“ THIS IS REALISTIC “ Thank you for actually showing what Coconut Condensed milk looks like and not click baiting showing regular cloudy dairy condense milk creating unrealistic expectation like all the bigger channels have.
This is late, but... THANK YOU! My tummy cannot handle dairy! I'm trying to find options without dairy to make treats for the family, because they're also lactose intolerant. This was very helpful, thank you! 😊👍
I was thinking of just taking some vegan coffee cream and thickening it w/cornstarch for a replacement. I need for making pumpkin pie... Thanks for posting. 😊
Do they do the Chicken Dance at weddings where you are from? I automatically started humming, dadadadadadaDA dadadadadadaDA da da da DA! I've seen the recipe for coconut milk condensed milk, but never another one because, I assumed, the binders added to carton milk prevent condensing. Good to know I was wrong! Thanks For Posting : )
HAHAH! Yes they do and that's immediately what I thought of after I stopped laughing so hard. And yes! We had to try with other versions! The oat milk is our second favorite way.
Would this also work with homemade vegan milk? Like for example nut milk? I’ve tried with homemade oat milk before and no matter how low I turn the simmer it always burns. :( What am I doing wrong?
Make It Dairy Free Maybe it would help for me to know if you go with a low heat from the start or dissolve the sugar without heat, or...? I will try it again as well. Fifth time’s a charm? 😅
What is it that homemade plant milks aren't emulsified hence having to shake the milk before pouring bc it separates and less thick. Store bought has extra ingredients added which aids in giving it a longer shelf life plus the thickener (emulsifier) Maybe you can purchase a more natural emulsifier like soy or sunflower lecithin, add it to the homemade milk then try making the condensed recipe. I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I make a variety of plant based milks and although I have yet to buy the lecithin, I've researched finding a way for me to not have to keep shaking my jars everytime we use the milks. Hope this helps.
For a recipe i'm going to do tomorrow I need to reduce 4 cans of coconut milk into condensed milk. The guy in the other video said that I must simmer it for about 45 minutes. After 35 minutes I got insecure so I searched and found your video, so here I am..... and you are saying tra 75 minutes are needed for ONLY ONE CAN.... I will finish the next month T^T
Hi! The video is old but I hope I get a response. At the end of your blog, it says “store in fridge for at least 2 weeks”, does this mean I need to keep it in the fridge for 2 weeks before using it? Thank you! :)
@@MakeItDairyFree hey, guys! 💖💖💖 i’ve been doing this recipe for 9 months now and even made some for friends bcos it’s hard to find vegan condensed where I am. 🥹💖 so thank you!!!
Does it taste like coconut? Dont get me wrong. I love coconuts, but just not in my creamy desserts. I’ve tried the almond milk, it tastes like simple syrup. 😢 i’m really looking for that creamy condensed milk.
I tried coconut milk and sugar and it turn out like sweet coconut oil, a complete fail. This is not a good recipe for condensed milk ;unless you have no idea what the real thing taste like.
I'm not understanding the ratio of sugar to the milk. 🤔 How much sugar to how much milk? (Grams or universal cups) Would it be possible to use coconut cream as well instead of the milk? And if so, how much sugar? I read your post on your blog, but it doesn't use measurements, only by cans. So I would highly appreciate if you could elaborate more on grams or cups. Thanks! Other than that, your explanation is very well explained.
As far as I'm aware, most of the time it's not labeled vegan. You would need to buy organic sugar to make sure it's vegan (Edit: I didn't know this comment was 3 years old, so sorry for any spam 😅)

LIFESAVING, just like anything else vegan! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you for this video, because canned vegan sweetened condensed milk is expensive. I absolutely love your channel and recipes!
Thanks so much for watching, we're glad you found it helpful
Wow. Yummy. I want to see more ingredients - vegan style - that can be made from scratch. Like butter, whipped cream, cream cheese, eggs, etc.
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll keep adding more. Our new breakfast prep video has cashew cream cheese in it.
Vegan eggs? Lmao WTF!
Love this channel. The recipes are so simple. Thank you for sharing.😊
Glad you like them!
Thank you for this. Subscribed for the no dairy ice cream :)
Made this today for Tofurkey Day, thanks for the easy guide! 🌱

creamy oat or soy

Can i put coconut sugar? (I'm eating paleo as much as possible)
yes
Can I use monk fruit or Erythritol instead of the vegan sugar or does both of them count as vegan sugar?
We haven't tried those types of sugars
Can I use honey instead of refined white sugar? then homemade oat milk from gluten free rolled oats?
We're vegan, so we haven't tested honey

What is vegan sugar?
We're in the US where a lot of sugar is processed through bone char making it not vegan friendly. We like to make sure people know what we are using

is it only me or where they mention amount of sugar? I only get that it's 1 canned coconut milk (size?) or 2 cups of vegan milk.

Why aren’t the sugar measurements mentioned?
Depends on how sweet you want it to be.
Just want I needed! The sound is just so bad!
