One of the best lines ever " she is what moves in the soul of a dove" by one of the best bands ever!
DEEP PURPLE most best brilliant heavy metal band in the world 🌎, in my opinion!
Deep purple es el mejor en mucho tanto por su historia por su música viva el Rock
Deep Purple is one of the kings of hard rock/metal. Along with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath their a major influence on a lot of artists.
Deep purple are better than zep and Sabbath only a turd would disagree
I personally agree. I like all 3 of course. But Deep Purple is better.
Deep purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath were known as the trilogy of rock
@@TheZumph all three are fantastic. Why do we have to have a war over this. There's nothing wrong with people preferring one over the others, even if they disagree with your favorite. My favorite of the three is Zep, for example, but DP and Sabbath are close behind.
Deep Purple "Knocking at your backdoor" and "Perfect Strangers" are both fire too!
🤘😎🔥
Rob Squad reacted to 'Perfect Strangers' about 3 months ago.
or Black Night
The live version of “Child in Time” is a Deep Purple must listen. Ian Gillian at the absolute peak of his vocal prowess.
The best Deep Purple song there is imo
The incomparable Jon Lord. One of the finest keyboardists in rock history. Then of course Ian Paice on the drums is just amazing. Richie Blackmore has come to be known as a legendary guitarist, with Roger Glover on bass guitar. That just leaves those amazing vocals by Ian Gillan. Wow! What an incredibly talented group of musicians. Deep Purple has gone through many personnel changes, but this lineup is most definitely my favorite.
♥️✌🏼😎
Peak period for sure.
can u just imagine if gillian and blackmore got along and the mark 2 line stayed together!! they may have even eclipsed led zepplin
Best of all, not one of the best
Deep Purple ARE NO1 Always!
Deep purple really loved their time in Japan , hence this tribute to their Japanese fans . They were playing in Japan in the early 70s , this was only 26 years after the allies had dropped two A Bombs on the country and still greeted with sell out concerts and wonderful fans
You've probably noticed that 7Os rock bands were very versatile and capable of breaking the box yet still very much true to their own sound.
This was always one of my fav Deep Purple songs.
KNOCKIN AT YOUR BACK DOOR AND PERFECT STRANGERS (SONG ABOUT THEM REUNITING AFTER MANY YEARS) FROM THEIR REUNION ALBUM 1985 PERFECT STRANGERS. 2 GREAT SONGS
The reason Deep Purple riffs often have that extra heaviness is keyboardist Jon Lord's overdriven Hammond organ playing in unison with the guitar. Naturally, he also plays the piano part on this song. The guy is a legend and essential to the classic Deep Purple sound.
Deep Purple invented this sound!
Deep Purple was a band were you either liked them or hated them, you could take them or leave them. But one fact that can not be denied is that at one time in the mid to late 60s they where known as the loudest Band in the world. When you left a Deep Purple concrete your ears rang for hours.
Mid to late 60s? They were formed in 1968 and became a full-fledged hard rock band in 1970.
@@erikthompson619 thanks for spotting my date error even though it is irrelevant to the point of my post.👏👏👏
Takes me back 50 years........saw them with Uriah Heap...........such great bands!
Deep purple belongs on your wall! 😮 💜🤟
Ian Gillan of Deep Purple is one of the greatest singers of all time... He's 77 years old now, and still singing live for Deep Purple 🤘🤘
In his prime, he was up there w/ Robert Plant, Ronnie James Dio, Paul McCartney, Bon Scott, Paul Stanley, Steven Tyler... all the iconic voices of the day.
In his prime, he was much better than all the singers you listed.
@@ninoorjon Well now you've got a bit over the line. lol
No, he's not. Outside of Freddy Mercury, no rock band ever had a lead singer that could hold a candle to Ian Gillan.
@@musicfanatic5037 Perhaps it's preference, but I can name 5 very quickly that I would take over Ian: Plant, Freddie, Perry, Cornell, Tyler, Rodgers... There's more than 5.
And at least some huge respect for their drummer, IAN PAISE. He set the standard for hard rock drummers way back when.
