If you make and post a spaceship made after the tips presented in this tutorial, please add #alphaspaceship hashtag so I can check it out.
I'm really interested in how you approach the subject! And let me know what you want covered in the next Blender tutorial.

      @@withercreeper8465 Hi there!
Now the project file must be oke to download! As for the alpha maps, import the bump map into photoshop and ad a curve effect and crank the values until you remain with clean white and black colors, then delete the black colors and save the image as PNG with transparency.

This is the first time I've ever seen anyone use this alpha blending technique in over a year of learning Blender. It's so simple, lightweight, and effective. It's one of those things that is so obvious now that I know about it I can't believe it never occurred to me before.

I can't tell you how frustrating and satisfying it is to see this. Here this whole time I'm thinking I'm a terrible artist and that everyone else must be some kind of genius that individually creates every single smidgen of detail in their models, only to come to realize (And recognize) how most of em are just using something like this.
Thank you. I learned more in the first 4 minutes than I ever thought I needed and it's amazing.
