    OMG THIS IS ME. I've seen every doctor and specialst and they did not have the answers but I was diagnosed with tmjd with neckpain and headaches, piriformis syndrome with legpain, and severe endometriosis and costochondritis!!! This can't be a coinsedence. I've been so miserable. Dizzyness.. Severe migraine like headaches. Pelvic tilt. My pelvis is adhered with endometriosis adhesions. So that prob is the cause of all other symptoms. I do have a mouthguard but doesn't help me. My jaw is located to the left, and all my issues are on the right side. My God. I also was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I have no idea why. I'm not overweight and I'm relatively young (39) I have face pain all the time. Nerve pain. Issues swallowing... This is me completely. I'm in shock.
    Omgggg I have a missing molar and that's when shit hit the fan. When that tooth was pulled. 3 years ago. Add a deviated septum. Which causes breathing issues.. Wow. I'm completely in awe cause this is me to a T

    Dear Neal,
    You are my guru, and I have accidentally discovered something that I believe will help everyone immensely. Please do take the time to read this.
    I think it all comes down to breathing, as you have mentioned. Many people suffering from body issues and TMCC patterns just need to fix one thing: their breathing pattern. Once this is corrected, the body opens up and fixes itself-and I mean it, immediately.
    I personally had a TMCC pattern, with an asymmetrical face and a chin deviated to the right. I couldn’t smile properly, to the point where people thought I was rude or selfish, or at least self-absorbed. The best I could do was a smirk, which made my life miserable, as if I were trapped in my own body with no way to express myself-kind of like the movie Get Out. I’m not exaggerating.
    Since the day I started watching your videos, I began trying everything you suggested. A few days ago, I realized that because my nostrils were angled downward (due to combining mewing), I should try breathing as if they were in their correct position. So, I began breathing from forward to backward instead of from downward to upward. The moment I did this, you won’t believe it-my jaw, which had been stuck and squished to the right, immediately opened up. For the first time in 14 years, I could feel my muscles. The asymmetry vanished immediately. Wow, just wow!
    As I continued breathing this way, I noticed that all the exercises you had mentioned were happening naturally. It was like my body was on autopilot, and suddenly everything returned to how it was 14 years ago.
    I’m just a 23-year-old guy, and spending 14 years-basically my entire childhood-like that was heartbreaking, demoralizing, and emotionally painful. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I experienced during that time.
    So please, think about this and, if possible, share it with others.
    To repeat: it’s about focusing on breathing through the nostrils as if the air is in front of you. Breathe in a straight line, from forward to backward or toward you through your nostrils. It feels like many of us are breathing from below to upwards, imagining that the nostrils are droopy and open from below because the nose is not in its proper position. So we naturally think we’re breathing from downward to upward instead of front to back.
    This breathing method engaged all my muscles properly and even fixed my posture. Let me know what you think.
    TL;DR: Just focus on breathing as if you have perfect posture, and your body will handle the rest.

    I have been following your videos for a long time now, Neal, and they have helped me greatly. I have finally got an appointment at Kings College London after an MRI revealed the TMJ issues I knew I had. But I have been sent around from medial department to medical department achieving nothing. They haven't told me exactly what they found, but at least they have seen the issue for themselves on the MRI and I now have the appointment. This video could help a lot in explaining to them the effects my TMJ has had on my posture, breathing, eyesight, etc.

It felt as though I wanted to put my arm in a sling. I noticed my whole body was 'off' like I couldn't really control it and had no proprioception. Also the brain fog and inabilty to make decisions and retain information I just read. Terrifying. Ive accepted it now and of course had the deep brain stimulation and took Rytary. This is extremely interesting. That flight or fight response produces a cascade of unwanted hormonal responses that also leads to cognitive dysfunction and essentially a situation where rational thought is impossible. This can also lead to a trauma response if not switched off and a constant state of anxiety. This makes me wonder about these people choice of political affiliation, as present psychology determines such things as well as their outlook on reality. It has also been shown there is a connection between anxiety states and the occurance of cancer. So it would be interesting to see if such autonomic system/body misalignment can influence that to, especially if it causes anxiety if undetected.

I've actually noticed now things I've questioned about my body comparison to others and alwaies sucked my stomach in and eventually that caused my shoulders to throw forwards along with my neck and jaw, younger being self conciess of my weight and large build. last year I lost a few teeth one being a large molar the other a wisdom tooth. and my jaw has slowly shifted. I'm also ADHD all the time on the edge of complete chaos, yet I've learned to somewhat manage it over the year, with yoga. I recently noticed and so did other my speech to become slurred to the point I have changed my behavior of being very happy out going and chatty, as I've been know for my entire life. To now I rarely bother with conversation unless it's quite nessalessary , and because I stopped my yoga due to thinking I had pulled a muscle, and that was a go to to avoid medication for me it very much centered me and nothing quite ever worked as well as it has. Along side the abrupt feeling I was bothering others from them askinge to please repeat things sometimes to the point id just say forget it. It's been a few months since and I was starting to think I may have had a stroke or something. This is a great gift, you helded me set a new direction today and it's med free, I hope you reach everyone who needs this information you and you wisdom are a blessing to me and I appreciate you taking away from your own life to share great insight. 👍👍

    Tongue is the culprit. It must stay FULLY UP on the wall of the mouth. Most of these problems occur because you are not using the right muscles to carry weight of your head.
    If you don’t use tongue, the body will use shoulder to carry the weight of the head. And that would be an onset of faulty posture.

