There are a few that have mastered saying sorry speaking the words ,but its an illusion. They justify thier actions still by blaming outside forces real or imagined ,people or places. It becomes inauthentic as they extend the sorry out by pointing out why things went wrong and how its not thier fault even though they began by crafting an apology ,it never is real. Or the other fake version which goes along the lines of the kindergarten forced apology. "I said im sorry Ok ,can we get over this" very much like childhood in which the teacher forces someone to say sorry ,and they only say the words so they can leave the situation. These people have never matured since childhood to really relate to the effect they have on people in thier behaviour. Thx VG for an important topic.
Question: I've worked in helping fields and my family is cra cra. I retired early, moved to a rural town, cut off many. I have nothing left. O was riddled with panic attacks, racing thoughts and just disturbed. Its been 3 years I feel much better. I'm finding that the few o didn't cut off are just like the others. Should this be quicker?😩
I once received an "apology" that went like this: "I apologize for what I did, but if the same situation were to happen I would respond in the exact same way". How does one make any sense of that?

YW "WarriorsSon" - btw, if it's a fake apology with deflection etc... it's NOT an apology, just manipulation.

True. I apologised and they said thanks, as far as I’m concerned we are good. Like what. That can’t be all of your thoughts of what I apologised for.
The onus is on YOU, not them.

hahaha... non apology.
Sad huh, closest I ever came to an apology from that person after years of painful situations.
Took me a while to get this understanding! I felt things but couldn't quite put my hands on it
we grow with experience
Yessssss, I have gotten one apology from my brother in 58 years……. I was in total shock⚡️However, that didn’t last long.
Oh no!
