    Happy New Year! I hope you had a nice relaxing holiday. To kick off the new year I wanted to share a recipe that is eaten at special occasions (including New Years), Sukiyaki! It's a luxurious simmered wagyu beef dish, eaten communally at the table. This dish does contain raw egg, if you can't eat raw egg be sure to check out the gyudon video to make onsen tamago instead (linked in the description).

    Sukiyaki was the first Japanese dish I ever ate many years ago. Never did the raw egg though.

      That’s great!! That’s a luxurious introduction to Japanese cuisine! Yeah, the raw egg took me a minute to get over. I think the hot spring eggs would be a good alternative. 😃
