Just redesign the pedal Plates. The holes in it hurt your feet when using it with socks. A 3D printet cover is a easy fix. otherwise the pedals are really really great.
Welcome to the party! I'm using these pedals and I love them. I also 3D printed some little caps for the screw holes. It really helped with the comfort when using only socks. If you want some let me know and I'll see about getting some to you. I mounted mine to the pedal plate and the seat/pedal slider. Talk about adjustability! I didn't need to adjust them very mush out of the box as I am currently using a homemade wooden seat/pedal base as my "rig" so I get a little flex and I'm probably not getting absolute true feedback from the pedals. Hopefully I'm upgrading soon. Maybe when I'm back to work... had open heart surgery on Sept 11, 2024. Off until early December. But after a year, I truly love the pedals and have had no issues at all.
Personally I don't get excited about much hardware, as my set up is at final form, until something fails and needs replacing. However I love to see all the new stuff regardless, brilliant to see SimLab expanding their portfolio excited to see what else they have to come.
I would be similar if I wasn’t in my position. In fact I came from a mindset of “what I have is decent, why should I bother upgrading” and that’s where the channel was born. I try not to lose that but it’s easy to get desensitised to high end hardware 😂😂😂
I personally will not recommend at least until Laurence dont investigate further this brake pressure drop off problem at 13.30 on the video. This actually can cost you performance.
Believe me ive tried telling people! Lol the biggest complaint from people i see is the location of the pins on the bottom but man these pedals are goated. But yeah the invicta pedals are def stiffer imo lol. But these are just perfectly setup out of the box tbh. These pedals US are 500 dollars for the dual set. Its a steal. Also wow that invicta here with that car was going a bit wild! Love to see it. You could def see you were having fun with this combo. These pedals tbh have one of the best progressive feelings ive felt.
Have had em six months or so now and haven’t looked back. Paired with the SM haptics, it’s doesn’t get much better. I run the slightly stiffer elastomer, think it’s the 60.
Hey Laurance, my understanding from this video is that the Sim Lab XP-1 pedals perform really well out of the box with essentially no setup required. How does the Simagic P1000 pedals compare once they setup and "dialed in" so to speak. Are they similar or is there a definitive difference between the them? Thanks.
I'll be looking to upgrade from the V3s. Investigated the P1000s (hydraulic upgrade and haptics) and VRS Pro pedals. I just want a rly good performance, it will take a long time until active pedals reach mass markets. But now simlab releases these pedals. Recently gt1evo rig and for me it is so incredibly great. The V3s aren't the greatest but they are quite simple and not much to adjust, I've found the max performance I can get out of them without needing to go overboard with constant adjustments. (which is tiring also, accessing a corner of the room moving the cockpit messing around it's bothersome)
They look cool and were on my list for when I needed new pedals. Went with VX-Pro pedal instead because I did not want elastomer based pedals. I think the VX-Pro and the XP-1's both deserve more attenttion but I think we have this thing with sim racing where we might have to many of everything. I feel like at this price point it becomes a "whatever you get is going to be fine" sort of thing and your not really going to see a benefit from the one over the other pedal set. Only personal preference.
Yeah hahaha there’s a lot of excellent choice out there 😅😅😅 it’s difficult being a reviewer too. The truth is that I’d be happy with most pedal sets out there. But these represent great value.
Right now it’s the simtrecs pedals. But there are many pedals which I have never reviewed which people also love: VRS, heusinkveld ultimate +, and many others.
Yes! I love it! It would be absolutely perfect as a set and forget rig. It’s a lot more challenging as a review rig though as I’m constantly adjusting stuff and unfortunately causing quite some scratches.
Why? Because other influencers are bought and paid for. I've had mostly every set of pedals that are on the market now and these are probably one of the best especially for the price. These are $1000 pedals all day easily. They're my new permanent set. And you are way off about the quality of the pedals, way off. 🤦 Socks is not more comfortable, a nice comfy set of loafers or Racing shoes with compression socks is way more comfortable.
I think that’s unfair towards other ‘influencers’ to be honest. As for the quality. It’s just the smoothness and finish. I’m sure they’re plenty strong but I also said the feel and look is relatively unimportant once they’re mounted. As for comfort, people are allowed to have opinions :) someone’s opinion is not to be mistaken for fact.
I got a message from someone who did the transition and liked it. Honestly though, I don’t think it would be worth it unless you are curious and can afford to try both side by side. But short answer: no. I usually recommend that people invest some time in tuning or tweaking their existing pedals to make them even better.
@LaurenceDusoswa I take mine apart and wipe WD-40 . It works better than lithium grease etc . Just my experience and it's pretty much the throttle pedal
@@LaurenceDusoswa if you still have these....could you just test if you can replace elastomer with a spring? i bought my springs from some other store and it worked, but with these pedals dimensions are different
I cant understand how you can pay 650-7000 euro for pedals + 160 Euro for pedal plate and have to solve problems that producer overlooked and a are well known in the community. This elastomer relaxation problem actually can cost you performance. On Fanatec CSL Elite V2 with 3 smaller elastomers and spring this problem dont exist and you even have more options for adjusting the brake feel (Trough 3 elastomers with different strength.)
@@LaurenceDusoswa i have heavy brake and calibrated in a way that did, because tge pressure was going doen even if i held it 80%, with a spring i could easily hold 80. Thats my only concern with elastomers. Usually u can swap them for springs, but these pedals have that weird shape
@@Gorilla_Jones other than the fact he mention he used the moza CRP pedals and the simagic p1000 and now those sim lab. I simply asked which of the 3where best in his opinion. So it kinda did 😂

Great review. These are definitely on my radar now for when I am ready to upgrade from my CSL pedals.
These are a forever upgrade as far as I’m concerned.
I've been using these for a few months now. The brake was to hard out of box for me but had everything I needed to dial it down to my liking.
Nice! I’ll be trying different configurations for sure
really starting to think about upgrading my pedals from my Fanatec V3 thanks for the review as these were on my lists
Would be a great upgrade for sure

The XP-1 are significantly better in my opinion.
Would you recommend the xp1's over the p1000 for mostly sim drifting? I'm on the fence for either a simagic bundle or the simucube bundle with xp1

Im sleeping because i have the VRS pedals and dont need to look anymore. But having trying them they are nice. Next upgrade would be a active pedal.
I haven’t reviewed the VRS but I have no doubt about their abilities. People love them
so rare to get a decent setup out of the box. Some companies still charge extra in order to allow that adjustment!
Yeah I think most companies want pedals to feel great from the factory and they want the upgrade kits to offer people freedom and eliminate doubt.
What did you use for the pedal plate? Do you have a link?
Interesting to see a comparison of SIMNET (P1000 clones) vs SIMTRECS.. in price to feel ratio..lol
Is that an Asr Pro rig? How do you like it? Thanks!

Any reason to get these if already running he ult +?

They need lubricant quite often, especially the throttle.
Interesting. I’ll see how I get on in my long term review over the coming weeks. At least all the bits are easy to access.
@LaurenceDusoswa I take mine apart and wipe WD-40 . It works better than lithium grease etc . Just my experience and it's pretty much the throttle pedal
Isnt the drop off because of elastomer?
Yes correct. A cup solution like the meca evo or simforge pedals would solve this. Or more, smaller elastomers