    • @SerpWerx
      @SerpWerx 3 місяці тому +5

      Yes I agree, but also muscle imblances of the arms and torso will cause muscles strain on the vertebrae and nerve compression leading to involuntary muscle contraction of the the neck and upper back muscles and then this becomes a vicious cycle (even moreso if the vagus nerve gets compressed)

    • @uboobly
      @uboobly 3 місяці тому +1

      Completely incorrect, the tongue is just going along for the ride of the problem, Ron Hruska begs of you to stop focusing on the tongue

      @@SerpWerxyes! I broke my upper ribs and arm and it's messed up the entire chain. I'm an athlete so not unstable, but relaxed posture is impossible. Never have neck pain and I'm not unstable, but my scapula now sits slumped from the rib fractures.
      Not sure what to do. Rib or shoulder surgery?

    Thank you so much. I have been struggling with chronic pain and fatigue for years and have tried everything to help myself. I got diagnosed with TMJ years ago amongst other things and didn’t know it had such a significant connection. Also have been severely depressed. I want so badly to be fit and mentally well and have tried and persevered with numerous things but it seems to help a little bit for a while but then I get so discouraged because the pain and fatigue sets in which seems disproportionate to what I’m actually doing and I get very disheartened and lose faith. I have never heard this before and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this video. X

    hi neal, i just want to say thank you for explaining what really is happening to me because i struggled with almost everything(knee clicking, tight hamstrings, hip discomforts, tight hipflexors, tight back etc) for more than 4 years and i went to several therpist but no progress and after discovering your channel about 3 months ago i recently found out that my bite is incorrect( i only feel a little bit right molers but i feel my right canine the most but no left side if i bite) which is keeping my jaw muscles really and neck really tight so i went to the dentist and they said they can fix it with braces and i live in suriname and we dont have a pri facility here so braces are my only option.

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  3 місяці тому +3

      Before braces, I'd make sure there isn't any major asymmetry in the palate (one side of the palate wider/narrower than the other), that your airway is not being restricted, that you have a curve in your neck, and that the midlines of your top and bottom teeth are aligned. Don't get braces on a jaw that is deviated, it'll just lock you into a deviated position.

    Been doing B.E.S.T. From Sue Morter’s place at Morter Health Center and Carmel, Indiana, or a very long time. At first, I worked with I believe her nephew Ted Morter, who helped me release, subconscious trauma triggers of things from my past like worthiness and self-worth. Little by little all of those weeds were pulled out and now I walk the Earth I was intended by God to walk this earth! It’s so freeing to have your boundaries, healthy and firm and not let things attached to you
    As a health and weight loss coach, I send people often to release their trauma blocks of worthiness when it comes to being in the best health and deserving love and perfect health. :-) The sympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems are super important to understand as most people live their life and constant fighter flight, Sympathetic nervous system and never know how to get into calm safe parasympathetic. 🎉

      You find a postural restoration practitioner and make appointments which you attend. 😬 Which I did, and she applied the whole right side dominant theory but I'm not right side dominant for what was bothering me. So i applied the technique to release opposite to what she instructed and that's when i found some relief. Trust your own inner voice. Good luck with whatever's ailing you

    Neil you are beyond amazing. I wish with all my heart that I could go and visist you and be guided by you out of the situation I'm in which has destroyed so much of my life. I'm 38 and I live in Lisbon... I have a very weird pattern that is getting more and more severe, I've had absolutely excruciating pain this year. My right iliac "rolls" forward and my whole pelvis is turned to the left, I know you say that is rarely the case but I am probably an exception... This creates a terrible imbalance and this year I have started having shooting pain in my pelvic floor, uterus, related to the fact that my body is stuck in a spiral. My right leg has zero internal rotation. I have this awful tightness, almost like a cramp, from the whole right side of my back down to my SI, to the abdomen, groin, hip. Its so distressing to not find help, and to top it all off I had a really bad fall on may sacrum about 8 years ago so my tailbone is super unstable and hurts. Can't sit, can't walk more than 5 minutes. I spent months in bed, in agony, this year. Lost my job, my company, etc etc and it's very a hard to keep going and believing that I'll miraculous get my life back
    If I could I would travel to go and work with you, but I'm broke 😅 Thankyou for your AMAZING generosity, it gives me hope.

    Tooth loss was caused from TMJ which was caused by my being really angry for a long time.
    I see a chiropractor who also does acupuncture and I get that sometimes.
    They make me do a lot of exercises that I also do at home..
    I am going to share this video with my chiropractor and my dentist.
    My dentures don't fit properly.
    I can only get done what my insurance will pay for.
    I trip and fall on my knees while walking more often than I would like to admit, and one of my knees is a replacement.

    In 2011 I almost died from a dental abscess in the bottom right side of my mouth. It deformed my jaw, and it had to be pulled to save my life. Recently I went to the dentist to try to work on my remaining teeth--on the bottom right side of my mouth. Dentist gave me a shot in the back of my mouth and left me there to let it take effect. Within minutes, I was crying, shaking, and I was terrified. My jaw began clenching ON ITS OWN and would not open up. The dentist had to send me home because my bp & heart rate were so high. I was totally at a loss as to why it was happening. 🙁
    From GERD dissolving my lower teeth, I have one molar left on the bottom. So I know I have uneven muscle tone and I'm unable to wear my CPAP mask because my jaw slides backward and falls open. I mentioned to my doctor that I need some kind of mouth piece to prevent my jaw from sliding backward, but doctors don't take you seriously unless you come at them with paper proof of things, which I don't have.