Seen deep purple in 85,one of the best shows, the lazers and effects were grand and I seen the original band, blackfoot opened
I'm 63 and 90 percent of the music you play I grew up with.
People can argue about the best and who is better but for me. I grow up with Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Zeppelin all hitting it at one time. It's not about better. It's just some of the greatest music and artists of any generation. We were blessed
I couldn't have put it better, spot on mate.
Ian Gillan , one of the best rock singers of all time , he can sing anything , he even sang as Jesus on the original soundtrack of Jesus Christ Superstar , and it was Amazing
John lord the best 👌 good job deepest purple
Thank you for doing something different...that no one else has done...👍..👍..👍..👍..👍..👍..👍
Thank you for reacting to this song. I completely forgot about it. I literally haven't heard this song in about 40 years,

One of my absolute favorites
Child in Time
Kentucky Women
Black Night
Deep Purple is just a great rock band that had so many great hits. One of those albums that was played from start to finish. I hope "Kentucky Women" is your next pick. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️ ❤️ 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Child In Time (live version) is a MUST HEAR IT TO BELIEVE IT masterpiece.
Yeah....I don't know what they are waiting for. Child in time has been strongly suggested in the comments of every deep purple song they've reacted to. I just want to see the look on Jay's face
Got to be “ Child In Time”!!
@@lowracer1 Truly a masterpiece. Jordan would need oxygen by the end.
Start to finish..
Phenomenal.🎶🎶🎶 👍✌️🇨🇦
Strange Kind of Woman is another great Deep Purple tune
Ahhh the memories of crusin and blasting this song. 👍❤🤙
"knocking at your back door" is another good one from deep purple
This is probably one of their most popular songs! Love it❤
Jay n Amber you should have done the extended version its longer and you see them rocking their ASSES Off on the piano Love the early 70s Baby
dude i think their most popular song is Smoke on the water
@@userpal great one to
@@userpal It might be their most popular but Child In Time is a masterpiece
SPACE TRUCKIN'-DEEP PURPLE
🔈🔈🔈
My favorite from Deep Purple! My older brother was a big fan of the band in the 70's, so I was brought up on this.
Fun fact (for me, at least)....took my first vacation to Japan back in spring '15, and when arriving in Tokyo, I messaged my brother with, "Why am I reminded of Deep Purple right now?" He knew what I was thinking immediately....."DEEP PURPLE!" 😂
Space Truckin is one of the coolest songs ever.
I'm 64 & LOVE You Guys !! Your Reactions always seem to hit the nail on the head...I'm an Old R&R Chick...seen 57 bands in concert ... lots more than once...Got a Kick out of you seeing Foghat...was my 2nd concert 74-75 they opened for Peter Frampton....Met a lot of Bands By making stage clothes or friends in Bands...1st Best...a friend Rob Hyman ( in a band called The Hooters) was recording Time after Time with Cyndi Lauper...met her & we did Tequila shots..she was as FUN as you'd think !!....Thanks for the Great reactions!! They bring back the Best Memories!!...P.S. saw Deep Purple in 1976
I'm 64yrs old also and I love these beautiful young people. Taking me all the way back to my teens and early 20's. Amazed with all the stuff you put in your brain over many years you remember every note every word. Knowing what is coming and watching them react to it for the first time is awesome.
That's awesome. If you saw deep purple in 1976 then you saw the come taste the band tour with Tommy Bolin and the coverdale/Hughes Era. Which was a fantastic album.
I'm only 36 but I've seen deep purple 19 times myself. Love them.
@@rockstaa13 Not sure who opened...they guy bought the tickets ... our 1st date && 1st time I smoked Pot...We got lost on way & got there just in time to hear Purple starting as we walked in door...LOL..

Piano by the brilliant Jon Lord...who usually plays the Hammond organ
Deep Purple. That's all that needs to be said. \m/ \m/
Jay you like the 70s WAAAAAAAY MORE THAN YOU LET ON LOL
From Air Supply to Deep Purple. See? This is why I love you two!!
One of my favorites!
Jon Lord was the best keyboard man in the business!
