Well someone dropped the ball with my launcher as it was leaking CO2...a audible hissing sound of leaking air was heard when cartridge was punctured. BUT, I have to say Byrna was AWESOME in rectifying the problem. They sent me a return label, I sent it back to Byrna and I received back all good very quickly. Sh!t happens, so no big deal but how it was handled afterwards is what counted for me. THANKS Byrna!
Agreed. Every manufacturer will have defects from time to time, how they handle it really determines what kind of company they are. Nice to know Byrna stood behind their product.

Isn't .43 cal a little too small for self defense? I own an HDR .50 cal revolver since I couldn't find byrna launchers where I live. How much of a difference does the caliber make when fired at 280-300 fps?
@@vasylobilinovic4624 due to the weight difference between .43 and .68, although the muzzle velocities of my Umarex PPQ T4E is almost the same as my Byrna HD（ around 250～300FPS), the impact energy is twice of .68(10 joules) to .43(5 joules)
So if you are looking for the stopping power, you should use 0.68 .
However if you want to use .43 as a HD, you should always use pepper balls to increase the stunning effect… just my personal experience..

@@AA-hj8er Have I used it to protect myself, someone, or something? No. It's a last resort gun but pulling it out in public can become a weird situation.
Have I used it privately and outdoors? Yes. It's loud. If you hear it you won't think twice. What I like about it is the simplicity. My parents are not strong enough to rack my shotgun or the slide hammer on my hand gun. The byrna is perfect no recoil and good to go. What I like about the C02 cartridge is when you run out of rounds you can keep shooting blanks that make loud noises. I was able to shoot off my 5+1 rounds plus a additional 10 blank shots.
Carrying it is annoying but I use a man purse. I use a peak design sling bag. I find them used. I'm from California if you're curious.
@@OneManOnFire I'm in California too and considering buy two, one for me and one for my son after he was trapped on the Sprinter on his way home from his college classes by a drunk with a gun who took him and several other people hostage on the train. The local police when we called 911 (he'd discreetly texted us telling us what had happened and not to call his phone) told us that unless the guy draws his gun and opens fire, they can't do anything about it. They can't stop the Sprinter at one of the stops ahead of it or board the train at a stop to get the guy... So basically they won't do anything until the guy starts shooting someone??? Luckily the guy eventually got bored and got off the train at one of the stops. My son and the other people who couldn't get off because he was between them and the exit were terrified.
How effective are the Kinetic Projectiles at hitting the targets you shoot them at and would they have the stopping power to drop someone at less than 8 feet if they were armed in your opinion? We want him to feel safe when he takes the Sprinter and when he's on Campus, but he'll also have to take the Chemical Agent Certification from Byrna to carry the Pepperballs if he wants to have them.

Hi, please look at tippmann for how magazines works better, they have a way to only release the springs pressure when the mag goes into the marker so you don't loose all the ammo in a pouch

So I disassembled my byrna because I had to clean paint of the gun because I used paintballs thinking that it would work. I would really appreciate if you would make a video on how to put one back together I'm afraid of breaking it

The CO2 test fixture is interesting. I suggest you use something similar to spec out some N2 canisters we can use in cold weather.
I ordered one and they told me it will be shipped in 2 to 3 weeks
I ordered returned thought I had issue then saw online what I was doing wrong so I ordered another one except I ordered the new byrna hd xl longer barrel more round capacity and fires every time . Great option especially with dialed in laser sight. We live in crazy times and this thing is for real shot my fence and the wind blew that damn pepper spray all over indirect contact had me spraying hose on fence and dumping milk over face (which does help with burning). I had no idea they where hand made.
Send one to Italy! I pay double! Make that triple!

Byrna is definitely selling its less lethal HD Launcher. I have mine and I love it. I added the Boost extensions 12g CO2 and a crimson trace green dot laser. I need a IWB holster.
I had a long wait time (weeks) for ordering from the Byrna factory, but Amazon had it in stock & shipped Prime in 2 days.

Then did make a 12 g cartridge it doesn't come out till June.

I do like the idea of carrying one. I just can’t justify the price when I can buy a glock for the same price. I know they have it’s perks of having a Byrna like traveling and not going through court procedures like you would with a real gun or not taking a human life . Every time I think of buying one I see a 200 dollar paintball gun. I know I know it’s not a paintball gun but that’s what I see. The packaging is nice too really nice case too but still can’t justify it.
Nobody is holding a gun to your head saying you have to buy one. I think it's great and fills the gap between a real gun and less lethal. And if you ever got shoot by one of these you won't call it a paintball gun again. Enjoy the Glock.

Love Byrna, but am confused. I think all 4 of mine were made in China. And, am positive my rifle was made in China bc it has a "Made in China" sticker on it!
If Byrna was made in USA, why doesn't that claim appear anywhere on their website? I have a love hate relationship with them, that starts with the faulty trigger recall that was not a real recall, then the Byrna Max rounds going from approx $3 ea to near $7 ea in a year. Great idea! But the company structure, meaning customer service is not good.
When I offered to sell product and simply asked for a portal or some sort of credit toward product, meaning I don't need money to tell my neighbors about something that could prove beneficial to them, they responded by offering to sell me like $3,500 in product for approx $2,500.
Lol, that's just stupid. I don't want to get behind on launchers, and stuck with outdated stuff, meaning they change it frequently. I just wanted to get a little credit for selling a bunch of stuff.

The SD & Mission 4 will stop an agressor quick. Worth it if you can't own a firearm.

But I paid a little over $400 for the SD. Worth it so far.
And the Mission 4 was around $1000 but is a beast and super heavy hitter!!!
