I just got my air fryer today my chicken strips came out super perfect. I marinate my chicken strips in mustard and Frank's Red Hot sauce. And I put them in seasoned flour. And then lay them in the airfryer. I will never fry my chicken pork chops or fish and regular grease anymore. This air fryer is awesome. Oh and I also spray Pam on the chicken after I flower them.
Thanks! I thought that in was impossible to have à nice crust with a flour coating in an Air fryer. I have a recipe where flour is needed and i was afraid i would have to change my recipe to use bread crumbs or panko .
@@priscillac7932 No it don't. After you put the sauce on the chicken you immediately put it in the flour. After that you spray the cooking spray on the floured chicken
@@chrishinnant3924 ohh I see I thought you meant marinate like overnight or something. That makes more sense. Everytime I do a buttermilk marinade on my fried chicken it always come out soggy. But thank you for replying. I know some people don’t be commenting back lol
@@priscillac7932 oh yeah that's a No-No. I've marinate my chicken overnight before too and it came out horrible. But just try Frank's red hot sauce and mustard and a couple of dashes of Lawry's seasoned salt but not too much, your chicken will come out delicious
I bought the absolute cheapest and most basic of air fryers because I didn't know if I was going to like it and I really enjoy it. Thanks for all the tips!
I thought about doing that, but after watching a lot of videos, I bought a Ninja double sided one with the removable wall between the baskets so it has a big area as well. Best thing I've brought home in a long time! I can actually cook now!🤣
Walmart has a White Color Pioneer Woman 5.8 ct on sale for $35 , it's huge. I actually got it for my daughter & now I'm thinking I should get one for a backup 😂❤ ...you can also make a chicken pizza crust & chicken nuggets out of canned chicken or ground chicken..
How funny, he sounds just like me! My brother always teases me saying I eat like his grandkids 😂 Going to Sam’s later today to restock my Starburst jelly beans lol
Thank you! I made these last night. They were truly the best tenders I’ve ever had. Crispy on the outside, and just juicy enough on the inside. I did smoked paprika and garlic powder and added a chicken rub spice to the panko as well. I can’t wait to make them again.
Just made these tonight. Fantastic! I don’t even miss chicken cutlets since there’s always so much oil. Def will be a normal rotation in our house! And half the time to clean up.
Looks delicious! I noticed you don't trim away any of that annoying white tendon that I find so unpleasant...I like to trim off that large piece (about an inch long) that sticks out.
This is perfect. I have an air fryer and don't ever feel like deep frying. I've been trying to have more protein in my diet and I'm super excited for this because I can add it to my pasta dishes, make wraps with it, and more!!
My wife and I did this recipe a couple days in a row thanks to this video. Super delicious, cooked to perfection, and definitely a new staple in our household. I'm also amazed at how easy it was to cook!
I am looking forward to trying this! I saw a few weeks ago on another channel someone marinated their tenders with pickle juice in a ziploc bag for a few hours before doing the egg wash and crust. I tried it iout and it gave the tenders a really nice light pickle taste to them and made them nice and tender!
I made these tonight and they turned out great. I loved the crunchy breading. I followed the prep exactly. And for once the breading stuck to the chicken. I didn't need the full 5 minutes after flipping. Checked them with an instant thermometer and they were done. Using a Ninja air fryer.
I came on UA-cam to find a chicken tender recipe and here you are! I wasn’t thinking about using bread crumbs but why not!! It will be only the second thing I’ve made in my new air fryer. I got a small, cheap one, perfect for one person.
Thank you so much John for this recipe. These chicken tenders look delicious; I will definitely try. Now I'm going to search your bourbon chicken recipe for the sauce.
02:09 Sir, I saw you "cranking and cranking" on the pepper mill... and I just want to say, if you've never heard of the "Pepper Cannon" by mannkitchen, it's an awesome awesome pepper-mill. I use mine EVERY SINGLE DAY.. and I've not regretted my purchase at all. Its a quality piece of kitchen kit. I'm just giving a heads up. Buy it, cry once, have a life time of fresh cracked black pepper at whatever size you want.. the course setting works really well.. but so does the FINE setting as well. Also thanks for the recipe! I normally deep fry my stuff, but hell peanut oil is getting ridiculously expensive.. But I am super surpised at the airfry cook time. I do my Chicken tenders 350 Fahrenheit in my deep fryer for 6 minutes, and they are DONE.
OK you've convinced me the panko crumbs are the way to go. I've tried this with regular breadcrumbs but got disappointing results. I'll try the panko crumbs next time.
I got some bbq rub. What are some combinations and how much of each seasoning should I add to the bread crumbs. Wanted to do some bbq chicken tenders but wasn’t sure if I should just use bread crumbs and bbq seasoning and that’s it. Hmm
I would suggest adding a teaspoon of the BBQ rub to ½ cup of panko. Dredge one tender. Then add 1 more teaspoon of spice to the panko. Air fry both and see which one you like better! fyi the BBQ rub should have all the seasoning you need.
That looks delicious. 😋 can you do fries? I try to air fry fries or put in the oven, but they always taste plain and dry even when I do spray with oil and don't turn out crispy. It only taste good when I put them in the deep fryer.
I only do fries in the air fryer. No oil, just good brand of fries. Come out perfect every single time. 400° for 15 to 18 minutes. I remove the rack and put the fries directly on the bottom of the air fryer drawer. I will never fry in oil again! This is super easy and no mess. Enjoy!
I use this mix on everything you can think of! Veggies are fantastic. If you want crispy fish use the panko. I like to use Wondra flour for a lighter taste.
If you only own a smallish air fryer and need to cook in batches, how would you recommend keeping the first and possibly second batch warm while cooking the others……in the oven set on warm?????
More air fryer please ❤ when i make my KFC recipe the herbs and spices are mixed in to the flour, no bread crumbs, then fried. Can i use this method with an air fryer or won't it go crispy? Thanks ❤
Pour like 1-2 spoons of oil to your chicken, rub the oil evenly, add the flour mix the flour with hands evenly... Preheat air fryer on max heat.. Put the chicken in.. fry on max heat for 6-7 mins.. so the flour can crisp up.. then 160°C for another 7-10 mins. No crumbs no problem, as long as You preheat and coat the thing with oil evenly, doesnt need much oil just needs to be evenly coated.. The chicken should still look a bit wet sticking with flour
Looks yummy, used to have an air fryer but we got rid of it after it broke, also, could I just bake these in the oven instead of air frying? Love your channel and have many of your recipes written down for whenever I'm making something for my family😃
Great Recipe!!! That is one thing I have never tried in my arlir fryer!!! I'm definitely going to now!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!!! God Bless Us All!!!