Jon lord was amazing on keyboards “playin” the rhythm guitar parts especially in “smoke in the water”
Jon Lord is totally killing it on that banging honky tonk piano. I normally think of him playing his Hammond Organ through a marshall stack for tons of eardrum-wrecking power and distortion but in this he utilizes the piano and it's so wonderful.
The lead track from the last album of the Mark 2 lineup and, IMHO, their best studio album. I played this album to death!!!
Jon Lord is arguably one of the top 5 keyboard players ever.
I love that you say it's the guitar riff, when in fact the riff is mostly played by Jon Lord on his Hammond Organ running through a overdriven/distortion Marshall (guitar) Amplifier. Love it. Jon Lord was a phenomenal organ, piano, and synthesizer player. I actually cried the day he died. RIP Jon Lord. He was just as critical to their sound as Ritchie Blackmore was on guitar.
Nicely said. Agree heartily. Jon Lord reached up to play keys as he passed. A true legend.
Rift? Lol
@@KneeJerkReactions13 was thinking the same!
You a smart guy the most guitar players I know constantly think that like Smoke on the Water and other things that were supposed to be guitar riffs were Richie Blackmore you're the first one I've seen that got it right good job
Very well said Francis! A lot of people totally miss the fact that a lot of the riffs are Jon Lord on the organ. He is that good. Lord and Blackmore teaming up with Gillian over the top is always something special.
OH WOW!!! You got the right version. Love that cymbal, work. Outstanding!!!
Ian Paice had the best cymbal and hi-hat work in rock.
Jon Lord came in just right with that piano roll ..The is one of the best DP songs with a great outro , Ritchie knew how to blend it all in and not over do it with the guitar..
Back to my rock and roll road trip music!
Love Deep Purple.
Smoke on the water played at my Junior High graduation dance.
Way back in... YEAH never mind...
Deep Purple - Child in Time
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Trippy 60s mushroom music is awesome
Nothing better than some classic Deep Purple and guitar from Ritchie Blackmore.. Thank you for considering it.
Must listen and react to “Highway Star”. A true DP classic!!!
All in for Deep Purple so if you want to rock out, try an underrated and overlooked band; Uriah Heep and their song, Stealin' and you will not forget it.
Really need to listen to Deep purple perfect stranger. It's amazing
Jesus, I have not heard that song in at least 40 years. Happy to revisit.......
Ian Gillian..great vocalis!
Deep Purple has many great songs and their album Machine Head is a killer. Highway star and Space Truckin’ are two of my favourites
Highway Star is so aptly named. My foot tends to push harder on the accelerator when it comes on my car stereo.
When the blind man cries, maybe im a leo is great too
The late great Jon Lord on Organ had been there one of the Founding members along with Ian Paice on drums and Ritchie Blackmore on Guitar. Just the piano playing for him is a rarely he mostly had the organ use sound. Makes this song unique
DP rocks hard. Asian women are the *bomb*. My fave DP song.🤟
Deep Purple holds a special place in my heart. First live concert I ever went to.
Jay n Amber I bagged you a couple times to react to this Huge early 70s Hit , Smoke on the water from 1972 is another huge hit by them you loved it The 70s Amber OOOOO YAAAAH
This is just a perfect rock song!
😳oh wow guys
1 of the signatures of Deep Purple is the organ / piano / keyboard work of Jon Lord (RIP).
I was SO lucky to be into music when all of this was new and just coming out! 😊
DP is still the greatest band in the world. Next year there will be yet another album with new music from them. Plesae do a reaction to one of the newer songs. Something of the album "Woosh" that came out in 2020 would be great.
This entire album Machine Head is fire.
My first crush was a Japanese girl in my kindergarten class. maybe that's why I've always loved this song so much, LOL!
Classic Banger!!!
Lazy is a groove. My favorite song from Deep Purple
Nice! Great to see you do this one. One of my favorite Deep Purple tunes. Cheers!
