Here's how to edit and export 120 fps videos in Premiere Pro so they playback at normal speed, NOT slow motion! Premiere usually limits you to a 60fps sequence, but this easy trick lets you edit with a 120 fps sequence as well as export at 120 fps! 😁

I needed this most for batch exporting at the highest quality and fps .
Thanks Matt✌️
Hella straight forward and even more so helpful. Good vid and info dude
This really helped me getting on Premiere Pro. Thank you so much matt!
Worked like a charm!! I had 60fps source, added luts and music, and couldnt export anything over 30fps..the export ware choppy.. added this encoder, now its perfect smooth!!!
Good video. I was following along. You have very simple and detail follow along videos.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!
Nice video I love the atmosphere of it !😄
I NEEDED THIS MATT THANK YOU!
I love learning from the internet!
I take 120fps all of the time! When UA-cam allows 120fps uploads, I'll consider using this if I use Premiere to make my videos. I subscribed.
Зачем все время лить видео в 120фпс!?
Your video led me on a fascinating trip. It gave me the idea to use this Export method to actually create Proxies for my 120p Sony a7S III shot footage, as the normal Proxy Codecs only go up to 60p (as you demonstrate in this video).
All you have to do is select all the files in premiere (together) and right Click - Export
Then chose H.265, modify the resolution to something manageable (like 790p), with a Low-ish Bitrate, like 8Mbps and of course the 199.88p framerate
They export all at once and then all you have to do is right click the files in the project again, and chose proxy - attach (once it finds the first one, the rest get attached).
Thank you for this tutirial maaan .It's really helping for beginners. Support From FRANCE !!!
This was very helpful, thank you!
Bro you're a godsend for this info! Thanks!

This is wonderful! I was checking since long in premier but couldn’t solve😥 thanks a lot
HEVC(H.265) format is not showing in export setting. What should I do??

Thank you Matt watched a lot of other videos telling me to just select half the framerate which is a ridiculous solution!