Best thing about air fryers; your food isn’t sitting in grease!
I used a different coating method, but everything else the same and it came out delicious!
Man, I seriously need to invest in an air fryer. These tenders with some spicy mustard or hot sauce (I make my own), I'd be having a good time!
I just got an air fryer! Great recipes! Keep them coming! Stay warm people!
I really like this fork/hand method better than the wet hand/dry hand method 👍🏻
Your wife must be so proud of you! She's lucky to have you in the kitchen!

chicken tenders are one of my favorite types of chicken meals so if i had air fryer would definitely give this a go
thank you! adding these to my mealprep lunches next week!
I see you didn't remove the tendon, how is that when eating? Does it make a difference?
You can buy them without.🫵🏿 WTH.
When you buy chicken tenders, the tendon is already removed. It is only there on a full complete chicken breast.
John, you are the best!!! Thank you for this recipe!
Just tried the pancake recipe. Very easy to follow, my kids LOVED THEM. Can wait to try something new

I love the looks of these! I might have to make them to serve over waffles for brunch this weekend!
Instead of eggs, I use equal parts mayo (Dukes is my fav) & olive oil for my wet. This makes a super flavorful tender.
Dipping in oil and mayo defeats the purpose of using an air fryer 😐
Bro you know mayo is eggs and olive oil right?😂
Just made these and they are easy and delicious!
A great seasoning for chicken cooked in an air fryer or deep fried is lawrys seasoned salt.

This was a really great dinner tonight!
Wow I am about to make this !!
Wonder if this would work with a flour coating instead of pako bread crumbs
It works great! Just not crispy. I use flour when I want to cut the tenders up and put it on top of a Caesar salad.
Hi John, is panco bread crumbs the same as putting bread in the mixer and chopping it to a fine bread crumb?
Hello can you use this mix as well on cod fish too or does it just have to be chicken
I use this mix on everything you can think of! Veggies are fantastic. If you want crispy fish use the panko. I like to use Wondra flour for a lighter taste.

Flour is not the best in an air fryer. Use bread crumbs instead or a lot of people use crushed cornflakes.
