I agree 100 percent. 25 year pipefitter and Dwalt has served me the best. I put Porter Cable one or 2 steps above Ryobi. I've dropped them all from as high as 25 feet... Dewalt survived the longest.

@@HoustonKilby impact I must say pretty awesome it's light weight very fast and powerful. Brushless Drill is good either very light no complains about it
I've been a big fan of DeWalt for years. I'm still using the same old 18V stuff I purchased in 2003-2004. Been wanting to step up to the 20V LiIon stuff but hard to justify since my antique (almost) stuff still works so good. Just had to buy a couple batteries here and there. I used them everyday for work for 12 years straight and still going. Around the garage I prefer the 2 18V impact drivers over the hammer drill. Lighter and faster. Once I bought a drill bit set that uses the 1/4" hex drive as well as a couple units. I really havent had a use for the drill unless I need to put a hole in concrete!

I completely understand!! My hammer drill does have the function to turn off and on so it’s nice when I need to hang something up on a block wall or just put it on normal drilling function for normal usage. For sure very happy with the quality of dewalt I was worried at first that maybe I’m just paying for the name but after I used Blaine’s drill I was sold. That’s interesting you brought up preference of the impact over the drill. Do you like yours better just because of the quick change bits? I’m starting to use mine more then my drill as well.
It's just more convenient and gets more done. Its lighter, drives and unsrews/unbolts faster and easier and doesnt have any kickback when I use it drill. I use the drill when i need to use specific drill bits that o dont have in the 1/4" hex bit. Such as when I need to drill a hole I need to tap. The one thing that got me using the impact over the drill was when I used to install flooring. I used to have to sink a lot of 2-2 1/2" screws in plywood sub floors and cement board and impact had more torque, got it done faster and didnt kill the battery as quick.

I live in a very small town Brevard Nc. that has a Lowes and nothing else, 5 or 6 years ago when the cordless 20v tools came out it was Porter Cable and that was it, so i bought every tool they had and i use them everyday as a remodeling Contractor . I know that PC has there limits so i don't push them to hard and they work, but there tool selection is weak compared to the other brands and the price is great, but there is a big problem with Porter Cable they are now discontinued and replaced with Craftsman brand. This is a SAD day for me and the other PC owners. This company let us down so I'll be switching to Makita
