- In this video, Tim demonstrates alternatives and stepping stones to performing the table-top maneuver. These 4 movements are great ways to open the hip flexors and turn on the glutes. They also help open up the shoulders.
Try these out and let me know what you think. Pretty please...!
Hey Tim, I am on the opposite end of the spectrum with this move(front of right shoulder soreness from past injuries). This video was really helpful. When doing the Daily 21s I would struggle with the top of the tabletop. I decided to break the move up into 2 parts. Elevated to get the hip extension benefit and then a straight arm with straight leg bridge to improve the shoulder strength range. Thanks again. 👍🏽
I've recently started working on getting my table-top, so this is a timely video for me. Thanks Tim!
Oh wow, that’s great!
Love it, thank you so much
Glad it’s helpful!
I'm doin' well. Thank you for asking Tim. Btw brilliant video as always. Oh....and how you doin'?
I’m doing great, my friend!
It feels really good. Thx Tim
Awesome!
Always good content
Glad it’s helpful!
Thanks
Great!
Hope it helps!
When I perform the first rite I begin by looking at my right hand and continue this throughout the 21 spins. This negates any dizziness during the process, saw this online. Does this negate or diminish the benefits? I also saw online where when performing rite 4 the instructor does not touch the ground in between each of the 21 repetitions. This really gets the heart pumping and, I believe increases the strength build up. Same question - does this diminish the benefits obtained from performing the Rite (tabletop)?
So everything has it’s plus and minus. By looking at your hand you do help negate dizziness. But you also don’t allow your body to adjust to the dizziness. And you may also miss out on some of the eye and head tracking benefits of turning and rotating or even fixing the head in place. Exploring different ways allows you to experience all the benefits. Same thing with the Rite 4. In the book, the author has the person touch the ground. You can keep yourself suspended if you want, but again it comes back to what is your goal and intention of the movement? There is no one way for anything, just thousands of options and possibilities. Curiosity and exploration are your friends here.
