One thing I liked about end of Zoe was when I first saw the swamp monster throw a punch at us, I instantly knew that it was Jack because I recognized the way that he warmed up his punch by clenching his fist in front of his face. It was just so memorable and kinda cool when I first saw it in the base game. While a bunch probably saw this as well, I just felt the need to point it out. I felt so clever. 🤓
I actually love Natalia's story just because the implication being a slow descent into her madness. Alex taunting and gaslighting is amazing. It's a shame this plot line literally never comes up again after this.
Your list is great but personally, I really love "Little Miss" 😍 the dreamy but also ominous atmosphere, the soundtrack, and Alex disguised herself as Natalia but in different outfit and hair color. They are all just very interesting to me 😁 Btw, I love your videos about Resident Evil. Will always wait for your next video 🤗
One thing i didn’t like about the sisters dlc is that it goes against content from the main game. Like i remember there being documents in the base game that mention the bakers grew more and more insane and physically F-ed up in a time frame way longer than one night. With the mother concerned about a growing black spot on her ultrasounds, and journal entries from family members making less and less sense. This was a lot scarier to me and well.. i don’t think the quality of the writing or the quality of the gameplay of the dlc justifies the retcon ! Just a thought !
I don’t even see how 50% of fans can be pissed off about #1 spot, I understand there’s a handful of RE fans that are at this point impossible to please but they turned Seperate Ways from a extra game mode to essentially a “B” scenario similar to RE2 (and does it better than both versions of RE2) and it’s actually LONGER than some RE games (looking at you RE3R). No contest Separate Ways is winner and it’s not all that close.
I haven't played most of the DLCs on this list except the ones for RE5 and RE4R, but even if I had there is no doubt in my mind that Seperate Ways would still be the best. It's just so well rounded with more of the same amazing characters you love from the base game and it fits perfectly. Sure it's meant to be like that, but you still often think "Why do we do this?" or "Why is this here?", yet that's not the case with Seperate Ways, at least not for me. As for Ada's voice actress: At first I was a little bummed, because it felt like it deviated a bit too much from her normal flirtatious ways with Leon, but her characters has gotten more serious with the Remake and overall she did a pretty good job in my eyes, so over time (I'Ve played the base game like 30 times and Seperate Ways at least 10 times) she's grown on me.
My Favourites are; Ghost survivors, Re4 separate ways and the Re5 DlC lost in nightmares. There is so much potential for more Ghost survivors i think, like episodes focusing on Brad, Marvin other umbrella soldiers etc.
I personally think the end of Zoe should be higher just because of how cool joe kills the molded with his punches. Ever since re5 after watching Chris punch a boulder, i wanted a game where u only use close combat re DLC and we got one and i was really happy with it.
Honestly I think daughters should’ve been higher on the list. Now sure the gameplay isn’t anything special but the pure horror is amazing. Also the whole beginning of it with walking around the baker estate before it became what it is in the base game was nice and even somber knowing what happens next. And the horror in this dlc was done so well! It honestly felt like playing through a nightmare. The fact that we play as Zoe makes it even more disturbing seeing through her eyes her own parents become insane and try to kill her. The thought was already disturbing enough but getting to actually play through adds a whole level of horror to it all.
Fun list! Ada's voice actor does hamper the experience for me, so I would go with the Original version over the remake. The reason it didn't come with the Game Cube version is because that's the original version! It's DLC! Every other port packaged it together after the fact. Anyway, my #1 is Lost in Nightmares (RE5), #2 Bedroom (RE7), #3 Shadow of Rose (RE8) #4 Separate Ways (RE4) #5 The Ghost Survivors (RE2R)
Lost In Nightmares was amazing, and such a great way to shut the people up who didn't like how they took the horror out of Resident Evil in RE5. I feel bad for anyone who never got to experience it.
Have you done a video on back storys of re characters? Like before their games even start. Theres some pretty funny lore out there, like how leon broke up with his girlfriend and was hungover for the entirety of re2
@@NerdSpaceGames that would be sick, I believe the comics have a good bit of lore in them, I've never read them myself, but I've heard good things about them
Shout out to 2023 Seperate Ways for launching with a full RRP of only 7.99 on PSN in my region. Didn't even contemplate waiting for a sale. Well done to Capcom. They could have easily charged twice that.
