- I build this quick and easy steel plate grill so we all can cook outside. Also a quick note: NEVER use your angle grinder without a guard like I did! It’s dangerous!

Impressed you still have all your fingers, without a glove in sight.
That circle cutting jig with the grinder 🤯. Sweet project, Laura!
Thanks! Yeah, the best tricks are the simple ones
I love to watch you design from found objects. It’s such a different process than starting with a blank page. Thanks Laura!
WAT!!?!! That bit with the welding wire circle cutting jig was BRILLIANT!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Love this build! You're a very creative person. I always enjoy watching your content! And I've never seen your grill version anywhere before. Very cool!
I made an excited noise when you cut out that circle! Brilliant idea. I have to cut out a circle from 5mm plate tomorrow, so I'll be stealing that trick. Genius!
Laura the method you used for determining the perfect circumference was MENSA smart! I am waiting with great anticipation for future videos!
The circle jig was cool! Making a large flat surface was GENIUS! I Always love what comes from your head Laura. ❤️
Luv the way you work with your hands - no gloves :D... I do the same. Definitely will take a course in welding and metal processing with you. Blessings.
MIG wire circle cutting jig = POW! MIND BLOWN! Also really love the up-cycled materials.
You are my favorite MAKER A lot of makers run out and buy this and buy that but you look around and see what's
In a scrap pile and then your mind goes to work ..lol GREAT VIDEO :-):-)
Slick Circle cutting jig! Will have to save that idea in my back pocket. Looks like it works great and I'm sure little improvements will come with time. Really enjoying all these little projects Laura!
Laura, the angle grinder jig is fantastic!! Lady you are a one of a kind!!!
Excellent idea using TIG wire as a protractor to cut the radius with the grinder!! Nice work Laura.
That circle cutting technique 👌 Well done Laura, and I’m loving all the 10 maker videos!
The angle grinder circle cutter idea was brilliant! I’ve actually been racking my brain trying to figure out how I would accomplish that same thing. Awesome build!!
I love videos like this because my brain is so abstract that things like this make my gears turn fast and I immediately start thinking of how to make it better. Thank you for the brain seeds!
Nice upcycle Laura! I like the tip about using the potatoes in addition to the salt and olive oil. Learned something today! Happy grilling and making 😎
I am very tempted to try this, I have an old oil drum and a few rims lying around. Thanks for the video, the whole 10 makers thing has been great.
Awesome build Laura. Really love that idea too, giving me ideas for my garden now.
will be rebuilt! With you in Cologne I was allowed to get to know and appreciate this cooking, grill device. very good idea and great implementation. I have the most beautiful memories of the 10 makers event❤️
Wow!!!!! I love how you work!!! Fabulous love all the great ideas!!!
I love the fact that you explain everything as you go. Love you for that.😁
As always, brilliantly simple design!! I was previously unaware that the proper way to season the plate steel top of a grill is to make extra crispy potato chips!! Enjoy the new shop!
I've never seen that circle-cutting technique before but I love it!
The best part about getting a shop with no shower or stove is that you get to make you own! Cheers, and thanks for the awesome vids.
I, too, loved the 'Wire/Angle cutter trick. I was also inspired by the Grill idea.
I love the angle grinder circle cutting jig! And now you can easily have food for the crowd! I love the whole idea of the 10 makers and all the projects and videos. It's such an awesome display of this amazing and wonderful community! I can't wait for the next one!
Figments Made Ditto!!
I was just coming to say the same thing about the method for cutting the circle. Brilliant.
Killer work! Love the circle cutting jig. Can’t wait to finish the series.
Bravo! Fabulous job, minimal tools, quick & super useful, aesthetic & a entertaining centre piece! Thanks for sharing!
That bolt in the middle with the copper that went to the angle grinder was GENIUS. I'm stealing that idea for sure!!
Awesome grill, awesome technique, wonderful work. And the huge plate is a great idea too, looks like a Feuerring but more mad max style
That looks like a versatile grill. Elegant build as always Laura.
This has been such a fun series!! I want to see more things like this from the community!
Me too!!!
Me three! I second, third and forth that this motion be passed! This is one awesome community and I love to see it in action!😁👍
That fish looks delicious 👍 🐟
Wieder was gelernt, danke.
Hell yeah!! Was so awesome to cook on. Brilliant, simple, and effective.
Grill marks bud...
I love this, and I love all your videos! You and your work are creative and inspiring, please keep doing what you do!
So cool to see the energy around having a new workshop !
I'm loving this whole 10 Maker idea. It's been a joy to watch. And as always, I really appreciate that you used "junk" to make a wonderfully useful item!
The circle cutting trick is a fantastic idea...
I love your work laure it's awesome any project u it's all awsome
Another great video! The wire compass for the grinder is epic!
Everything except axe technique is great. This is a nice and easy build, and I especially like the circle cutting trick.
She rented that axe. You can't hurt a rental axe.
Cool project , i would like to see a guard on that grinder , just to be safe ! An the grill came out great .
Be safe , GRINDERS are the cause of most accidents on construction sites . Great videos .
Mike Espo , Safety First .....SSM.....
its okay, all 'makers' are protected against harm by their own super power - arrogance. no need for sleeves to protect against welding uv burns or guards on grinders. I can't wait until one of these makers from the clique community get seriously injured one of these days. They're all a complete disaster when it comes to safety. rarely see a single one that I would let loose on a job site or on the shop floor.
@@joeshaft I agree .