I worked for the local newspaper the Leicester Mercury in the early nineties, and my Line Manager shared that he knew Jon Lord, he lived in his street I believe; anyhoo he said he and his mates used to call round to ask if Jon wanted to come out and play footy; Jon's Mum used to say he was busy practising piano; he couldn't understand why Jon didn't want to at least sometimes play football; years later by chance he bumped in to Jon, went to his mansion and saw his Rolls-Royce outside, beautiful beast it was; he said he understood then, and understands completely why Jon was so focussed on the thing he was good at; he said "Here's me scraping a living, always fighting to keep the wolves from the door, and theres Jon, having done what he loves, comfortable and worry-free; good on 'im, just wish I'd done something like that!"
I also get that, Jon Lord was astonishing as a player, but there are few who can do what he did!!
Amber with her 70s groove on!!!...I love it!...lol..Deep Purple are in the rock n roll hall of fame...they are my boyhood hard rock idols..I saw them live in 1974 when I was 16...I still have not forgotten that show...more Deep Purple please..
One of the first "metal" bands...before "Metal" was even coined...
The classic interplay between Ritchie Blackmore (Original Guitarist) & the late very much missed Jon Lord on Hammond organ & piano was the soul of Deep Purple.
Loved Deep Purple for over fourty years , they are my favorite !! That is Jon Lord on organ/piano , amazing artist , too bad we lost him a few years ago !! Deep Purple always has a mix of organ and guitar , if you want to check out Jon Lord's crazy finger work , then you gotta hear RAT BAT BLUE , he goes super fast on his solo , it will blow your mind how fast he can play !!! Or if you want a totally different sound from them , then try Anyone's Daughter !! Anything else from DEEP PURPLE is always cool too !! Fireball ,, Lazy ,, Space Truckin ,, Burn ,, but if you check out SPEED KING , you should put your seatbelt on !!!
This is the song that you play as loud as you can , be in front of the woofer, so you can experience the wave compressions on your chest.

Do the one Live from Seoul Korea 1995. Ian Gillan lead singer vocal will blow you a way..
"Highway Star" is a song that might get you a speeding ticket😁
I’m 65 years old you two make me happy. So full of love n joy. Playfulness. The world is a good place. With youngsters like you
February 2nd, 1985, Richfield Coliseum.
Me and three friends from high school are at their "Perfect Strangers Tour", second row, center stage. I was able to get good seats because one of my sisters was in the Belkin Ticket Club. And I didnt tell them. I told them we were in the second row on the first level, on the side of the stage. They freaked out when I handed them our tickets when we got to the doors.
Best concert I ever saw! My ears rang for 2 days.
Jon Lord, the keyboard player, was less than 15 feet in front of me, surrounded by multiple keyboards, ROCKING them (figuratively and literally) back and forth. I have an 8x10 of him in action in my rock and roll dining room.
I was looking up at them, waiting for them to topple over and possibly crush us.
The music critic, legendary Jane Scott who wrote for newspapers and Rolling Stone Magazine, was sitting 2 seats away.
It was really an amazing night... :)
This is from a killer album. Rat Bat Blue, Place In Line, Our Lady, Super Trouper!
Jon Lord... keyboards awesome.
Deep Purple is always worth a listen and thanks for doing one from an underappreciated album, great song. To hear them utterly cut loose, try either Highway Star live from Made in Japan or if you heard it already, try from Made in Europe, try the live You Fool No One, one of Ritchie Blackmore's best solos ever. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Make no mistake. This was a band made up of top of the shelf musicians. Child In time (live 1970) is a must if one wants to fully appreciate their talents.

This was released in 1973 let that sink in for a moment. It's bittersweet for me even though the music is still stellar all my friends I hung out with and listened to this with are all gone now. RIP GUY'S
I know Smoke on the Water has the iconic riff and is considered their 'Stairway. This is my favorite Deep Purple song.
That piano is played by the late,, great Jon Lord, an absolute keyboard genius, and truly the nicest man I ever met.........and I've met Dave Grohl!
Just went back to re-visit your reaction to Deep Purple doing 'My Woman From Tokyo' a year ago. You need to hear "Child in Time" - the one (possibly recorded in1970) in front of a very reserved audience. In that particular clip, you see the band.
Jon Lord on keyboards. He usually plays organ.
love them. first concert '72 when I was 13. Love 'Pictures of Home' and 'Rat Bat Blues' as well!