RE4 remake Separate Ways DLC does belong at the top of the list. It didn't even feel like a DLC. It was just another story in this same world we're playing in, and it worked so well. It also helped space out content that crammed up the main story in the original release.
How do these Story based DLCs work? You buy them and then you can activate and deactivate them if you want the original experience. Or how do they work?
Nowadays most of these games are included with gold editions of each re game. In that situation, it’s dependent on the game. Like re5 I believe you need to get to a certain point in the story to unlock lost in nightmares whereas I think in re7 for example the DLCs are available from the get go
I loved Daughters fur RE7. Added some great backstory. I think RE8 had a big missed opportunity for DLC. Could've had a backstory to the village at the start of infection, story dlc for each of the lords would have been amazing
Welcome back! SW are up there for sure but personally I loved every bit of Ghost Survivors, this is my all time favourite RE dlc! Desperate escape is top 3 imo, but Shadows of Rose is a so and so dlc, little new places, way overpriced for sure.
I must've completed Separate Ways at least 15 times already, in fact I spent the last couple of days doing repeat playthroughs using only 1 weapon type in each playthrough, the Crossbow was by far the worst, it's shit against bosses and mini-bosses since its ammo is so expensive in terms of resources, and it's honestly 50/50 between the TMP and the Handguns for which was the most fun.
I can't have the Lost in Nightmares DLC be in my Top 3 because it doesn't fix any of the problems from the main game, the fixed camera view and the tank controls are good, but that's it
List was great LIN is so nostalgic to me but separate ways is the best re dlc in years. Also is that a mod for re revelations 2 for health bars if so can you link it?
Obviously I’m biased, but the reason I love Separate Ways is because it took the challenge of creating a spy genre within a survival horror game. The genres technically shouldn’t jive, but they do brilliantly. The illustrious nature of Ada slinking through gothic and ornate architecture among a medieval backdrop like an old spy movie. Corporations lying dormant within a doomsday cult. To which the gloomy and isolated atmosphere compliments Ada’s world of spy noire. It’s literally my version of a Barbie dream house. All of its features, story, and Ada especially merged to truly give you the immersion of being a suave super-spy amid a doomsday scenario. Again, all doing this story within the constraints of a survival horror franchise. It just shows Resident Evil is still a creative franchise while Separate Ways completely lends itself as a love letter to spy genre.
I gotta say regarding the end of Zoe DLC not feeling like a resident evil game. Resident evil seven or eight felt like resident evil games at all. They're fun but aside from a few names they are not resident evil games at all
Not a Hero is towards the bottom of the list imo, and it might be a hot take I dont care, but Ada's voice actress in re4 remake is better than the original. I agree that Separate Ways is the best dlc
Def agree, RE 4 Remake Separate ways is the best RE DLC. So much i can say to give it praise. I’m getting a lot of replayability in it! RE4 Remake all around was done in outstanding fashion
It was a mistake & I mentioned that in a earlier comment. People are human and make mistakes. I’m truly sorry. Idk why I didn’t catch it during editing. That’s on me though. FYI incase you’re wondering I do the editing, the script, the filming, & everything associated with this video. Perhaps that’s why I do make mistakes from time to time though. So no I don’t just read off of something someone else wrote because I wrote it… but I appreciate your feedback and I’ll try to make sure I don’t slip up again. My apologies.

End of Zoe was my favorite out of all the ones I played. Just have to love Joe punching things to death.
You should make a video of the coolest/best deaths in the series!! Could include both protagonists and antagonists
I have never played a DLC without playing the main game first, but I might make an exception here with RE5 Lost in Nightmares DLC.

I'm really curious as to why everyone is hating her voice actress. Ada is cold and detached. She's going to sound that way
I don’t hate her voice, it’s just not for me. Again, just could be nostalgia but I’m just a much bigger fan of her voice acting in previous games.
