Can you make a tutorial on how you made the first shot? I'd like to know the process for getting that camera, lighting and background.
It would really help people in creating cool similar shots.
Thank you so much, you are amazing.

4:22 "and if you wanna download this sh!t..." hahahhaha ok, I know... ship. Yeah, this is nice and I need to check into that bool tool. Booleans dont seem to work for me just using a shape to cut cuz it screws up the topology and makes crimping etc. anyway, thanks!

Booleans are tricky, but if you look closely you can see that I have some issues on the model as well, but think of it as a sculpture you're as details onto a low poly model. The high poly model's topology doesn't matter all too much, so long as it's generally not creating artifacts and "looks" clean, then you only need to worry about the low poly topology. The High poly is only to create normal and AO textures for the low poly, where the high poly details are baked on. Hope this helps, I know it's a bit wordy lol!!

@skilllanoodle thx. I haven't gotten far enough to worry about baking a Hi res thing. I managed to smooth ok with auto smooth but my round edge where I cut with uv sphere was too segmented. After I autosmoothed I couldn't figure out a good way to add more curvature without adding tons of loop cuts and manually pulling them all in place. I guess the motto is you need to model with high poly and then decimate down to low poly later once you're done sculot8ng or modeling. But then I say people starting off with just cubes. Trying to do everything, but using a curve as a boolean cutter doesn't seem to work very well. But then I didn't follow any tutorial. I just thought This booltool would handle those problems. So I'm confused at all This redundancy in blender. What's the difference between The Boolean modifier And booltool. ?

@@skilllanoodle I think Im 6 weeks into using Blender. Ive dabbled with graphics before and tried zbrush w/o tutorials and felt like I was being asked to understand an alien spaceship w/o an owner's manual. I mean, I managed to sculpt alright but I did NOT understand that multires thing they had in there beyond if I click more levels I get more detail but then... I didnt understand why anyone would want to go BACK to lower levels. ? This was like 15 years ago or something. I just recently saw some vids on blender and thought to give it another try cuz I did try it maaaany years ago and for some reason it just seemed way way too difficult and involved. my prob is I don't do one task enough to memorize it and I watch 50 tutorials from scattering to hard surface modeling to ocean animations... I'm WATERING myself down too much and I also didn't make my own shortcut cheatsheet. Hard to recall all those alt-this and shift-that. I'm not 20 anymore like most of the people uploading tutorials and pics/animations. sometimes I get a eureka moment and it clicks and then I go ooooooooh @#$@#$@##$ it's on now. heheh then I get all these ideas about how I could do X or Y or Z. see what I did there? okay, well, thanks for your replies. I spent 15 years on my YT channel doing music vids and religion vids. 300,000 subs but I closed that one for uploads and I''m going to make a new channel but I will just upload stuff I want and be rather anonymous. Maybe I'll upload some voice acting stuff there too. I need to buckle down and force myself to learn to APPLY ALL TRANSFORMATIONS about 1000 times so I don't get burned every day forgetting to do that. that bool tool... isn't it just the one that comes with BLender? I see bool tool in addons. I enabled it but I don't understand the difference or why that is better than boolean modifier. Modifier at least is non--destructive, yes? I am trying to absorb too much!!! haha later

Hey wonderful tutorial as usual i actually used your first spaceship tutorial to build a spaceship its was alright , but as u said it didnt look as real the textures where off non the less i enjoyed it , however could you also make a tutorial on hard surface modelling ? Cause my ship really lacks it it just looks basic and plane and bland i like how this ship came out as it actually looked real and used , with hard surfaces and grooves , i have no idea on how to do any of that , none the less excellent video loved it ill be making a space ship using it thanks 🖤

My new tutorial goes into how you can use sculpture to actually get all of those details rather easily: ua-cam.com/video/upSncpKQ8-s/v-deo.html
If you're looking for a harder edged look however booleans should work really well. I'd suggest downloading the Bool Tool Addon, it helps a ton with adding booleans quickly! Hope this helps!
