clearance. Slapping awd with the longitudinal mounted v8 will just ruin the balance.
This is my dream car!
Greetings from Panama
Same here. 😁
Great video! I really enjoyed it. I made up my mind and leased a silver one
I drive a 2018 RT+, definitely will be looking into getting a widebody Charger in the upcoming years
I’d take the RT scat pack 😍. But to be safe I’d take it with all the safety tech.
They definitely lied about that 40 inches of backseat legroom.
Its probably based on your average height person, not with the seat all the way back. Everything in cars is based off of average people...
6.4 N/A V8 is the sweet spot !
Powerful engine with the amazing exhaust note and it's reliable.
Had to subscribe, amazing review
Fantastic Review! Classifying the Scat pack as “so old school, so charismatic” is spot on! Try not to smile while driving one of these...I just bought one 😂
Did I just watch a charger review? Yes.
Am I gonna watch this one as well cuz it's redline reviews? Yes.
Great reviews on the Chargers Sofyan. Looks like the Scat Pack is the way to go.
I daily my ‘17 Scat Pack with no regrets. Puts a smile on my face each and every drive. It sounds like Dodge has improved the exhaust note even more in this evolution of the Scat. I wouldn’t mind owning a Hellcat one day, but it’s kinda hard to justify the extra $20K, unless I go for a used one.
how's it holding up?
You are so lucky in states, in France the driver is drowning under the taxes. We will soon have to ride on horseback.
@mike a No, lol it's not free ! you've have to pay monthly xD
Why the beep there ? 6.what ?? :P
That's what I'm saying
We accidentally said 6.2L instead of 6.4L lol
Redline Reviews da disrespect! looool
@@theredline I honestly thought you said 6.f*ck liters.... I think that will be better than 6.2.
@@mikeb7943 yeah that would've been the more American thing to say anyway
I will be upgrading in the spring and can't wait
Nice review again
Love it for 50k and almost 500 hp it's a win😏👌👏
looool should’ve showed this video before the Widebody Hellcat
That thing revs really dang fast!
Bro I love ur car videos u be on point I would not buy a car without looking at ur view
I drive 6spd black Challenger T/A and I love my life. THANK you Dodge.
Finally Dodge went for the flat bottom steering wheel.
Nice car, saw it at the Houston auto show. Thanks for sharing.
Dope video, you can tell you guys had fun with those cars! Lol
“The middle seater is shafted” i see what you did there because when I get that terrible seat you get f*cked lmao, great video
5:17 i like how the MPG goes down in real time as you floor it lol
Love the channel...and the car maker❣💜😇
Glorious sound of the v8 😍
Love those wheels
went to the dealer to get a 2019 Hellcat, left with a 2019 scatpack, after test driving the scatpack I didnt bother with the Hellcat, the price and power combination couldnt be beat.
smart man most want a hellcat jus to say i got one and probably will never really enjoy the full potential of it on the street thats more a track car ...scatpack is plenty i got one as well enjoy salute
SkatZilla_392 the best thing about owning a hellcat is that you can be all the cocky 392 owners 😁
X1-800-GETWRECK don’t get me wrong I love what dodge doing period & I love dodge performance side ..but I still believe the 392 is plenty for most it jus really depends what fits the individual...I enjoy the hell out a 392 still plenty fast & faster then most I’m content ...
Great Review that’s a great price range and power as well might as well not even get the Hellcat
holy moly it sounds sooo good
At that "Launch" segment he looks as if he was holding on for dear life---ROTFL
This platform is older than me 😂😂😂😂😂
I been here since the 13 optima sx review and to see how far this channel has come is amazing
God that sound coming out of the charger is orgasmic!!!!
1:56 I guess the Shelby GT350R Mustang isn’t included??
I took down a Shelby GT 350 mustang with my 2019 scat
Mopar sure do make a great sounding V8. Wish we got them in Aus, though the sales volume would be tiny.
I believe you still get the 300 SRT don't you?
Love the new red graphics. Sweet ride
How was the wine? Ha ha!!!!! You are the best in all actuality. I look for redline reviews. This is what I was looking for. Thanks
485hp in a Scatpack is no laughing matter and is pretty much the sweet spot when it comes to power and speed...BUT...the SRT Hellcat is certainly the hot🔥spot for me,in my opinion! Lol I would still take a Scatpack any day! I just hope Dodge doesn't go electric in the future. If it's not broken, and you're winning, why fix anything?
Damn bro, this comment age perfectly
It’s time for a new platform and new interior design
Same thing as the green charger you did but this one isn’t missing arm rest and other goodies 😜
I saw a redeye charger at cvs last week. What a car
The Dodge Charger Pursuit (police package) comes with a 5.7 Hemi and AWD
Ryan T they the police need the base engine with 300hp, I need a slight chance to get away
Sadly that's mated to the garbage 5 speed. Any advantage you might get from awd would be lost on the 5 speed which is significantly slower than the 8 speed. Plus, it's in the 5.7L which is still fast and fun but really has no need for awd. I never had an issue with my 5.7L charger or challenger, I even got snow tires for the challenger and it was serviceable in light snow. The wide body scat pack doesnt really need awd either as the fat tires do more than enough to put the power down.
@@VanquishedAgain That awd is welcomed up in the northern states. Nothing light about our snow.
@@sweatervestguy I was in Massachusetts... the key to remember is that AWD in one of these cars wouldn't make a damn bit of difference with the tires they have. They are not meant for snow or even cold weather. So if you need to buy snow tires anyways, you dont really need awd. I drove my challenger in up to 3 inches of snow. If you need to drive through anything else you should have an suv and not a low slung charger with 485 or 707 hp...
THAT'S the one i'd get
I dunno how many versions of a old car Dodge can expect to do
So freaking aggressive. I love it!
This guy is the best reviewer. Period.
He's not the best, But he is good.
In my opinion the 6.4 sounds better then hellcats 6.2
Great car but I’d wait for interior update before buying one.
You might be waiting forever. This is the 2020
@@ComedyTVWeb I'd argue that anyone could afford one, It's not far from an RT, it's just a matter of being able to pay for maintenance.
I got a Camaro because the interior was so beautiful. As soon as the charger looks like a 50-60k car, I’ll upgrade.
HempWorkouts makes sense, I’ve heard 2021 for total makeover. 🤞
Did you remember to mention that this is the Goldilocks of the lineup? I didn't catch you talking about that.
I believe they don't offer the AWD in the ScatPack because it would be too close to the Hellcat in terms of 0-60 times. It would take away from the sales of the Hellcat and customers would opt for the AWD Scatpack since it would be much safer than the Hellcat, and you would be able to drive it in the winter too, whereas the Hellcat, its too difficult to drive in the winter, and people store it away until summer (In Canada at least). I could be wrong, but thats my guess :). Btw awesome videos! Cheers!