Well done and I like the way in which you’ve seasoned the grill surface
I’m so bummed that i couldn’t try the new grill! BTW love the MIG wire circle cutting jig! And the plate seasoning is a thing that i didn’t knew about! Thanks for sharing!
I think I would have made a door from the barrel side that you cut. Oh…and you’re killing me with grilling whole fish. Delish!
Why can't I find a lady like this. Beautiful and smart. Great video
Respect for your skills! So cool to watch
I’m so jealous I want to come and hang out with you all. You always come up with the most awesome ideas. Great video.
Die Frau ist einfach super. :)
Mach weiterso.
That was so nice, looks not difficult and the music was bangin'!!!
That angle grinder trick is 2000 IQ
One of my favorites of your builds.
This is the best simple grill design, the plate plus grill makes it super useful.
awesome job Laura. You truly are an amazing woman.Keep up the awesome work that you do on your channel.Thank you for showing us.We love you ❤️
Your idea is very amazing!
I'm always enjoying your video!
A thing of beauty, pretty badass build.
awesome build, very cool
Wooh Laura, Flex ohne Schutz geht net.
Laura Kampf this is just amazing great work thanks for creating this video you Rock....Keep up the great work you do....A+A+A+A+
Nice technology for the circle 👍👍! But the protection is missing, you only have 10 fingers 😳😳😳
After all she got also 10 fingers... in the discription you can find also a warning about not to use the angelgrinder without a guard ;)
so you can do this at least 10 times, right? :P
Sascha it's bits of disc in your face that you need to worry about. Those discs shatter every now and again.
Totally agree, the circle jig is such a good idea but without a guard I cringed watching it... cutoff discs like that shatter if you bind them in a cut and I can’t think of a better way to do so than a curved cut. The camera person is in danger here also with most of the angles they’re shooting from... I literally shattered a disc yesterday and only found 1/4 of it (don’t know where the rest went) and that was with a guard. I had two people standing near me working and without it they could have copped a fragment to the face or anywhere really... this is not an instance where the guard would be in the way and can’t see the reason for not having it...
Great video and love your stuff Laura! I’m just worried about you 😫😘
She got safety tie on...
I know what you mean about deciding to work on things when it is too hot. I had the forge up heat treating a knife yesterday. It was 92F and the forge is around 2300F
Let the deliciousness begin.
Well done, Laura!
I love your projects.
Cut off disks + cutting angles without a face mask = a bad time! I've had them explode if they get bound up in the least. Be safe Laura!
Big grill - great concept.
10 Makers - even better concept!
I’m all about Use What You Got , nice spare parts pile you have. -Eric.
Bon travail 👍 toujours aussi belle et sympa 😘
You can still do all those cuts with the grinder guard on, keep looking for a thicker plate at least 12 mm because yours will buckle bad. Enjoy your work
Boss idea Laura. You got some skills girl. This was also published on my birthday yesterday. Super cool. Lol. ;)
Happy birthday
So many safety police! 🤣 Cool idea on the grill 👍
What a great way to cut out the circle! Genius!!!
Love it ! .... & I'm loving this 10 makers series. Thanks for sharing & have a great vacation, Laura :)
Brava Laura!!! Nice project and great video!!!
This is an awesome build. Great job.
Really cool, can't wait to see what else you build!
A True Junk Hunter Build!! I love it, easily modular in case of moving or needing to replace a part.
An axe is not a baseball bat. Hands should start apart and come together like many similarly handled tools. Don't let the axe blade touch the dirt, use a round of wood. An advanced user can twist the axe as it just enters the wood, blowing it apart with a combination of force and extra leverage while keeping the edge out of the ground even without a splitting block. There's even a video on UA-cam of a barefoot woman in a dress achieving this, granted using a double bit. For splitting you may want to consider a splitting axe or maul. Wedges are for big and tough rounds but can also be used to harvest certain long pieces of wood.
An advanced user can also use their axe to consistently light matches that are stuck upright into the top of the chopping block, so they can also chop twice (or as many times as necessary) into the same split line. Anybody who chops an axe into the dirt never had to chop firewood for their own cooking and heating. They probably also never had to sharpen that axe to a razor edge. Damn the kids these days!
@@AnttiNannimus1 That axe they were using probably didn't even come shipped with the final edge either but for splitting thats fine. However they probably never touched it or looked at it, nor know how to properly sharpen an axe. One can use the end grain of a splitting block as a field strop if leather isn't present to maintain a hair shaving edge longer during use if the steel is high quality.
I enjoy your videos so much, awesome project
Great video!!! Thank you for an amazing idea ❤️
I like the way you cut that steel plate...👩🔧
Neat idea, cutting the circle. But that is also very dangerous without having a guard on the grinder. Especially when putting a side load on the cutoff disc itself.
Not sure how I ended up here but I’m glad I did! Amazing build!! I’m subscribing now 😀
It’s great to see your wearing safety glasses awesome job
Alas, no guard on the angle grinder...
Those are hardly safety glasses. plus like Steffen said below... that 5" zip cut is going to hurt when it breaks and she has no guard.
Awesome video Laura! (as usual) I especially liked the trick for cutting the circle with the angle grinder!
Thanks Miles!
Awesome job Laura! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Nice seasoning with potatoes makes for nice grill chips :)
Very cool and simple!!
Godzilla!!!! this is awesome...thank you for the video.
If you're going to keep using firewood as a source of heat for the shower and for cooking, you might want to find a chopping stump to save your back and the edge of your axe. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
This is awesome. Definitely going to try and assemble one. Thanks.
Cool build I like the design