LURV U! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! :D
than you so much, saved me from an issue with a client
Hey Matt, great video and VERY helpful. But, is there any way to make a nested clip go back up to 120 FPS or even up to 240 FPS? (I clip in 240 FPS)
Really awesome 👏🏻dear💪🏻
This is a top tier video and very much appreciated ! Turns out I had basically the same settings but youtube doesn't seem to want to use 120fps I'm gonna assume it's a premium setting.
Either way Stellar info thank you !
God that H.265 part was the solution i needed.. thank you legend!!
thank you so much!
Awesome bro! Hahah
Thanks . first like and comment
thanks, you precisely have that problem of how to export at 120 fps. thank you very much for your help. Greetings
Thank you very much!
Thank You!
Thank you so much. Now I'd like to know how we can create an adjustment layer at 120 fps ?
What export settings should we use if we are exporting the slow motion one (120fps in 24fps)?
Also helpful for any budding Ang Lee's out there. Is NVENC available on any GPU?
thanks Matt :)
Hey does anyone have any recommendations on slowing down 120 clips and have the audio synced as well (meaning slowing the audio down) I feel like there has to be an easier way than manually syncing it.
You're a life savor.
ty bro
thank you so much bro for thes
THANK YOU!!!!
Excellent tutorial. I'm finally able to add my 48fps clip, but any suggestions how to export it to 48fps? I don't see that option.
Thanks alot
Thank you very much, for days I was thinking how to get 120fps. Thanks to you, I learned. If you come to Istanbul one day, I will buy you a nice coffee and a meal ok...))
Hi Matt. I have a question. Some time ago you posted a video about the best MacBookPro for video editing. I really liked the video. Now there is this new Mac Mini with an M1 chipset. What are your thoughts on this one for video editing?
thank you so much
MATT THE REAL BOSS OF EPIC WORLD !!!
You are my hero
thank you very much
Hi matt, I tried all this but when I go to export. I get an Out of memory error ( failed to create encoder). Running Windows Premiere pro CC 2021
THX :)
si me funciono muchas gracias,
Hello, I have adobe premiere pro 2020 v.14.6 and it does not appear in H265 formats, my video being 120fps. What could be the problem?.
TNAK YOU SO MUCH
Good tutorial Matt
Thanks Lyn!
perfectly explained
I don't have the hevc option Matt. How do I go about this?
Woww your a genius like literally is there anyway that final cut does this or davinic resolve 😩😩 any way you can help us with that
can you make diference between 24 and 30 fps slow motion from 120fps video?and see if have ghost or better visualization. I know at 24 the slowmotion will be x5 instead of x4 but if improve image experince can be worth it.
On what frame rate should I create to adjustment layer for 100fps video in premiere Pro?
hi. how can i put 60fps footage into 30fps timeline without slowing it down. i mean i want it to play back at normal speed with 60fps smooth in 30fps cinematic choppy timeline ?
Very nice
i dont have HEVC option in export how do i get it
Hi thank you ! I met some issue exporting, the ratio of my sequence is not respected... I enconter the same problem when i didn't create a sequence before importing my video into premiere then exporting... Somebody can help me ?
Matt I could really use your help ! I shot a video mostly in 60 FPS with my Osmos pocket and the rest of the shots are 4k 24 FPS. I made my sequence in premiere 60 FPS and included the 24fps clips with no problem but now when I export it’s all delayed and the time is off . What can I do ? Should I have made the timeline a different FPS? Should I have converted the clips from 60fps to 24 FPS in handbrake before ? Please help brother 🙏🙏Appreciate all your content
How do we create proxies that can maintain a 119.88 frame rate??
Hey Matt. i get a promt saying "Error compiling video". what do I do?
thank you
thanks
helpe dme a lot
How is possible when I do a render IN and OUT of the clips in which I am editing video, my CPU be used 100% the GPU 2% and RAM memory around 40%, is any settings option on Premiere Pro to reduced that % from CPU? btw my CPU is i7-10700K 3.8ghz up to 5.1ghz and RAM is 32GB 3600mhz (compatible parts)
Does anyone know what can be done if I need to create an adjustment layer to colorize several 120fps videos but when creating it the 120fps option does not appear either?
I do not have H.265, is there a workaround for that?
You ROCK!!
Thanks Karl!
After slowdown and speed ramp some of my clips should export in 60fps? Or export in 24fps, the footage was shot on 60fps. But if I export in 60 fps after slow down it looks laggy
When I followed the steps for this video and adjusted all the settings, I got a pop up that said "failed to create encoder" and gave me an error code of 7. What does this mean?
Matt hello! On latest version of premiere pro 2022 the 120fps selection it does not exist. The maximum posible fps ratio is the 60fps. Can you check it please?
hello i got question couse when i clip in more than 60fps when i look at the clip in premiere pro lets say it has 120 fps it is very laggy i got this issue since i installed premiere pro and i dont know how to solve it ,maybe u can help me thanks.
Thank you MATT for this great tutorial,
-If i have 2 clips with (120fps & 60fps) on timeline ?
HOW will manage the sequence ...?
Regards,
I would set your sequence to 60fps
If i shoot at 1080p 120fps and export at 1080p 23.976fps in premiere pro then what bit rate i should place for UA-cam ?
I get error compiling movie, export error, error completing render. Why?
Hi Matt.. just have a doubt.. i have 4K 100fps footages to be edited for UA-cam. So which is the best frame rate to work in Premiere pro.. i tried 24fps sequence but when i slow down the clips again to ultra slow motion, the frame jumps !! I need to make Cinematic 24fps 4K video for UA-cam, no need of 100fps !! Kindly please help !!
I’m exporting 120 fps and my Apple devices continually add slow motion sections to the export. Is there any way to prevent this from happening or another format?
TIA
is it possible for me to add a 120fps video into it and then make sure the sequence is still set to 120, add 60 fps footage then delete the 120 fps footage while the 120fps sequence is still there?
